I love the way you turn to the camera when your talking to us. I always feel like I'm there with you and Sharon. Well done with the floor. Its many years since I was in Spain but I dont remember any humidity. Here in Ontario we get the horrible humidity which makes the heat very uncomfortable.
Hi Andy. Having worked for many years in the middle east i know how you can never underestimate the effects of heat. Particularly having been laid out with heat stroke myself. Take care and go well Keep the faith!
Great work Andy, jeez mate, that was some angles to play with there, I don’t envy you that task at all ha ha!..everything coming together superbly as always mate 👏🏼👌
I was back in Spain last week and went past your place (on the motorway), and I can confirm it was stinking hot!!! I'm still thinking about moving to Caudete. You'll be on the invite list when we are having a get together!
I was glad to see the doors open 😅, my self I use 4 penny finish nails to shim the molding and the door, I learned the hard way once😊. Not fun cutting the tiles angels ether. Very nice work!
Hi. Really enjoy your videos. You might want to put a large pan of water in the shade so your chickens can stand in it and cool down when it is so hot.
I just couldnt work in that heat. Chickens are originally edge of forest dwellers the more shade you can give them the better. Amazing work ethic as always
Motivated in the 41C heat... Bravo! The finishing touches on your living area makes it look pukka. Suggestion: buy the chickens some dried grubs as normally they would be scratching the ground for some. Congrats on 1st 🥚👍🏻
I was using a wetter than normal mix and the tiles are so porous that the mix gets absorbed really well. A few days earlier, they had all been scrubbed and soaked.
Mate , I have some questions: you have a concrete floor, have you experienced any trouble with raising damp? and what kind of lime are you using for exterior/ interior walling jobs? Because there is a constant between concrete floors and raising damp on old stone walls, at least that what the “experts” say, the ideal shoul be an layer of insulation like Leca or compressed glass and limecrete floor . I’m asking because soon I wiil start to restore an old stone cotage and I woul like to use the best materials I can and avoid trubles in the future. Good luck and keep posting videos.
The floors are generally limecrete or stone laid directly on to earth - as was done everywhere for centuries. We have no issues at all with any kind of damp as the whole house can breathe, even with several walls below ground level. Check out heritage-house dot org for all the information you will ever need.
I remember when Alfie arrived, a tiny little thing who has taken over the farmhouse lol
As always, finished to perfection. Oiling does really bring out the nice color of the hand-made Tiles.
It's hard to get motivated to do a lot of small jobs, but it is very rewarding. Alfie did a great job helping too!
Well done Andy, nice to get all those little things completed. Sharon will be happy to see the progress!
It is coming together beautifully. i am so in awe of this wonderful home you are reclaiming.
7:57 as interesting as the rest of your video is, I get so much peace and joy from hearing a little kitty purr. 😻
Thank you. Yes, the kitties are very soothing
Marvellous that you can keep on with the stone wall. Like you said, you don't want it to fall down. Dear, that's hot. Good luck with everything.

The linseed oil really changes the appearance of the tile!
I enjoy your videos. Page from CapeMay, New Jersey, USA
You do such beautiful work, I'm always amazed......

We have had heat warnings too! 😱 Yep, 43 here, and humidity horrible, and nights are no cooler!
We're very fortunate to have quite low humidity and cooler nights. Stay safe.
Hello Andy, great progress in that heat!👍👍
Looking good!😊Sharon will be happy.
Well done.
Nice job, mate!😎
Only in good humour my partner said ‘he’s still working on the Great Wall of Spain’, when I asked what you were up to this week. 😂

👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

A bit warm...
🥰
You need a work bench outside, your back will thank you!
Built yourself a work table. Save your BACK!
He has one in the workshop
He saws on the ground so it’s easier to prop up the other end of the board, to make a cut, and to keep all the sawdust from making a mess indoors.
Chickens can do short flight need to clip their wing tips.
Just like my husband never stops talking about the heat, boring!
👍😎🍻
Why don't you wet the floor tha same as the walls ?
