I've been super into leather duffels lately. It's not the most practical but it's classy and timeless af. It'd be great if you could do a review or two! I don't even care what bag. I just really like watching leather duffel videos *while frantically scratching my neck like an addict*.

My last duffel was 39 dollars. Roller duffel. Lasted 16 years before it started looking ratty. Still functional but ratty. Flew for business all year for 10 of those years. Checked it and let the luggage folks abuse it. So... Pretty much the best duffel can be had for 39 dollars...
TLDR; Please make a small duffel (< 35L) compilation video!
Thinking of adding a duffel to my bag/luggage set. When I am checking my large rolling bag and want something aside from my backpack (Synapse 25) for extra storage, as I don't want a large backpack. My OCD always makes me fearful of checking a bag (which I try to avoid if I can) and not having enough in my backpack should my bag get lost for a couple of days... Something I can sit on my rolling bag for transport or pack inside the large roller if room exists and I am heading home (far less worried about losing a bag for a few days after I am home). I want it to be small enough to avoid it getting too heavy and having it pack-able is a plus, yet large enough for road trips, supplementing my backpack as I try to avoid taking my small rolling bag when possible. Thinking of getting a small Tom Bihn Yeoman Duffel, but it's so boring...
Good looking bag but I am not a fan of the black sidestraps dangling around on the sides...
Does the outside pouch fit a IPad mini?

How much does it weigh unloaded? I love the look and feel of waxed canvas, but it's not the lightest material ever made. I wonder if there's a waxed cordura or something that gives the same aesthetic but is lighter? hmmm...
Feels solid, but i wouldn't say it feels "heavy." (Don't have a scale here to weigh, lo ciento.) I would take the waxed over anything else, personally... just feels so much softer and denser.
