I just seen Rich Brian in concert, and he literally stopped his performance to sign someone's hat in the crowd. I love this kid. He's amazing compared to most 19 year old shitheads
I've been an English teacher in Indonesia for the past 7 years and hearing this guy talk is so damn inspirational. I was teaching during the time he was growing up in Jakarta and learning English and watching UA-cam videos. He reminds me so much of some of my students who would talk nonstop about American UA-camrs and how much watching their videos have inspired them and endeared them to American culture. I've had some super smart girls and boys basically run circles in language development compared to the kids that weren't doing this. UA-cam will always be a better English teacher than me. Indonesians are wonderful people and even though there are many aspects of the culture I disagree with and there are forces at work in his country to stifle the kind of self-education and mind-opening that he's doing, by and large the population is full of curious, intelligent and "ready for the next step" kind of youth. I love this.
But the thing tho is that not so many people is interested enough to do so... I've had so many friends that desperately wanna be good at English, but they don't wanna watch UA-camrs or like the movies... I'm like what did you expect if you just wanna continue by learning through school and not willingly enough to taught yourself by something beside it... Bruh
I am watching American content UA-cam videos in daily basis for the last 8 years but still can not speak English. I think there are very few Indonesia who are resourceful (and have resources) to learn and speak English really well.
"it doesnt feel like an interview, it feels like catching up with an old friend while eating super spicy wings." this is a perfect description of this show.
Brian is the dude. Understands what being a bro means, faced those wings like a champ, and is just an all out cool dude. I love this show for how it comes out less like an interview and like people just coming out to chat and chill. Keep it up my guys you really bring an amazingly enjoyable experience.

He on the other hand, was coughing, tearing up, gasping for air, red face, kept reaching out for milk while I didn’t drink a single sip at all. I hate when people judge or diss the channel just because they don’t know who Brian is. Sean does tons of research, it doesn’t take a lot to do a little. Even if you don’t like his music, this was a great episode. Brian’s a really nice down to earth guy, that’s how I like my Hot Ones episodes 😎
I also hate it when people judge the channel because they don't know who Brian is. The last couple episodes they didn't know who Brian was. Even throughout the seasons they didn't know who Brian was, and they were hating even then. All kidding aside though, I agree. I'm not gonna lie and say I'm not a little disappointed when I see its someone I dont even know, because its pretty special when you're like "Holy shit! I know that person, I really wanna see how they hold up!" But I found this channel when they were getting lots of people nobody knew and then I had to go back to watch all the previous episodes of people I didn't know. Jacob Bordeaux 7 is already a good score for Fantano tho, but the way he talks most of the time about the albums he reviews are it's like a 2 or a 3.
