Pretty sure people complaining about losing the community support award are just memeing because thats how the Fortnite crowd talked everytime they lost to XIV. No one really cares afaik.
Meh, I was a little surprised, but I don’t really care that much. I know how good the community support is in this game, It doesn’t really matter to me whether or not there is an award to affirm it this year :>
Man I don't care we didn't win community support. I'm just glad that destiny 2 didn't win cause they deserved it even less considering that game is infamous for bungie never listening to their fans. Also FFXIV won an award last year. So I couldn't care if it lost this time, you don't need more than one trophy in my opinion.
T-T I'm a bisexual woman who plays a male Au Ra for the same reason that many straight men play a catgirl. Because I think he's hot. I made my dream husbando and I was unaware of their reputation in the wider community because I'm not on social media.
I always thought the stereotype was female au ras are always actually dudes, and male au ras are always actually chicks I guess someone wanted a race to be the cupcake enjoyer race, but no one wanted to say it was lalas 'cause they already get enough shit about cupcake enjoyment
it's funny cuz when i started replaying i made 2 characters and was planning on swapping between the two. a female lala because I AM CHAOS. and a male Au ra because i like the way they look and i thought it would be funny to have a buff tough looking guy that only does magic. while my Lala tanks away.. but after seeing that stereotype i was like ehhhhhhhhhh so now i mainly play male Viera (wich was my first choice but i hadn't gotten the dlc yet so i had to pick something else) my male Au ra does still exist but for now i'm just unmotivated to continue due to the bad rep
The kind of people who see themselves as male Au Ra are also ... incredibly awful people. And the one male au ra we see in MSQ is not a good example either. At least post-endwalker gave us a better example of what they COULD be, and I wish they were. And then theres the one other NPC who is uh, "preferred the little boy" sssoooooooo
I mean, everyone assumes I am a flaming homosexual because I'm a Hrothgar. I didn't ask for this. I didn't want to send this message to run free out in the world without my consent. I mean they're right though, but shit dude.
Haha, I don't know why that race got that stigma. We have a hrothgar in my FC that is straight as can be and it creeps him out when other hrathgars DM him... things. It doesn't help that when he got married in game the chick switched to a male viera for it just for the meme.
@@Nempo13 the furry community has a strong, strong strain of bara fandom, more or less. Pretty Much Thundercats fits neatly into that. oddly enough though? These days I see more straight hrothgar than gay and my hrothgar doesn't actually get a lot of tells of that sort.
As someone whos... attempted to ... RP with Male au ras. its earned. Also I will sadly admit I also fit most of the Fem ra RPer stereotypes and the Balmung player stereotypes (except hanging out in the Quicksands. I only do that when I have friends also AFKing there.)
Was a male lala for a year, was hilarious the situations I found myself in. I recently swapped to male miqo. The number of comms I get regularly jumped by a LOT surprisingly. Apparently being a chill cat guy is seen as nice. Also, the male cats look good in a suit.
I used to main Male Au-Ra as I really liked their design and their lore, I knew they had a small reputation for being noticeable cross-dressing among players as they have the best hips among the men but never the “cupcake” thing thou. That one threw me for a loop.
There are quite a few FFXIV drama videos where the guy is Male Au Ra, sadly a few bad apples lead to the stereotype. I know awesome, chill Male Au Ra who aren't stalkers, or creepy pervs and have to fight this stereotype because of the other jerks.
The same can be said for any race ingame, it's the player not the race option... This is honestly the first time me hearing about such a thing as I rarely look at community related stuff these days, so it's a bit surprising (and a bit annoying) there is quite a bit negative stereotyping/negative labeling if a player picks a certain race in this game (I've seen this happen in another MMO I played many years ago, but wasn't expecting to see that here).
yep.. i made 2 characters when i played again a female lala and a male Au ra.. now i mostly play Male viera because i couldn't with the stereotype.. (though i did originally want to make a male Viera i just didn't have the dlc at the time)
idk maybe its more of their social circles and all, but all male au ras i know are either 1) played by women 2) played by gays 3) both. that being said, i played at elemental. so theres that. or is it reddit thing?? cause i dont see it like that in art community in twitter n tumblr also using someones fanart of their au ra for that kind of allegation is kinda rude lol
After playing FF14 non-stop for 2.5 years and now when im caught up with everything while having every single job at lvl 90 (LVL80 BLU) and even having farmed +900 frontline pvp wins for all grand company PVP tittles, playing other games still feel like a betrayal, but playing 2.5 years of only 1 game has made my backlog of other games very long!
