my brother once dreamed that he was playing some ocarina of time multiplayer and the second player was a flying blue link and all of the music was smooth mcgroove
+Khan Noonien Singh Personally I feel like Dragonroost is overrated. It's just like all the other overworld music in WW, I don't really see what separates it.
Wow! Good job all of you! Good job pam-pam-paapaaa! Good job puh-puh-puh! Good job high pitch paaaa-paaaa! Good job whistly! Good job pwampampampampapapapapam! Good job lower pitched pam-pam-paapaaa! Good job greenhat mc tsh tsh! And last but not least, good job big bombom bombom!
This song never fails to make me happy, and what makes me even happier is that I can't find any negative comments here. Maybe this song just has that effect on everybody.
+spookstonenexus Sometimes I wonder if people only subscribe to him because of his beard and not because he does great acapella songs... Would he be as big as he is today if he didn't have the beard? Sadly I think that answer no doubt has to be a no.
DevinAK49 It sounds ridiculous but just look at the comments talking about his beard on just about every video. Don't get me wrong I really like his acapella videos but I get the feeling he wouldn't even have 200,000 subscribers right now if he was beardless.
1:30 *pauses* Wait a minute.... *rewinds a bit* Is that the Kokiri Forest theme!?!?! (sry if I sound like an idiot right now, I never played this game....)
yes, a lot of music in the Legend of Zelda games are connected with eachother, for example the Drum Etude in Majoras Mask and the Cave theme in A Link to the Past. I could go on forever telling you about the connections and backrounds of the Zelda tracks... but I won't.
Koji Kondo is a genius, his melodies explain completely to you what they are all about, you can practically feel the sea breeze on your skin, thanks for this wonderful cover!
I still would like The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask Clock Town Theme but this has indeed temporarily satisfied my addiction. Thanks for the LoZ cover, Smooth. Keep them coming! :)
Listening to this brought tears to my eyes...all those afternoons after school sailing across the seas, collecting treasures, finding secrets, going to each square of the map to have it marked on your map...priceless. Thank you smooth for brining back those wonderful memories 😊
+Ocary As cool as it would be to do Dancing Mad, I don't see him doing that song like ever. Remember, it's like 17+ minutes long! That would take a ridiculous amount of work for one guy to pull off by himself.
I am all for him doing dancing mad but I don't see him doing it. However string player gamer did an a capella arrangement of dancing mad that you may want to look at.
+Pepe Kebabo what you can clearly hear is reverb and sometimes delay. Surely he uses EQ and compression. Also im pretty sure he uses some form of pitch correction. (autotune like plugins)
Pepe Kebabo What you are thinking about when hearing pitch correction is the tpain effect am i right? These days everyone uses pitch correction, not for the effect but for correcting a word/note that is a few cents off.
Hearing the OOT riffs mixed into this song makes me so happy. I just can't stop smiling when I hear them. Maximum nostalgia! TY for making this, my friend, and keep up the great work you do of re-invigorating these beloved classics.
Almost brings a tear to my eye :') Always remember opening this and playing it on Christmas morning as a kid. Holy shit thank you Nintendo for my childhood and thank you mcgroove for the nostalgia chills
Wind Waker is the third game I remember playing back around 2003 and I still love the game and it's music especially so much. Your arrangement gets the feel of the original very nicely.
Original Zelda songs like this (and its rendition by McGroove) always make me think how wonderful it would be to live inside a fun video game world, to go on adventures or just to chill.
For some reason when my tiny brain saw the thumbnail for this I thought "I bet I could do something like this" then I heard how good the very first note was and realized I'm an idiot.
Hey, that was a great MEDLI. I'm gonna send the LINK to all of my friends. Do you MIDNA if I ask you to do a few more Wind Waker themes? Either that, or you could cover the Pachelbel... GANON! But seriously, this cover was DEKU NUTS! When are you GORON to upload your next cover do you think? I'm so sorry.. xD
+William Darkholme yessssss VVVVVV is one of my all time favorite indie platformers and has my favorite soundtrack, i've wanted smooth to do a track from it for so long :'0
He has done so many Pokémon music but not one of them was a battle music . . . OOHHHHHH WWHHHHHHYYYYYYYYYYYY Lance/Red battle theme would be the peak of awesomeness
For some reason, I felt this game was better than it's successor, Twilight Princess. The play control felt more fluid, and the gameplay just seemed more straightforward in WW. In TP (at least on GC), Link always felt "wooden" or "mechanical" to me when running, walking, or moving around. The controls during battle sequences got a little too complicated, IMO - to the point where it was getting the way of the gameplay. The graphics were obviously superior in TP, but again, efforts to make Hyrule big & expansive, combined with the "glow effect" on everything seemed to be a minus for me. Hyrule in Ocarina of Time wasn't small by any means, and it took me more than one or two play throughs to find some of those hidden grottos. The overworld in TP just seemed so big that it overwhelmed me; I knew there's probably hidden grottos out there amidst that open terrain, but holy crap - even with Epona, it'd take me days to cover every inch. The other problem with TP's overworld was that it felt too disjointed. In OoT, the "Hyrule Field" map was the largest and central area, with the smaller areas (Lon Lon Ranch, Lake Hylia, Death Mountain, etc) all within it or extending outward from it. TP seemed to have areas that would loop back on themselves, or could be accessible from one side of the map, but not the other. I haven't played Skyward Sword, so not sure if it's similar to TP, but personally, I think the Zelda series hit it's prime with OoT, with A Link to the Past coming in 2nd for me. The games have just got too complex and the controls too complicated, to the point where it's just not fun to play anymore. I think that's why I like Wind Waker so much - a new Zelda adventure that kept it simple and tried to emulate what made OoT a hit.
The problem with Twilight Princess was the game was originally developed for Gamecube, then halted half way through, had its controls ripped out in favor to release it on the wii as a system seller, and then once it became clear the wii would be delayed a few gamecube discs were printed again (and believe me they are the WAY superior version, the wii controls are absolute trash in particular in the scenes where you have to aim bow and arrow under pressure) Overall Twilight Princess had the less interesting world but excelled at storytelling and characters. Midna is one of my favourite video game characters of all time. Both games are brilliant Zelda games in their own ways. The openness of Wind Waker ment you had more to explore (Twilight Princess is rather linear and only really has 1 main side objective, collecting the bugs) but at the expense of also thinning the experience. Ganon didn't really seem that threatening while i happily explored all the islands for hours and hours. The looming doom of the shadow world in Twilight Princess felt WAY more intimidating.
This has to be one of the most welcoming song there is in Zelda, i feel like i am being welcomed to a new place that will be my home, all warm and fuzzy feeling like a chill Disney song
I got this game on my birthday, and whenever I hear this song it fills me with the same joy I felt back then. This rendition is definitely going on my playlist :D

