That was pretty exciting, for Mayim Bialik to do her first ever JEOPARDY! Tiebreaker on a national stage, during a tournament setting. I kinda suspected that it was going to happen somewhere, but we finally made it. No matter who won that tiebreaker, it was really a thriller and a joy to watch. Great job, ladies!
2nd overall in Post-Trebek era, 1st was the regular game when Ken Jennings was a guest host in Season 37. Brian Chang won the tiebreaker and secured his eligibility for 2022 TOC at that time.
@@ajsy1090 Well, technically, this was a little different than that one (although yes, it is the 2nd), considering the fact that this was a first on a "national stage" (ABC) and NOT in syndicated form, a first for Mayim Bialik as host, and a first for a tournament setting, with her.
@@chrisfinch8637 Now 3rd in Post-Trebek era where Christine Whelchel won the tiebreaker and she became a 4 day J! champion & secured her eligibility at the 2022 TOC. Hopefully she will be qualified once the cutoff is revealed.

I'm a little saddened that Mayim won't be hosting the syndicated version of Jeopardy anymore. I enjoyed watching her host. Great personality, cute and nerdy. What's not to love?
I know- it was a disappointing thing to hear, since I thought she was so good and such, despite what other critics think.
Wherever she is now, I wish her well, and I hope she’ll be back on “Celebrity JEOPARDY!”, in the future, if at all possible.

One of my favorite shows to watch sometime and as for being on there I obviously know that I wouldn't do good on there since everything is history social studies questions based on the times where I didn't exist and not alive

I mean, outside of Final Jeopardy, that's what the entire game is about.
That must have been a crazy anxiety-inducing moment. You just tied in Final Jeopardy. You barely have time to process the category, and then you have to be the first, and correct, with the buzzer.
I get that. But how else could it be done while keeping the character of the game intact?

Why is it only this woman who is hosting Jeopardy? I'm fed up watching her. I prefer Mr Jennings. I've stopped watching because of her.
Mayim's response should have been "Be more specific instead of that's right, George Gershwin".
They usually accept last names only.
If there is more then one person who share the same last name and would be a valid answer to this question, THEN "Be more specific." would be the response.
George's brother, Ira was also a composer and song writer. They worked together on many projects.
I realize this is 10 months old, but I feel compelled to point out that Ira was not a composer. He was a lyricist.

Cannot stand this person as the host of this show. She just doesn’t fit. If she becomes the permanent host they’ve lost another viewer. Ken Jennings is a natural, sorry to all the mayhem fans but she is just not right for that show.
Alex Trebek was Jeopardy. What's up with this tie-breaker question crap. In the Trebek days when both contestants had the same amount of money, both contestants were invited back. It's now the same quality game show so It's no longer one of my game show favorites. 👋Jeopardy.

@@mrbroadwaydork In the 70 Jeopardy arrived I was 12. when contestants had the same value of 💰 all were ask to return and That over 50 years of no tiebreaker question so, This tiebreaker crap was introduced to the show format in 2016. used in 2018, 2019. I stand by what I said. It's Crap.
@@jeanpast7508 The tiebreaker was introduced to the regular show in 2016, but there have always been tiebreakers in tournaments! The 1996 Teen Tournament had one of the first ones.
In the tournament there could only be 1 winner in every game, so tiebreaker happened but in the regular games it was only implemented since post 2014-TOC Season 31 due to too many co-champions early in the season. Since the introduction in the regular games only 4 tiebreaker rounds happened, two from Alex and two from Ken. Two returning champions won the tiebreaker while two challengers won since the implementation.
Mayim is so boring and dull. Have Ken host everything, like Alex did.
I do not like the way she hosted the College Student show and insulted Jaskaran Singh by standing miles away to give him the Trophy I know Mr Alex would not have done that and he would have shaken his hand So in future she should not be allowed to host the show and be removed immediately and let Ken Jennings host the show alone If she is going to be on Jeopardy we will stop seeing it We have watched the show since it was first aired
It might be Covid protocols that don't allow her to physically interact with the contestants. She has to follow the rules that are set for her, can't really blame her for those.

@@bellabliss1860 yeah i was hoping jaskaran would have done better in his semi final but you can tell he knows his stuff. So i suppose naturally it comes down to categories. Who knows, maybe they will both overwage on daily doubles and miss and liz wins it haha.
