As a 30 year retired law enforcement officer who spent most of her career supervising investigations, I am appalled at how this investigation was conducted. I have heard nothing so far that these investigators did correctly. One would think when they call in the big guns (MA State Police), the investigations would be done properly, but it appears their ineptness was as poor as the Canton Police. I would be ashamed to call this an investigation and I would hide my head in shame if I were them. We expect better from professionals. I had hoped law enforcement had moved past "the good ole days" when "the good ole boys" were in charge.

Thank you for your service. Respectfully, it is important to clearly note how the Defense is painting(!) the investigation in their cross-examination and how Lally sets the record straight in his redirect. Therein lies the truth. We must not be fooled by the very slick Defense tactics in this case. I’ll give several examples: The use of red solo cups and a leaf blower was blasted by Defense but testimony revealed that: the Canton police had never investigated a homicide for lack of resources etc. but had always turned over such investigations to the State Police; the State Police could not get there for hours bc of a historic blizzard; the Canton police had NO appropriate evidence containers for samples of snow w blood so they improvised; the leaf blower would gently uncover levels of additional snow fallen since murder; if they did not collect blood evidence then it would melt &be gone forever bc rain began to fall; they operated on the principle of ‘something is better than nothing’ AND there was never a question that the blood was that of the victim O’Keefe; all the improvised evidence gathering in brutal blizzard conditions was video recorded by them. I could give numerous other instances. We need to pay very careful attention and note facts only(!), not innuendo etc., that is later debunked by Lally on redirect. Every time the Defense attacks the integrity of the investigation and insinuates something, Lally comes back to show facts, truth, context, etc., and how, by implication, many (not all) of the smears of the Defense are groundless. I am not on “either side”. I just see these things.

I got a call from my son which on my recent calls, shows 13 sec. I had my headphones on as I was listening to audiobook. Siri announced, [firstname lastname] call, do you want to answer it? Me: yes but it didn’t answer so I have to manually take my phone from my legging’s pocket and press the phone button to answer. My son: wait for me mum, I’m right here. Me: what? Where are you? Son: right here, turn around. Me: oh ok, can see you. 13 seconds for all of the above. Then I thought of this case and the 22 seconds call at 2:22am. That’s plenty of time to talk during those butt dials 😂

❤ That testimony Brian Higgins talked about was a "proffer" agreement in a FBI interview about his and others involvement/actions in the murder investigation. But they didn't get to mention that, and because he changed/denied some of his testimony ,he now can be in trouble due to his "proffer". He is also put on administrative leave, because of an internal investigation, which is on hold as long as the FBI is doing the criminal investigation... I really hope that the FBI is able to get the information they need to solve this, because the MA PD has definitely not been doing their job, to give justice for John O'Keefe and Karen Read and their families.........

It is quite possible KR drank over the hours she was home which renders the blood alcohol results inaccurate. As well the time was measured from when the accident is thought to have occurred not based on when KR had her last drink. Without those variables being accounted for, as the witness reported, the results are useless. I appreciate your objective takes each day-thanks.

The accusation is not that he is the murderer but that he was disillusioned enough to tamper with evidence to assist his friends and not the lady that closed the door to a possible relationship.
