Cleaning Crystals with TWO ACIDS?! If you can’t make up your mind | Rufus Morgan Falls Rock Cleaning

MURIATIC ACID DIRECTIONS:
1. Prepare Solution: Mix one part muriatic acid with one parts water in the plastic container. Always add acid to water, not the other way around.
2. Submerge Crystals: Soak for 1 hour.
3. Rinse & Neutralize: Remove & soak in a baking soda solution (one tablespoon of baking soda per cup of water) for a few minutes to neutralize any remaining acid.
OXALIC ACID DIRECTIONS:
1. Mix the Solution: In a crock pot, mix 2 tbs of oxalic acid with water.
2. Submerge the Crystals.
Soak the Crystals: Allow the crystals to soak in the solution for 4 hours on high.
3. Rinse Thoroughly: Once the crystals appear clean, let cool to room temperature. Remove them from the solution using plastic tongs. Place in bucket of water to neutralize.
4. Dispose: Neutralize the leftover oxalic (and muriatic) acid solutions with baking soda before disposing of it according to local regulations.