The shitpost sub is kinda like a mirror for the main sub, a lot of posts are satirical versions of main sub posts and zooming into boobs on fanart posted there
Au Ra's in general are just so pretty I love them so much, but the fact that people have to make these assumptions about a particular race is why i have yet to cosplay my male Au Ra character
Bro being a male Au Ra blows sometimes but other times most people are chill which is fun but damn makes me wanna use a fantasia to be something else but meh idc XD
Nah, don't go into ffxiv drama or drama at all. It's needless and its easy to get heated in a conversation that have no effect on you whatsoever. Plus a lot of these drama videos are often just for views and often do not reflect the actual views of the poster. Just keep doing you Hesken.
3:42 --- I think we can blame the game itself for this... I mean, give me a single male Au Ra that is a legid solid character... and like me, you'll come up with none. The only prominent male Au Ra the game offers is "Little Sun" ... and if thats the standard... things are bad XD Loved the last one XD
@@Rukdug Ahewan didnt really get any screentime (sadly :( ) and Sidurgu is bound to the Dark Knight quests. I play DRK so yeah, I know him... but no, he didnt really leave an impression on me as a fleshed out character. Frey was way more interesting and he wasnt even real o.O
Make male lala, dress in suits, be chill, calm, and friendly, confuse the crap out of everyone, ??? profit. I have more than a few screenshots of random people who walked up and sat with me on benches or beside me while I was fishing somewhere. Just chatting nice and chill. Hell I walked around Ul'Dah once in an Ul'Dahn suit look with 6 miqo girls in dancer silks randomly following me. I didn't know any of them prior to it, most of them didn't know each other either. It just organically HAPPENED. Some FC mates saw me and the conversation went something like this; "Uh, why do you have a bunch of dancer girls following you?" "I dunno, they found me and adopted me?" "... why does this shit always happen to you?" "Good questions, anyway can I keep them?" " " So yeah those 6 people all became friends I chat with randomly and run stuff with now lol. None of them were dudes, shockingly. I lost money on that bet cause I assumed at least half of them were dudes.
@@Nempo13 Yeah but see everyone behind the screen is laughing to themselves compairing you to the boss baby 😂 Like no other race in the game has this problem (?) You are the cupcake or you are the devil. I dont make the rules 😂
I generally stay out of the community itself, specifically so as to avoid drama or savage-tier conversations which aren't relevant to me. But I have to admit.... I'm a WHM main and very much enjoy being a WHM main. On the rare occasion I'm playing a tank and the healer casts Cure 1 on me, I just kinda.... wince.
1:23 psst that isn't queue time, that's the time left for the duty, the joke is that someone got Thornmarch Extreme for Mentor Rolo at 3 am when they were probs hoping for something quick..
As a guy who has played a male Au Ra since Heavenswards, getting called a "cupcake" or gro0mers has happened a few time. Most recently it was from a Lalafell, so had an easy time getting him to shut up when reminding him there is a mogstation chair for him. It's also people like that have more or less kept me as the silent protag most of the time doing content. At least people get a bow after final boss and I disappear All the doomscrolling about the game being dead is mostly from players who came into ff14 off of the Asmon/late Shadwobringers boom, along with Shadowlands having totally shit the bed at that point that people decided to try other mmos out. Us old timers know how .5 to next expo goes.
As for the dead game posts, it seems like a lot of folks who came over during the streamer boom are on the new NA data center that they added and that's also the largest population that has quit playing. If you are having really long queue times, switch over to Crystal or Aether. I'm on Aether and have been since I started the game 8 years ago and since we're all largely vets, I have barely noticed a dip. The player numbers are pretty much back where they were before the game exploded. Yeah, there were more during the boom, but queue times are still largely normal AKA 15 -20 min max if you're playing super early in the morning. If you don't want to pay for data center transfer, then just data center travel here or to Crystal. Most of the vets are still here. I recommend Aether bc our RP scene is fairly self-contained and you won't get creepy DMs unless you are specifically at an RP event. Or at least I never have in 8 years of playing and cycling through every race in that time.
