❤❤❤ I have never seen so much energy from a Bass player Paul Martin and Kenny on guitar. The harmony voices are priceless! My go to performance when I need an inspiration. Thanks to UTube for this!
Great performance. I will always be a fan of Marty, but will always know my Daddy could sing this better. Thank you for the tender sweet memories Music City Roots! R.I.P. H.Frank Manning, Sr. (09/06/1932-08/26/13) Love and Miss you so much...
OML This fellow plays his drum sort of like the Auld Scots did! What a set of pipes! (He would be a natural on bagpipes ~ truly ~ except he’d probably want to be playing drums.) And the fellow walking back and and forth? All amazing players. I heard Bill Monroe and BLUEGRASS for the first time in 1971 or 1972 at a Smithsonian Folk Festival concert @ the Lincoln Memorial. I was total blown AWAY! This is fine, truly fine! Thanks for posting this wonderful video!
I don't care who has a negative comment about these guys because they Rock this song. I like Marty Stuart he's great. Cousin Kenny is awesome player and Handsome Harry has a great voice. Last but not least, that bass player was great to. Love this version better.than any other. Tyfs, God bless you
Thanks for this! :D I saw you Marty at the local fair here in Lake City, Florida a few years back and ask you if you would do a gospel album and you said you were working on that! Got your autograph too! It was a very cold drizzly evening that year. Wonder if you remember me. I told you, you were very good looking and you replied that I was too. ;) You sure made me feel good even-tho my back was killing me and I was freezing. lol
like this version as well as Elvis' but still my fav version is by John Fogerty on his LP he put out after CCR went bust and Harry you are making me turn Blue waiting for you to start singing love his drumming and his voice
I agree. Fogerty's version has long been my favorite. That album he did after the CCR break-up was The Blue Ridge Rangers, from around 1972-3 or so. He played every instrument on that LP of old country songs. This version of Stuart and company is awesome too.

Ultra professionnal ; better is not possible AMHA ; mervellous.
Yes, so tight. Four professionals who rehearse a lot, perform a lot, and clearly love doing it!
When a performance leaves you wanting to cuss because it's so good but reminds you to work 8n cleaner context!
Wow! Whooooo we! Yeah!

It just don’t get much better than that!

Had I been in audience, wouldn't have taken me long to be up outta my seat and doing some Jed Clampitt clogging!

COUSIN KENNY what a COOL GUY perfect
Might a university or conservatory grant Marty an honorary Bachelor of Music degree? He’s earned it for sure.
listen to Seldom Scene do this song on their 15th anniversary album. John Duffey kills it.
try searching for. Matt Raybon with T. Grahmn Brown Jimmy Fortune and Trace Atkins.
Nice job by a fantastic band. Also check out Tim O'Brien's version.

What about Forrest Pellfrey om Jalyn Records?
I have never heard such a toneless guitar unplug that beauty🤦🏼♂️
...Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: And that he was seen... 1 Corinthians 15:3-5
Love to be in this band, but that ain't happening..
Makes me want to break social distancing ultimatums and go to church.
It stars at 1 minute.
This band can do no wrong. Just stinks that I can never see them! Not a lot of Detroit shows!
Great playing, as always, but a good ol' Dreadnought Martin should never sound like that...
I’m sorry, Roger, I don’t understand. I think Cousin Kenny sounds awesome.
So whatever IS he doing walking back and forth?
We saw this fellow at Renfro Valley Kentucky and he didn't impress me - he sure can't sing and he should quit trying
This cover is not good.
Marty cannot sing and he should give it up
Oh, wow....get your EARS fixed !
Bull hockey, son ole Marty can get it! Don’t you ever forget that:)
