    What if it has a crack, do I need a resin and hardener to cure it again? Do you know whats the ration for those? Thanks. Good work btw

      @BisforBoost  3 роки тому

      Correct, but resin is done by weight. The can will say, so you will need a scale.

    Hello! First of all, awesome video, super informative!, I know this video was uploaded like 4 years ago but hope you can help me, my hood has a very very small crack on the clear coat like a half of an inch size or smaller (also it's faded) so I going to try to restore it.
    My question is, any recommendations about the crack, I saw a couple of videos where they use epoxic resin on the cracks..but I'm not experienced using it.
    Do you think that the sand it process and reclear will fill the tiny crack?
    Thanks!! Regards from Zapopan México !

    Question?? My carbon fiber hood isnt thst bad, but I can begin to see that foggy effect on the hood, I use wet sand at 3000 sand, but how many times should i sand it?? And when ur done with the clear coat? I have to resand the clear coat as well?? Help please??

    • @BisforBoost
      @BisforBoost  5 років тому +1

      you dont need to wet sand it with 3000. Sand it with 600 on a da and reclear it. No need to do anything else

    Gonna try this on some diffusers we made very poorly last year. I am worried there is too much peeling and delamination for it to look decent. Surely it will look better than it does now though.

    I'm refinishing my 95 neon carbon hood. It had decent sized cracks in it which I fixed with resin. I sanded quite a bit and it feels smooth to the touch and looks smooth but when I put water on it I can see small cloudy spots here and there. Do I need to sand more in those areas? I'd hate to clear it and have to sand it all back off again.

Is that a process of slight U grooving out the cracks so resin can get in there or should you sand them down till the disappear and try not to get down to the fiber? Or would you just make it smooth again and re-skin over top of it?
