- Opening and gameplay video of Carmen Sandiego Junior Detective. Unlike other games in the series, this one has much simpler gameplay targeted towards younger kids, around 5 to 8 years of age.
Junior Detective also features Zack, Ivy, and the Chief from the "Where on Earth is Carmen Sandiego?" cartoon. Rita Moreno reprises her role as Carmen from the cartoon for this game. Stretch the Crime Dog (from "Where in America's Past") makes his only other appearance in this game.

I had this game & it stopped working after about a year, it would go to the first screen & I'd hear the "this is ACME" & then it cut off. Thanks for posting this clip.
The Jr detective game was only game to use the DIC cartoon characters from where on earth in it. Both world.and time used Chief Thigpin from the PBS game shows
wow, I remember when I first caught Carmen Sandiego on this game. The dog had a different barking noise and I thought, "WHOA! IT'S HER!"

Oh Carmen Sandiego. You truly are the most powerful adversary that I have ever met. I almost caught her in this game, but she slipped away because the battery decided to finally die at this point in the game.

This was my first and only exposure to the series as a kid, aside from the board game version of USA. I eventually picked up the 1994 Windows version of Where in the World at a thrift store.
Holy shit! I remember this game gave me nightmares as a kid. That noise at 1:28 kept me up at night!
This is the only Carmen Sandiego game I could solve cases on when I was in elementary school. :P

I've gotten Windows 98 to install in Virtualbox, but it's challenging to pull off. The hardest part is probably finding a usable MIDI driver for games.
