Touching on Zelensky... He is in hard place when it comes to the GQP/MAGA faction. In order to protect his people and the country, he bit the inside of his cheek and met with Trump. To tick off the "GOP" just prior to the election could prove disastrous. Remember the saying... an elephant never forgets. Biden and Harris understood why Zelensky needed to agree to the meeting. It was a most unpleasant situation but the wiser choice, for the highest good, of an unknown future.

As a resident of NY I’m not pleased with the Mayor of NYC. The Mayor is arrogant and the type of person who will dig his heels in if told to go. I believe there is a lot of manuevering to let Adams know you will have no support from the Democrats.

I live in Brooklyn. Adams was elected in the thick of the pandemic. People thought having a strong on crime Black mayor would set things right in a city that was exploding not only in crime but there were war zone level illegal fireworks being set off the entire summer long. Adams started out first as a cop. He ran for Brooklyn Borough President on that same stance. That he was all law and order and because he was Black, the liberal white people thought he would be fair and not along the lines of mayors like Giuliani who ran the city like a police state. In short, Adams does love cops but not for them to have good relationships with their communities, no. During protests of BLM - which I often was a part of - I saw police officers of every color, gender, creed, brutalize peaceful protests under Adam’s watch. The police would stand on opposite sides of the protesters and start pushing them into each other - trying to start a riot to justify arrests. That’s the tip of the iceberg with Adam’s. I was at a town hall with him and asked what he would do about the massive war zone illegal fireworks. He just smiled and said, “aw, it’s just kids wanting to have fun - you should just talk to them,”

My block is mixed with both middle class families and section 8 housing. There are more than one instances where bullets are heard out my bedroom window. When you add massive illegal fireworks to that you have no clue if you’re hearing fireworks or guns.
So Adams saying “aw, they’re just kids,” was completely tone deaf to the huge threat those fireworks were (and are).
Telling me - a 115 pound white girl - to just go “talk” to gangs on the block was insanity.
He turned the city into a police state, the police are there to brutalize you but god forbid you call 911 from my neighborhood, guess what? No police ever come.
That has been my experience.

Cuomo would probably be a good choice to straighten NYC out because the city has really deteriorated under the present regime. I think the people will give Cuomo a pass also because of this. I saw the news conference with DJT and Zelensky. Zelensky looked very uncomfortable, and DJT acted very awkward. It made me feel uncomfortable. There is definitely no love loss there. What I don't understand with this issue is that even in a corporate setting, the CEO or CFO does not personally take care of their own corporate travels, let alone a Mayor. The question is, why is the mayor taking care of his own travel arrangements? It doesn't smell right to me.
