    Got my new Timberline XL aboit 2 months ago now. "Jihawg" has been working like an utter champ. That being said, I'm in the hill country in Texas so you know its been getting used a lot lol.

    Great vid thanks...it does like like a more intense cleaning than a regular Traeger but the timberline is like a Mercedes of grills.

    Been waiting for the Father’s Day sale to pull the trigger on the new ironwood XL. They only put the old ironwood on sale though. I thought the easy clean would be a little easier than this to be honest. I’m coming from a pro 575. Do you think the new style ironwood is worth the extra $700 vs the old style?

      Oh I don’t know! I absolutely love my OG ironwood

      @@triple6grill284 I’m kinda looking at the old school timberline 850 too. It’s on sale for $1399. It’s fully double wall insulated like the new ironwood also, so I just gotta decide if the design is worth it to me. Comes down to the screen, cleaning system, and bigger table on the side. I guess the racks are probably nicer on the new style also though

      @@aviationtech89 the old school Timbo is amazing also!! The only reason I love the og ironwoods is they’re easier to clean imo than all the newer style and even older style timberlines

    Still liking the grill? I'm debating buying one this week. Some of the issues I'm reading about, plus big temp swings have me nervous. Have you experienced any of that or has your grill been pretty good? Current Timberline 850 owner who needs more grill space! Lol

    • @triple6grill284
      @triple6grill284  Рік тому

      I do love mine!!! I am very fortunate to have not had to deal with temp swing issues. Mine is one of the ones that has been dialed in from first purchase! I love this thing still ;)

      @triple6grill284 Thanks for the response! Do you find at higher temps the food comes out smokey? My older timberline burns clean above 350 so I can use it like an outdoor oven. My concern with the XL is that it puts off too much smoke at those temps which might throw off things like pies or something that you don't want to take on a smoke flavour. What's been your experience?

    • @triple6grill284
      @triple6grill284  Рік тому +1

      @@skidoomxz550x it definitely produces more smoke; no joke! But I’ve done some baking at 350 and above and it is subtle. It’s not crazy overpowering. My fam still loves and uses it for baking.

      Hey! This was a weekend of briskets and pork bellies. I ran it Friday overnight with 3 briskets, then again Saturday night 3 briskets and then Sunday a small portion of pork belly for my family. Than did this video the Monday evening after work.

      I used three bottles of grill cleaner and then I gently hosed everything out, mine was a bit dirtier than the one in video. I made sure everything was 100% dry and the grill was unplugged the whole time. I did a test fire just to make sure everything was fine and it was. I need to just start doing a major clean out once a year, I kicked the can down the road too many times and it almost cost me a really good pork butt!@@triple6grill284
