    There are 2 more tips:
    1. Push the thumb down, the so called pour the coffee . This works for some.
    2. Supinate the wrist, roll your forearm so your palm is pointed up. Hold the disc and make the same motion.
    If you do this at the very end it is the "turn the key" movement, but this creats OAT (off angle torque), so just as with the grip tip here, set tbe grip and your supination amd hold it.
    Another way to practice this is to loosen the wrist and arm and hold the disc vertical in the reach back back and rotate it horizontal as you throw. This creates a ton of OAT, so smooth it out once you get a feel for it.

    1:37 I really like the grip idea. Makes sense to place it in your hand nose down!

      Isn't that a great idea! Got to give Overthrow disc golf credit for that one!

    One of my major life goals is to rip distance drivers nose-down and 400 plus
    Been playing disc golf for over 20 years, but that golden drive hasn't clicked yet.
    As for putting, I'm no good, but I don't care or practice.

    The nose angle and trajectory seems simple but difficult to execute. For big arm throwers who prefer hyzer shots, this seems to work great. I am a slower arm and my natural release is flat and straight. So, I feel stuck at the 300 -315 ft range. My FH are starting to go longer than my BH, and those will elevate with nose down. So, I am wondering if the amount of spin applied to the disc helps with that trajectory.

    • @discgolfteacher
      @discgolfteacher  Рік тому

      Yes, this will definitely take some practice! Spin might make it go farther, but I don't really think about putting more or less spin on it. Maybe Gyro (MVP/AXIOM) could keep more spin on your disc longer since more mass is their rims.

      Try keeping your wrist bent longer during the throw to the point where you’re thinking “no way should still have my wrist bent.” This was the single biggest distance improvement for me. You want that thing to spin

    Looking at the trailer 2 diagnal runup is still straight since you throw in the same exact direction therefore its a straight run up

    • @JillLaSalle
      @JillLaSalle Рік тому

      Looking at it in .25 speed on the diagonal angle video you still run straight towards the direction you throw then the disc turns off the line so it still is straight run up maybe with a slight late release or rounding which you mentioned in the vid

      @discgolfteacher I went and look at the 2022 us distance championship your not doing it wrong its just the info in the vid thats wrong pros do that to get more room for the disc to fly through the air and not turn into trees. The only ones who do that are Ricky Wysocky and MattyO

    One more idea : grip with the index finger on top of the disc, almost like an inverted grenade grip. This is what I have adopted to get the nose down. It may not be the best for everyone, but it definitely works for me!

    • @discgolfteacher
      @discgolfteacher  Рік тому

      Interesting! I've never heard thar tip before!

    • @leopard3131
      @leopard3131 Місяць тому

      Thus grip is called "the bone of pain". The nose is down, but it hurts many people, thus the name, so be careful and don't throw hard at first.
      What you do is hold the disc with the bone of pain, grip the disc with the off hand, release your grip, move your index finger down under the rim and re grip. The off hand maintains the down angle.

  • @Gh0stz9211
    @Gh0stz9211 Рік тому

    One thing that was the biggest problem for me is I put the nose down at 12 o clock but in reality the disc doesn't rip out at 12 more like 10. So that nose down turns into nose up because your hand is tilted for the 12 o clock path!

    • @discgolfteacher
      @discgolfteacher  Рік тому

      Can you adjust it to the correct "time?"

      @@discgolfteacher I've yet to actually try it but I'm sure I can. I just sorta realized yesterday while throwing with the bonapane grip to get a feel of what nose down is. I need to "turn the key pour the coffee" so it'll be nose down at 10

  • @swampthang2953
    @swampthang2953 Рік тому

    really good tips. but I think that there is a timing issue with all these throws. the lead foot isn't down before your throw. and your angle integrity is minimal. the arm twists immediately on the follow through..