re: "dead game posts" - You do have a valid point there, in my opinion. The population tripled during the Asmongold wave in Shadowbringers. What this means is the "old" FFXIV community is a minority and much of the "newer" community are used to blasting through numerous expansions (ARR, HW, SB, ShB, EW) non-stop. The actual fact is, for most of these newer players (within the last 2-3 years), Endwalker is their very FIRST "current" expansion and first experience of FFXIV's patch to next-expansion cycles. For us old veterans, it's old hat routine and we know to pause subscription and go play our other games until next patch or expansion. Meanwhile, all the newer players are like, "omg there's no content! I will (publicly) announce I am quitting FFXIV" because they are still only accustomed to "rush-to-endgame" mono-gaming type playstyle and endless grinds and all they know is if a game doesn't make you log in every day, it's declared "dead" and they have to "quit". smh Still brainwashed, apparently, and clueless that this is how it is between EVERY FFXIV expansion for years and they don't know what to do with themselves unless a game tells them what to do with their time. 🤣 Go play other games, y'all! Currently trying out GW2, LoTRO and Dungeons & Dragons Online (DDO) until next patch/MSQ update.
Yeah it’s everywhere anyway tbh. WoW is a dead game FF is a dead game OW is a dead game ESO is a dead game bladiblah 🤷🏻♀️ some people just want to be doomsayers but have no doom to say
Queue times are only long for DPS players outside of Dynamis as you mentioned. The problem with Dynamis is a result of a) self-feeding cycle, which is also a problem with NA Party finder for Savage b) the server was primarily made up of alts, particularly people wanting to make NPC characters. I myself have an exceptionally ... obscure NPC alt on Dynamis that I, like the 25,000 G'raha Tia cosplayers, never actually played.
Bad people play every race and every job, play whatever you want. Anyone who judges you based on your race or job is a loser who isn't worth your time.
Look, as an Au Ra male player, I can honestly say that I do not have much feeling for children more than most. The only time I ever wanted a child was that young Mi'qote girl in 5.2 or 5.3 who looked so adorable that I wished you could adopt NPC kids.
I've played as a male au'ra since the post-patch MSQ Stormblood to Shadowbringers and still playing FFXIV now. And I have never gotten this interaction once. Not even on accident. Frankly, I think some of you hang around the weirdos too much.
new player here, i picked male Au Ra because i like characters with horns they always look cooler to me i didn't even know what kind of reputation the male Au Ra's had since i didn't do a research about it i just wanted to be a cool tall pretty boy with horns
Omg, I spend so much time on that subreddit. I'm getting second hand embarrassment watching someone react to our shitposting. The sub has like its own culture and its own inside jokes. Most of the titles are either sarcastic or posted ironically. Sometimes we straight up parody posts from the main sub, thats why there's so many text posts. Cuz mainsub gets a lot of text posts. Ooooo boy, um, the male Au Ra meme is based on stuff that really did happen. There were groomers who played as male Au Ra and would sit at the Limsa aetheryte and try to groom catgirl players. It was weird. Also I suppose I should explain GCBTW cuz you will encounter that term getting tossed around. It means Great Community By The Way. Its shorthand for making fun of all the toxic weirdos who are the exception to an otherwise nice community.
i can relate to the meme "I hate everyone else so much more" cause since 2021 on ffxiv I just keep getting into dramas and people being mean and stuff to me at a point where I left ff14 lol and the dudes being like "I like that emote cause very few people have it" is jst stupid, like something you truly do, not based on rarity.. of course one day knowing SE they'd put it in the mogstation lol
IIRC the pizza emote was given as a code if you used door dash or something, which SUCKED because where I live we didn’t have Door dash or Grub hub until around 5 months after the emote was announced, luckily an online buddy gave it to me.
the stereotypes made me hesitate, but ultimately i chose to play a raen au ra and the level of solidarity i feel with the boys is unrivalled. together strong kings.
Bigender woman who plays a male Au Ra here. I play male Au Ra because theyre hot, and they look like tieflings so i could make my DnD character and improve his backstory. I love him so much.. and he's very nice to look at (especially with TBSE for extra muscles)
You'll likely get the mount faster buying the island gamble boxes. I got both mounts that way and a nice glamour head thing. Only drawback is, since most are doing this, just about everything from the island loot boxes is worthless on the marketboard.
