5mge 1983 here. 150 hp is all you need in that thing. you gotta learn to drive if you want to own one. rain/snow 6" no problem for this thing. what a car.
Mine cuts fuel at 7,200,has no mph cap either,I've had it since it only had 16,000 miles on it. Sees its best power above 3,800 RPM, gotta shift fast too keep the revs high.

almost same. 1991, i was 19. got an '82 with a blown head gasket. rebuilt the engine. that was the first of 3 i've owned. greatest car ever.

2800lbs and 150hp is a bit of a dog IMO.
Just bought my 83 (84 model year) at 16. $1500 bucks and only problem was the fuel pump. Toyotas never die
