Got to love that whine!
👀👀👀🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 my ppg is being instllaed cant wait
Sounds like a Jet holy crap
Incredible.
🔥🔥🔥
Did you have to use the Dakota box to get the VSS work with the PPG gears?
Nice build! We have similar power numbers but I'm supercharged. I'm at 450whp/356wtq @ 18psi
What supercharged kit do you have
@@turbosteve6359 MercRacing 1900 kit. Power numbers now are 462whp/360wtq

I need to make a video of mine!
Hi nice car. How much whp and psi does this has?
What 5th gear are you using?
Hey bro I have a question, so I have a 2018 Civic Si and I'm going to be getting a PPG 1-4 gearset, I heard the PPG kit messes up the speedometer. I wanted to ask if the same was for you? Cause I noticed you have the Dakota Digital unit so I was wondering if you used that to correct your speedo and how you were able to wire it up?
It will not read correctly with the new gears. Switching the speedo to kmh will get you close in terms of MPH. If you want to actually correct the speedo you'll need a Dakota SGI-100BT and follow their setup procedure via the Dakota Digital Accessories app. It's actual quite simple. If you need help, feel free to reach out.
@@ThatHondaChannel Hi, yes I'm trying to use the SGI-100BT but I'm running into 2 issues:
1. Which wire I need to tap into
2. What the settings are for recieved and changing the signal. I do not know what it means by the different types of outputs and frequencies. I'm hoping that since both applications are Hondas they will be fairly similar.
@@ijpunzalan 1. you'll need to split your VSS signal into 2 wires. Coming 'FROM' the VSS becomes the 'input' to the Dakota. 'output' off the Dakota is going back to the ECU or VSS depending on where you do your connection.
2. Use Dakota app, GPS is used to calibrate the offset required to get your speedo reading correctly. It's as simple as hitting +/- on the app while driving

@@ThatHondaChannel Thanks man, I just need to figure out which the signal wire is. Cause I have a 10th gen not a 9th gen.
Do you know how the app has settings for the speed calibration? Do you know what your settings are so I can clock it in correctly?
10th gen here
What tires u got?? No spinning with 450🤔
It's not the tires that are helping with traction. It's the gearset and boost by gear. 1st=50mph(6psi) 2nd=81mph(9psi) 3rd=117mph(12-14psi) 4th=148mph(12-14psi)
@@ThatHondaChannel what about 5th and 6th how fast does that take you?
What kind of gear oil are you using on them?
PPG recommends Motul gear oil, same goes for Wavetrac
@@ThatHondaChannel I have redline light weight shock proof
dog engagement?
Does the trans need rebuild every a thousand miles?
No, Ive put 8k mile on the trans. We upgrade them so we don't keep breaking them, I've been through 3 factory geared trans in a period of 8 months
@@ThatHondaChannel so new trans way better than factory?
@@that-pixel_guy7636 yes upgrade to ppg to make big power and not have to worry about it breaking
What's the highest mph have you got it up?
Highest mph at the track was 160mph with more to go.
@@ThatHondaChannelI hope you max it out and lmk the top end.
@@jerryyang7781 if I ever do, I most certainly will. Thanks for the support 💪
helical or straight cut? their helical is the only one worth the money. 'guess it aint no stock trans anymore, tight build.. oh i see its straight, well u got a warranty and hope it works out well since it wont be near the max at all.
Straight cut have been working fine. The axial load at the current power isn't strong enough to rip the trans case apart. Currently going under going a full build on the block and will be ditching 6th gear for a 'cuff' as power levels are anticipated at +600whp. Custom ratio 5th gear is in the works.
@@ThatHondaChannel So i plan on going with the same setup on my rsx type s tranny 1-4 straight cut with their 4.4 final drive. Tsx 5th and 6th gear... im gonna be running a turbo later down the road. What is your feed back on the 4.4 final drive? Do you think its too long? Or would their 4.6 final drive would be better?
@@JDMINLINE408 I'd stick with the 4.7 FD
Helical added quite a bit of axial load on the trans case where as straight cuts do not. No need for warranty, she's on a dog box now 😎
@@ThatHondaChannel i completely agree homie. I guess im just going off what i heard about PPG specifically. But then again..they couldve greatly.improved since then! Which Dog box my guy? Fuckin sick af
Why is everyone’s PPG trans so loud compared to mine lmao
Straight cut FD
@@ThatHondaChannel I got straight cut drag gears for my Sti too
Are those the gears whining?
They sure are! Straight gears and final drive
@@ThatHondaChannel sounds crazy. Might use your blue print for when my trans needs a rebuild