Clickded this video because I played an AuRa. Was I not encountering any of the stereotypes because I'm antisocial? Or are they not as prevalent as people think? I played this game like it was single player most of the time, barely interacted with real people. So I'm probably just too introverted to find any of the negative stuff
the eat pizza emote was, i think, ordering 15$ in pizza hut or was it something else? limited to whoever was in the US with access to US side shops that were participating.
Queues not taking this long? Clearly that person never played during ARR launch. Not only the servers were empty, we had no Duty Finder. We stood in front of the dungeon shouting LFP. Not to mention we also had server merger due to low density of players. People seems to have forgotten that.
The wild thing about that 9/11 meme is that I made the dumbest joke earlier. I think it was about the goblins crashing into the Twin Towers. I regret nothing, enjoy that thought in your head
It's literally just because male Au'ra are tall af, and female Au'ra are as short or shorter than mi'qote. Au'ri couples look like a 30 year old man got with a 16 year old
Me picking my male au ra guy because I have a weakness for little waists and horns. 😆 It's so weird seeing this stereotype since I'm mostly a solo player and all the interactions I had in the game were very wholesome.
Y'know that part of being hated on because of the race you play is true for all races. I like catgirls, and I like playing as them, but I can't walk around anywhere without someone calling me generic, or immediately assuming I am a guy. Its painful...
I love queuing extreme trials and coil as a healer in the middle of the night and waiting 3 hours and then hearing half the party complain that they're there muahahahaha Also as a professional white mage (I have at LEAST 1 on every NA server) cure 1 is actually perfectly fine and even NECESSARY sometimes (a lot of times in ARR/HW) when you have a really bad tank...
It's funny how the example of a dead game they used was queing for an Extreme. I've only ever done extremes with randoms if it pops up on mentor roulette, it's so much better to just do those with a premade, hence why that que is so long.
Been playing as a male Au Ra, and 150 hours later, not once have I socialized with anyone, but didn't care all that much (I honestly felt like it's just cause I'm a Free Trial player, I can't send nor receive Say messages or DMs). Never knew this pedo situation was a thing though.
@ 3:27 , stigmas, I play Hrothgar because i thought it was cool. I get what maybe deemed sexual harrasment from furries and non-stright hroth players who just assume because i'm playing one that i'm one of them. Especially during this "content drought" where they have nothing else to do. So i don't log on a much lately, and feel for any AU Ra players who just liked the character and may have to deal with sh!t.
Literally never had to deal with it as a male au ra player since 2017, this was the first i heard of the different stereotypes. Im in eu so maybe theres a regional difference but who knows. Its a pretty common character choice here so you cant really pinpoint ppl so much, unlike hroth, i feel bad you have to deal with it
"What's more worth it?" Well, I was stupidly lucky with Island Containers myself, I'm like a month into the island containers, getting as many as I can. I've gotten 2 adenium whistles and 2 peerifool whistles. Kept 1 of each for me and sold the duplicates! :3
lol to the guy upset over the pizza emote no longer being rare. I got it from the previous event, have had my fun, and absolutely fine people get to enjoy it. Heck, I'm happy for a friend who wanted it for an alt he enjoys playing on another server cause its one of his favorites (but now he super wants the chicken one lmfao hopefully that comes to the shop someday).
I must be odd? I'm a straight white guy whose been playing a male au'ra since Stormblood, and never once has any of this been an issue in game. I play the race because it doesn't have angry hands like male mi'qote, doesn't trot like hume and roedagyn, and I can't see lalafells (even though they have the best casting animations).
I spend like 9/10s of my time in Endwalker doing RP or just piling up gil. This might sound bad, but I spent 9/10s of my time doing RP and piling up gil in the other expansions, too. I don't care.
I am so glad i stopped playing my Male Au Ra way before this around the middle of 5.2ish. (it was because my FC fell apart, and i decided to start over all, so i made a Male Hyur and now I am in a not that active FC bit when it is active its very chill.)
Wait, hold on. Male Au Ra have a stigma for enjoying "cupcakes"? The hell is this? Why am i just now learning this? See this is why i keep to myself and my circles of friends, i just wanna play blue totally not dragon man, i dont need all this extra drama.
