I remember my parents watching the news and this would play, I loved it then as a small child, i never forgot it as i grew up, but i didnt know the name and there were no words to search, I finally found it in my 40's and i was brought to tears, some happy and some sad, but i still love this song!!!
That's precisely my experience with this same song. Still have no idea why this beautiful melody would play over the credits of an evening news telecast. But I'm sure glad it did!
