Most modern cars are the same regarding the reverse light output, they're terrible.
All they seem to do is show a white light at the rear so other road users can tell you are reversing.
Nice video and nice kit too, well done.

Just fitted these, the video instructions are great, thank you. I did find a surprise electrical connection when removing the passenger rear light cover, it has what looks to be an antenna stuck to the back of it with a small coaxial cable clipped to the back of the trim also. It didn’t hinder the fitting but it occurred to me that it would be awkward to upgrade these trims to the chequer plate versions you have. I wonder if the antenna is the wireless phone booster that was fitted on my 2022 110 HSE Commercial 300D. I have images if you need them, thanks again

Hi 🙋‍♂️ much better than the factory fitted specially good in off road dark area where is no light 💡 but I think it’s nice if they come with black glass instead white and matching with the rear lights. Even this is nice 👍 too. Good upgrade.
    Thanks 🙏

LOVE the product and appreciated Simon & Tyler's video. Here's some pointers from my experience. I have a 2022 MY 110 in the US. Dynamic-HSE. There was an aerial in the left quarter panel. It easily unclipped at the purple bottom connector. Take it to a bench and pry apart the bracket it's on. It's only 2-sided tape. Be careful. Remove residue and apply new 3M tape to the new quarter panel if doing at same time. If not, just disconnect if keeping same quarter panel. Tips from my install. 1) I used heat shrink connectors. 2) For the quarter panel to re-attach, those fat connectors REALLY have to be out of the way. It's a tightish fit, but it eventually works. 3) The black backing (the one with the double sided tape) did not work for me if I put it in before the quarter panel. REALLY jam it to the in-board side, but still not enough room. I added it after. More of a fiddling, we'll see if it stays secured. 4) I don't think it was clear (to me!) but you need to return the two part trim. I saved the back, but painted the bottom. I thought the new backing would screw onto it. Unfortunately, without the old backing there was nothing to screw onto. I double side taped it. We'll see how long before I have to sacrifice that back trim! In use it is a GREAT upgrade. Highly recommend getting this product. Keep bringing New Defender upgrades, PowerfulUk!!

Simon, just received a kit and the LEDs included have three leads so you have both white and amber colors available. I’m thinking that I might wire the amber to either the turn signals or the rear fog lights. What do you think of this idea?

This is a great little up grade.
I did have a issue with the stainless steel screws, I found them a touch too long. They pushed the assembly away from the main panel when tightening up.
Cut a couple of mm off the end and was good to go.

Bit of a problem, the clip for the electrical point won't come apart. It's almost as if it is glued together. Pushed the clip in as the video states, pulled, wiggled and tugged and nothing. Got some added leverage with a tool and to no avail, My husband even gave it a go and he said "there is no way was that was coming apart". Now off to the shop to have it looked at. It is either glued together or corroded, there is white "gunk" all around the electrical fitting, any idea what it could be. My girl is always garaged, I was very excited to try this project myself yesterday but sadly had to put my girl back together without any new parts fitted. And wasted 2 white clips to boot. 😔

    Hi Simon
When are these Reverse Lights and the New Design Rear Bumper Protector Coming?
Are the Boot Interior Lights the same as the door welcome lights?
Just looking for 2 BRIGHT boot lights.
Also on the reverse lights - if you are struggling to get the lights - have a look at Denali Dual Mount Flush Back Up Lights... maybe you could do a kit with them?
They are more expensive - but look it too.
Question on the fitting of theses reverse lights - why did you need to remove the plastic under the light - where you mount these? is there not enough room to get the connector out with it still there?
Many Thanks - Your Defender still in with issues on the locks?
    Keep up the good work...

    • @L663
      @L663  3 роки тому

Hi Simon - we are getting the lights back in stock soon and we are redesigning the mount as well.