I don't hang out enough on social media I think. I did hear male au ra being toxic stereotype but other than that it was usually male au ra is for gay rpg/orgy :') Never heard of the grooming thing before and yes, did main male au ra till male viera came out. Now I have a lot of au ra alts (I love their look) and male viera on main. That said hearing stereotypes like this just makes me wanna play a race on principle cause no one is gonna tell me who or what I am in a darn video game xD
wth I never knew male aura had a bad rep and that's so sad because I love them. My main is a fem Au Ri, and my main alt is a male Au Ra cause they're just the hottest dudes (depending on which face preset) i didn't know they had that weird ass rep
Brother as a male au'ra enjoyer i literally had to FANTA to get rid of the stupid ass "Oh you are playing a groomer" bullshit , like let me enjoy my tall and lanky ass leezord man , _ ,
Damn, no wonder someone suddenly called me a pedo out of nowhere when I was playing on NA server 2 years ago lol always played as male au ra since I started the game on HW release😆
@3:30 THIS IS ME RN 😭 I HAD NO IDEA AU RA MALES HAD THIS KIND OF REPUTATION 😭😭 My boy is no groomer,,,,but he is a stupid beefbrain so i guess /that's/ absolutely on point lskhf
Maybe I’m just too stupid, but how can you move the two actions which only appear in some activities like Island/V&C Dungeons/Bozja. I thought I tried everything. In your Island Sanctuary HUD it’s moved to the middle.
Maybe its because I play on Adamantoise but as a malera player I haven't dealt with people calling me 'that'. But also I'm a Free Trial Player/Solo Player, barely know the chat mechanics, and spend 99% of my time leveling DOH. The most gripe I've ever gotten was being a malera Dragoon who kept getting killed. I do gotta agree with the long wait times though, it was impossible trying to get into Coil of Bahamut the other day!
Coil is not part of roulettes is why. I have unsynced people through coils many times though. Randos asking if anyone is willing to do it? Sure no problem, it doesn't take long and lets people see a PIVITOL bit of story. The story of coils is pretty big for the twins and explains a lot of their actions after that point, including why Alisaie is so enamored of the WoL. Canonically she has a crush on the WoL regardless of your gender, both Y'shtola and Krile poke at her for it. Alisaie had no real power at that time period, seeing the WoL in action is what pushed her to get stronger in the first place.
bet the person who said about male au'ras is maybe a highlander male that gets rejected in the quicksands of balmung. and got mad that they didn't get there erp for 5 seconds. and saw a male aura getting somethin. Lmao wouldn't be shocked if it was because of that. but honestly. people just need to let people enjoy what they play as a race in xiv. au'ras are just cool lol
The pizza emote thing is very stupid. Basically there was a limited time promo to get the emote from a pizza chain. And now people who have the emote are upset that other people can now buy it, so it isnt as rare. First of all who thats gate keepy, and second of all why does anybody care about this emote. And $7, is over priced for this dumb emote. I am now tempted to buy this dumb emote just to spite the people who are annoying me about it.
Man, I have no idea where the male Au Ra bad rep came from like ??? I don't go into the subreddit and I'm not versed on the drama (which is the way to be I think lmao) and I really am scratching my head about that one. Is it because of some bad...actual people behind the keyboards poisoning the well, so to speak? Or is it trash-tier humor because the females are so much shorter? Because I'd believe either one tbh
i don't know about being child groomers but my characters get hit on the most by Au ra males the most but it is also just a game race and a lot of the chillest people i know also play Au ra.

Some people just wanna be Thundercats
I don’t get the race stereotypes.
Then again, I play male Lala, because I SEEK CHAOS.
I also play as one, but I prefer chill vibes and good times personally.
As someone whos... attempted to ... RP with Male au ras.
its earned.
Also I will sadly admit I also fit most of the Fem ra RPer stereotypes and the Balmung player stereotypes (except hanging out in the Quicksands. I only do that when I have friends also AFKing there.)
@@Nazuiko I just made a fem-ra. What are the stereotypes I should be aware of?