Best dream
Well there are multiplayer mods for Ocarina of Time and you can levitate too.
Love the little section that sounds like Kokiri forest
A minor touch, but a fantastic throwback nonetheless.
It's part of the original, too.

Direct sequel to ocarina of time in the adult timeline
Yes the best theme in Wind Waker !
+Firty Ash I think it's one of the happiest ones. Brings back great memories!
Smooth McGroove
Yes ^^
+Khan Noonien Singh He already did that.
+Khan Noonien Singh Personally I feel like Dragonroost is overrated. It's just like all the other overworld music in WW, I don't really see what separates it.
+Crawfishness ....
I swear he's so much better than the originals sometimes
this song literally temporarily gets rid of depressopn

Rewatching all your videos because you sound like a God now
+Dfault He still sounds like god with bad quality sound, now he'll just sound even better then god
+spookstonenexus Sometimes I wonder if people only subscribe to him because of his beard and not because he does great acapella songs...
Would he be as big as he is today if he didn't have the beard? Sadly I think that answer no doubt has to be a no.
+Kratos Aurion Plays that's rediculous.
DevinAK49 It sounds ridiculous but just look at the comments talking about his beard on just about every video.
Don't get me wrong I really like his acapella videos but I get the feeling he wouldn't even have 200,000 subscribers right now if he was beardless.
+Dfault Dfault, is that you bruh? xD
I've always loved the subtle nods to the Kokiri Village song from OoT in this piece.

I think it's time he did Hyrule Field from TP already :)
+ThePudgeGaming While it may not be the best theme in the Zelda series, it is definitely the most epic one. A cover of that would blow my mind.
+ThePudgeGaming that would require 2....since there's a normal and orchestral

It feels like yesterday yet here I am 2 years later!
Lol
Here's to 2 more
There's something more calming about Smooth McGroove's rendition of this song than the original. Does anyone else agree with me?
Tsunami of nostalgia just crashed into me
The childhood though. Wind waker is my favorite game of all time.
Thanks for this 2:15 minutes of hapiness .
Listening to this brought tears to my eyes...all those afternoons after school sailing across the seas, collecting treasures, finding secrets, going to each square of the map to have it marked on your map...priceless. Thank you smooth for brining back those wonderful memories 😊
Please do Dancing Mad from FF 6 or World Revolution from Chrono Trigger. :D
World Revolution would be awesome.
+Maester Mike He could divide it into the four parts of the song.
SilverTheCrow Maybe. It would still be a massive undertaking for him if he did it.
OMG PLEASE DO THE TEMPLE OF TIME THEME FROM OOT!!!!! ITS NEVER BEEN DONE BEFORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Do you do any processing on either of your vocal tracks? Like EQ and such? And as always, you and your brothers did an excellent job!
+Pepe Kebabo what you can clearly hear is reverb and sometimes delay. Surely he uses EQ and compression. Also im pretty sure he uses some form of pitch correction. (autotune like plugins)
Pretty sure he would not use autotune for this. I can not hear any signs of pitch correction anywhere.
Pepe Kebabo What you are thinking about when hearing pitch correction is the tpain effect am i right? These days everyone uses pitch correction, not for the effect but for correcting a word/note that is a few cents off.
+Pepe Kebabo he defeintly uses autotune or whatever in some videos, there is no way he can sing way high.
I remember him saying that he doesn't use autotune, and why would you use autotune if you only use your voice, what would be the point?
Hearing the OOT riffs mixed into this song makes me so happy. I just can't stop smiling when I hear them. Maximum nostalgia! TY for making this, my friend, and keep up the great work you do of re-invigorating these beloved classics.

NOSTALGIA. SO MUCH. This is too good to put it into words.
