Lol, I didn't even think of that...Great idea! Thank you and we love taking out the pop up camper, it's just cozy! Thank you for commenting, take care!
If you didn't want to lower the corner of the canopy you could have always undo the corner of the cover and let it hang while it rained. I live in South Florida this looks like at least one camping trip Everytime I go. Lol.
If you put hula hoops in the corners, that helps keep the water from puddling up on the canvas. I used to do that when I used one of those for craft shows and never had the canvas collapse.
Thank you Donald, I appreciate you watching and commenting on the video. I try to make the best of a situation...It was kind of fun when the storm hit. Take care bud!
I've been using these canopies for years in lots of different weather conditions. One thing that helps the rain from blowing in is the light weight screens you can get that just hang from the sides. Work pretty good. Tony would definitely have said it was grim and also would have added that it "is chucking down'. Love the doggos, they're beautiful.
Lol, he definitely would have said "chucking down"! We do have 4 walls for the canopy, but not the screens. That might be a good investment 👌 Thank you for watching and commenting!!
Hey guys new friend here. Wow, what a storm. We have a pop-up as well. Never camped in that much rain but we've had our share of rainy-day camping lol. Still a fun time. Thanks for sharing
Thank you very much...ya it was a pretty good storm! We love taking the pop-up out, gotta do it more this year. Take care and thanks for watching and commenting!
Hey Zilla, yes it was shtf for a minute...lol. Was kinda fun though! We had a fun weekend adventure for sure. I always appreciate you commenting and watching brotha, take care!
Maybe you should buy a socalled 'helping-hand'! That's a extendable pole, that builders use to put plasterboard to the ceiling while nailing it. You can use it to support the middle of the canopy! When that's high enough, you won't collect so much water😊
Honestly, I just didn't think of it...lol. I'm better prepared now. I did a camp in a dog corral a bit ago and when I woke up in the morning the canopy was collapsed from rain. Thought I was going to have to throw it away, the top just wouldn't stay up anymore. BUT, I recently just came up with a fix for it...and now it is rock solid and better then new! Take care!
@@vickersfencellc7575 Not at all, the camper sat in a garage for 20 years before we bought it. No leaks anywhere, it's in great shape! Thank you for commenting and watching. Take care!!
This may be a mean thing to do but I was a extremely curious kid my parents had a pop up camper they told me not to touch the canvass it would cause a leak so when it started to rain one night you kn ow what I did I touched the canvas I tried it again and again no leak I think they lied to m e for a joke my parents had a sense of humor especially my dad he could tell you a made up tale and keep a straight face I loved him I learned how to do 8t and played many tricks on people just fun things they raised me right

Thanks for watching, I really hope you enjoy the video ❤
What a rain storm! If you lower one of the poles, the rain will drain off. Cute doggies! I miss the popup camping days!

@@KatinaBingaman Thanks, that's another great tip to remember. Sounds so simple now that people have mentioned solutions...lol.

That sounds like a great idea too, I may try that. Thank you!!
Oh gosh.. you had me laughing through your ordeal😅what a trooper you were!
Thank you, it was a little stressful....but fun at the same time...I wish I would get more storms while camping!
Nice set up. Great view of the mountain. Love the fur babies and I'm going to try that Sausage and gravy dish,it looks easy.
Thanks, yes it's pretty easy and it tastes FANTASTIC! the dogs say thank you 🙂 Thanks for watching and commenting!
I appreciate your good humor during such an event

I hiked Hawk Mountain in the past. Thanks for the memories Dude.
Sure thing bud, I appreciate that. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Hawk mountain. Nice. I've went there before as a kid. Not far from where we live. Pretty awesome!!
I live about 10 minutes away from this campsite, it is a beautiful spot!

Pool noodles in corners of the canopy
LMAO...The shit hit the fan. Enjoyed your video bro. Got it all, wife, fur babies and good food. Holy somoly!!
Oh yeah, almost forgot...😂plenty rain.

@richardbas2948 That's a great idea, thank you bud!
Incredible ! I have the almost identical set up right down to the Colman stove. Only I have an old Black Lab and an American Collie
That's awesome bud, Thank you for watching and commenting! Take care.
Beautiful campsite! This was also a good ad for that canopy. 😂
It was a great campsite! We had a great time there. Thank you so much for watching and commenting!
Put a large straight stick in center of the canopy to prop it up higher than the sides and water will run off.
Very entertaining video. Nice hardy brunch. Love your doggies.
Thank you very much, we really appreciate it! That was a nice brunch! Thanks for watching and commenting, take care.
Come to Florida and see what a REAL downpour is like 😊
I hear ya, I lived in Louisiana for 4 years when I was in the Military. Had some major storms there too!
How come you didn't put the chairs in the back of the truck. And it will help if you lower one end of the poles.
Honestly, I just didn't think of it...lol. I'm better prepared now. I did a camp in a dog corral a bit ago and when I woke up in the morning the canopy was collapsed from rain. Best real vídeo camper
Thank you very much!!
How did the pop-up handle all the rain any leaks?
@@darlenedougherty9927 No leaks at all, this camper is old....but in very good condition! Thank you for commenting and watching!
"We're" not cooking anything. She is doing the cooking. You're doing the talking & recording. 😂
Did the camper leak where the beds are

With all that rain did your pop up leak at all
Nope, not at all!
Put it down in a 45° angle on one side
I agree! As I said, drop two legs of the canopy! 😊
I would have dropped two legs of the canopy and the awning of the camper completely! Then go in and hope for the best!
Ya, that would've been a good idea also!
You give your dogs egg shells?
Yes, sometimes. But, I would recommend boiling them first to avoid possible Salmonella. But we haven't had any problems.

Lower your pole down on one side
I will definitely try to remember to do that next time, thanks for the tip!
I got a pop-up camper when a storm come up lower the canopy pole down so water run off. So remember lower one side down.
Will do, seems obvious now that people have mentioned it. But at the time, the thought never crossed my mind...lol!
Are tropical corner corner
just lower one side!
Thank you, that would have worked also.
Looks like good deer 🦌 hunting area
Probably would be, that was private property though.