Was a male lala for a year, was hilarious the situations I found myself in. I recently swapped to male miqo. The number of comms I get regularly jumped by a LOT surprisingly. Apparently being a chill cat guy is seen as nice. Also, the male cats look good in a suit.
I used to main Male Au-Ra as I really liked their design and their lore, I knew they had a small reputation for being noticeable cross-dressing among players as they have the best hips among the men but never the “cupcake” thing thou. That one threw me for a loop.
The hips thing is true tho. They make for really underrated femboys
@@sadgirlhours4088 fr fr
@@sadgirlhours4088 that was my original take on them too. but then i saw the stereotype and i made another character being a male Viera bahaha.
@litchtheshinigami8936 😭 I also have a male Viera alt jdjdjdjfnn. I'm never switching from my boy tho he means the world to me I lovevb him.
@@sadgirlhours4088 same, i have a few alt characters that i will play here and there but he will stay my main because i love him too much now
Im a straight woman playing badass dark goth male au ra XD
Same. I made him SO edgy XD
(though i did originally want to make a male Viera i just didn't have the dlc at the time)
idk maybe its more of their social circles and all, but all male au ras i know are either 1) played by women 2) played by gays 3) both. that being said, i played at elemental. so theres that. or is it reddit thing?? cause i dont see it like that in art community in twitter n tumblr
also using someones fanart of their au ra for that kind of allegation is kinda rude lol
"100+ unplayed games on steam" gang represent!
Please continue to not care. The community can straight up be stupid on how they see certain things. Its best to ignore it all.
"you can get a real pizza for that price." W H E R E
true, maybe a small one?
Little Ceasars
One of the cheap ones from a grocery store haha
I'm spoiled with pizza in NYC given a whole pie is nothing short of 25USD hence my surprise LOL
A frozen pizza from the supermarket
It's not that bad
Nah, don't go into ffxiv drama or drama at all. It's needless and its easy to get heated in a conversation that have no effect on you whatsoever. Plus a lot of these drama videos are often just for views and often do not reflect the actual views of the poster. Just keep doing you Hesken.
All you gotta do is walk awaaaaay!
3:42 --- I think we can blame the game itself for this... I mean, give me a single male Au Ra that is a legid solid character... and like me, you'll come up with none. The only prominent male Au Ra the game offers is "Little Sun" ... and if thats the standard... things are bad XD
Loved the last one XD
I haven't played for some time, but only one I'm truly remember, beside “Little Sun”, is dude from Dark Knight job quests.
Ahewann was cool.
Why you gotta do Sidurgu and Ahewan dirty like that?
Then you are yet to meet Sidurgu of the Obsidian Heart
@@Rukdug Ahewan didnt really get any screentime (sadly :( ) and Sidurgu is bound to the Dark Knight quests. I play DRK so yeah, I know him... but no, he didnt really leave an impression on me as a fleshed out character. Frey was way more interesting and he wasnt even real o.O
Playing a Lalafell in this game makes you one of two things - THE Cupcake. Or THE Devil. There is no in-between. We can't just exist and vibe.
Make male lala,
dress in suits,
be chill, calm, and friendly,
confuse the crap out of everyone,
???
Some FC mates saw me and the conversation went something like this;
"Uh, why do you have a bunch of dancer girls following you?"
"I dunno, they found me and adopted me?"
"... why does this shit always happen to you?"
"Good questions, anyway can I keep them?"
" "
So yeah those 6 people all became friends I chat with randomly and run stuff with now lol. None of them were dudes, shockingly. I lost money on that bet cause I assumed at least half of them were dudes.
@@Nempo13 Yeah but see everyone behind the screen is laughing to themselves compairing you to the boss baby 😂
Like no other race in the game has this problem (?) You are the cupcake or you are the devil.
AHHHH
As a guy who has played a male Au Ra since Heavenswards, getting called a "cupcake" or gro0mers has happened a few time. Most recently it was from a Lalafell, so had an easy time getting him to shut up when reminding him there is a mogstation chair for him. It's also people like that have more or less kept me as the silent protag most of the time doing content. At least people get a bow after final boss and I disappear
All the doomscrolling about the game being dead is mostly from players who came into ff14 off of the Asmon/late Shadwobringers boom, along with Shadowlands having totally shit the bed at that point that people decided to try other mmos out.
