Decrypto fixed the one issue I had with Codenames, which was that the opposing team wasn't really doing anything on your own team's turn and vise versa. Instead, everyone is engaged almost all the time. Decrypto does have a weirder upfront teach, but it's always been worth it for my friends and I, and most of us prefer this over Codenames.
I definitely disagree with the 50-50 guess part. I've never seen players be completely blind. They may not be sure, but it still leans towards 60-40 or 70-30. Never a coinflip.
To clarify...sometimes Im sure about two of your clues, but then I have no idea on the third. But that would mean the third clue comes down to a 50-50 because there are only two unknowns left.
@@BoardGameCo Yeah but same thinking could be applied to pretty much most deduction games, including hidden movement ones. Sometimes you have to make a best guess and hope for the best.