True I do normally play either late at night or in the morning so that’s my fault haha
re: "dead game posts" - You do have a valid point there, in my opinion.
@@Yamidoragon LOL true. A lot of MMOs are in-between expansions right now.
I hate that the male Au Ra get such a bad wrap because I love them! I think that they look really good and then bad people end up playing as them.
"I play a race because I like it and then suddenly, community-"
*:lights a cigar:* buddy,
All the male Au Ra players I know are pretty cool, chill dudes. Stereotypes are dumb.
Thanks for explaining haha
i can relate to the meme "I hate everyone else so much more" cause since 2021 on ffxiv I just keep getting into dramas and people being mean and stuff to me at a point where I left ff14 lol
and the dudes being like "I like that emote cause very few people have it" is jst stupid, like something you truly do, not based on rarity.. of course one day knowing SE they'd put it in the mogstation lol
Wait why are they being called cupcakes? what did cupcakes do to deserve such an association?
Look into the EDP445 situation haha
@@heskensol im vaguely aware of the situation with that guy. Totally forgot the cupcake stuff. What a shame. :(
IIRC the pizza emote was given as a code if you used door dash or something, which SUCKED because where I live we didn’t have Door dash or Grub hub until around 5 months after the emote was announced, luckily an online buddy gave it to me.
the stereotypes made me hesitate, but ultimately i chose to play a raen au ra and the level of solidarity i feel with the boys is unrivalled. together strong kings.
Bigender woman who plays a male Au Ra here. I play male Au Ra because theyre hot, and they look like tieflings so i could make my DnD character and improve his backstory.
I love him so much.. and he's very nice to look at (especially with TBSE for extra muscles)
Ngl I chose to play as a male Au Ra because I thought they looked hot and tbh I've never heard of the groomer stigma. Where'd it come from?
Wait... does male Au Ra have a bad rep? In RP all of my female characters only date male Au Ras. I say, male Au Ras for the win! ❤
I wonder if the ones complaining about the ques taking forever aren't used to queing as dps, or maybe they're on the smaller data centers?
What's that song you play at the end of the video? it's so familiar but I can't quite place it.
that castle crashers theme sent me back
It's literally just because male Au'ra are tall af, and female Au'ra are as short or shorter than mi'qote. Au'ri couples look like a 30 year old man got with a 16 year old
Yeah I thought that was were the joke came from, the massive difference in height.
I thought most cupcake lovers played as lalafell. If you think too hard about this stuff it will just give you a headache.
I always check party finder and ask FC before even thinking about joining queues
I am a tank main....what is a que time?
Heh. Seriously do roulettes with a tank when you can. Instant pop ftw.
that Castle Crashers ost bringing back so many memories with me xD
Love that game, never beat it lol
I beat it once, but after spending so many hours power leveling + DLC items, so not a legit win @@heskensol
Holyshit no wonder that hit me! I completely forgot about that game!
Those EDP references landed for me. lmao
I started the Pandaemonium raids quests last week, and the queue took literally 1h25.... For an Endwalker raid.... ON A FRIDAY EVENING.... HELLO?
Unrelated but the background music soudns so familiar and i can't place it where did i heard it and It's eating me alive. send help
I love how people were shaming and making fun of fortnite players for saying the same stuff about the game awards and yet... here we are
I love queuing extreme trials and coil as a healer in the middle of the night and waiting 3 hours and then hearing half the party complain that they're there muahahahaha
Also as a professional white mage (I have at LEAST 1 on every NA server) cure 1 is actually perfectly fine and even NECESSARY sometimes (a lot of times in ARR/HW) when you have a really bad tank...
Unless youre somehow running out of MP you dont need cure 1 now that its cast time is identitical to cure 2.
It's funny how the example of a dead game they used was queing for an Extreme. I've only ever done extremes with randoms if it pops up on mentor roulette, it's so much better to just do those with a premade, hence why that que is so long.
Good god I forgot about that grub hub fiasco.
Its a pretty common character choice here so you cant really pinpoint ppl so much, unlike hroth, i feel bad you have to deal with it
"What's more worth it?"
Well, I was stupidly lucky with Island Containers myself, I'm like a month into the island containers, getting as many as I can.
I've gotten 2 adenium whistles and 2 peerifool whistles.
Kept 1 of each for me and sold the duplicates! :3
Nobody whos doing ex7, uses duty finder.
you are if you're in JP
lol to the guy upset over the pizza emote no longer being rare.
The horsefondant and the Raubhan shitposts are the best ones from that community
I'm a straight man who plays a Viera! I just wanted to embody my chinese zodiac
I am so glad i stopped playing my Male Au Ra way before this around the middle of 5.2ish. (it was because my FC fell apart, and i decided to start over all, so i made a Male Hyur and now I am in a not that active FC bit when it is active its very chill.)
Cupcakes...I have never heard that term before...and now I wish I never knew about it, lol.
Wait, hold on. Male Au Ra have a stigma for enjoying "cupcakes"?
The hell is this?
Why am i just now learning this?
See this is why i keep to myself and my circles of friends, i just wanna play blue totally not dragon man, i dont need all this extra drama.
I main a male Au'ra, and no one has ever said anything about this shit, is this rep a out of game thing or something?
I don't hang out enough on social media I think. I did hear male au ra being toxic stereotype but other than that it was usually male au ra is for gay rpg/orgy :') Never heard of the grooming thing before and yes, did main male au ra till male viera came out. Now I have a lot of au ra alts (I love their look) and male viera on main. That said hearing stereotypes like this just makes me wanna play a race on principle cause no one is gonna tell me who or what I am in a darn video game xD
Two videos in one week, I feel spoiled!
I never new this about male au ra, all i knew is that they were edgelords.
All I want is to play my blue tiefling wizard in peace.
wth I never knew male aura had a bad rep and that's so sad because I love them. My main is a fem Au Ri, and my main alt is a male Au Ra cause they're just the hottest dudes (depending on which face preset) i didn't know they had that weird ass rep
is that kingdom rush music?
Brother as a male au'ra enjoyer i literally had to FANTA to get rid of the stupid ass "Oh you are playing a groomer" bullshit , like let me enjoy my tall and lanky ass leezord man , _ ,
my both exbf play as manra, one has depression problem, and one is pervert man. But yes, I still like this race cause of lore and design.
Seen a comment saying most au ra players are chill older women and it’s true
I wasn’t aware of how bad the stereotype until recently last year 😅
Damn, no wonder someone suddenly called me a pedo out of nowhere when I was playing on NA server 2 years ago lol always played as male au ra since I started the game on HW release😆
@3:30 THIS IS ME RN 😭 I HAD NO IDEA AU RA MALES HAD THIS KIND OF REPUTATION 😭😭

The best thing about the shitpostXIV is still the savage comments
Maybe I’m just too stupid, but how can you move the two actions which only appear in some activities like Island/V&C Dungeons/Bozja.
I thought I tried everything.
In your Island Sanctuary HUD it’s moved to the middle.
I just drag it from the top with my mouse like a tab on google, maybe it doesn’t work on controller if you’re playing on that?
Duty Action hotbar.
Though the Sanctuary stuff is also draggable on its own, the Island Sprint/Return might be part of the Duty Action hotbar I think
I got it.
I didn’t clicked on the checkbox “Duty” in the HUD Layout-menu. So I could’t move the Action Hotbar.
Thanks for the help.
I work overnight so on my off days i keep the same schedule. I AM that guy at 3am in a 4hr Q for Mog Extreme lol.
If you ever want fast queues just queue healer on mentor roulette, you'll lose your sanity on the 15th ARR dungeon but hey, fast af queue.
I almost haven’t realized FF XIV won a BAFTA this year. That’s pretty bad*ss
Castle Crashers world map is the soundtrack
I am constantly reminded why reddit should be deleted.
That's because your looking at the wrong posts
Like who cares you make self bored by not playing other games so you call FF14 dead
0:38 min.: I /igore it tbh. Its me to much of a grind. I hate grinding so i dont will do it.
Me before video: Oh no, did something happen?
Me after video: Oh, it's social media related.....(Sigh)
Why would you apply for a extreme..... like no one does that XD PF it all.

uuuhh...just made my bf change race to Male au ra so we can match, i hope the gossip dont get to him as i can certify he does not like cupcake
i don't know about being child groomers but my characters get hit on the most by Au ra males the most but it is also just a game race and a lot of the chillest people i know also play Au ra.
