Hey ya'll! Today on my channel we are reacting to some tiktok drama. I took a trip down a tik tok rabbit hole and found the messy side of tiktok. The DRAMA is like a car crash on the side of the road, I CAN'T LOOK AWAY. Enjoy.

Hi, I'm Charlotte Dobre. I'm an actor, reactor, singer and sometimes (not really) comedian. On this channel I do reactions, commentary and occasionally I make a joke or two. I love poking fun at social media, weddings, entitled people, tiktok and OF COURSE petty people. I upload daily, usually 7 days a week, unless life gets crazy or I get lazy. Come hang out, it's a good time.

Now I’m an adult and happen to be in a position where I can be the stay at home parent. Big love to all the lucky ones who are blessed enough to stay at home with their babies. It doesn’t matter what your gender is, staying at home with the kid(s) and keeping things together is a 24/7 job.

I had one ex go so far as to start conversations, and then switch them up in the middle. He'd claim we were never talking about the first subject and I'm delusional and "really need to get some help". He used to beat me up and tear me down. I don't even know why I dated him. His tricks never worked, his punches never put me down, his words never broke me. I left shortly after he started acting crazy, I'm guessing he thought the only way I would stay was if he broke my spirit? Idk. But I've been in a 5 year relationship that is so happy and healthy and full of laughter. I love it. We've never argued, he got mad at a situation we were in one time and wanted to start a fight and I wouldn't fight with him... he talks about it to this day, that I totally deescalated him just by being calm and understanding. And when he used hurtful words (it was only the once and to be fair it was a bad situation) I just nodded my head and told him he's allowed to have that opinion. But I still love him.
Edit: it takes 2 to fight. It takes 2 to have a healthy relationship too. If you're getting more bad out of it than good, it's time to go. You can do bad all on your own.

Men are often victims of sexism too, but usually don't call it out. The woman who ran out on a date because he wasn't tall enough is another example of sexism, even though she was right to leave because he lied. It sounds like she was more upset about him being short than being dishonest.
I never gave a crap about height, never ask a potential date about height and weight, because that would give him the right to ask me the same thing! I'm tall, and when I was younger I did weight training so I muscular. That was a turn off to some guys, but then I met a very handsome, smart, funny man who was 3 inches shorter and 10 lbs lighter than me. I could carry him piggyback, and sometimes I did just to get a laugh out of the kids. We both had sons who were 3 years old when we met and most of our time together included them. Our favorite date venue was this fun huge indoor playground that was full of trampolines, ball pits, obstacle courses with swinging padded punching bags, rings, and trapezes, with padded gym mats covering all the floor. That place would kill me now, but 28 years ago it was a blast!

Honestly, the height issue had just never come up before we met in person (we met through a Facebook group, not on an app where you're required to list that information), and I'd equally failed to mention that I was on the taller side (a little taller than him, as it turns out), so I think we were both surprised. 😂 But Charlotte's right -- it's not about the height, it's about the lies. If a girl is giving off the vibe that she won't date you because of your height, just move on. People are allowed to have preferences, but you're better off with someone who wants you as you are, and you can't expect a girl to be into you when it's obvious from the moment she sees you that you're the kind of guy who lies to get what he wants.

A guy once showed up to a date a full 6" shorter than he claimed. I wondered if I was being superficial when I felt really turned off by his height. But, the more I thought about it, I kept coming back to the same thought: "But why lie about it?!" And I realized my real issue is that he was the kind of person who would lie to seem more appealing. If he's willing to lie about something that will be discovered the second I see him, then what might he lie about that I can't immediately tell? Better to tell me you're a short king and own it, than to make me wonder what else you're hiding.
(The real irony is I'm 5'2"--nearly every man is taller than me anyway, so I don't bother factoring it in to my dating criteria. So, lying didn't even help him match with me in the first place--it only served to inform me that he is a liar.)

@@eveningstar8581 Honey, first of all, I've been with the wonderful man I am married to for over 20 years.
That doesn't mean 98% of men or women make awesome partners. There's a lot of bad partners in the world, and some of them are horrible.
Second, I would say this if it were a man talking about a woman who broke his heart while having him pay for three Ubers a week for years, too. That's a LOT of money, for WAY too long!
Third, it's easy to say "a victim of her own making" when you don't consider emotional abuse. Could she have been avidly codependent and eager to do this for someone who wasn't that into her? Certainly, but even so, it was still rotten of him to take advantage in such an extreme way!
But it's equally possible she didn't start the relationship that way, and unwittingly fell into the slowly-boiling-pot of an abusive-exploitative relationship...and if so, he definitely would have made her feel like everything that happened was her fault because she was an increasingly worthless idiot.
Only someone who has been in that relationship, or has worked helping people who have been in it, knows how important it was for her to hear someone who **absolutely isn't trying to date her** say that she should NOT feel abjectly horrible and stupid about the situation, and that it was wrong for that man to take advantage of her for years.

Eh, depending on the state that isn't true. A business can and will legally detain you while they call the police if you are stealing. That's why places like Walmart and target have whole teams whose job is to block you from exiting and physically pull you into a room. In my state you don't even have to be leaving. If you open a package or put something in any sort of bag or pocket, or if someone you came in with does it, they can grab you right there and physically move you into a room while they call the cops.
I know this is a fact because I worked at target and knew the loss prevention ppl and saw it happen many times. I also know this is true because at Walmart my ex, who I was not next to when this happened, opened a pair of headphones at the back of the store to see if he liked them and out of nowhere I'm getting grabbed and dragged and he got slammed to the ground by 2 guys and dragged into a room. We were both prosecuted for shoplifting. We both pled not guilty but were convicted anyway because that's the actual law. Everything they did was 100% legal.

" by that logic, so are stay at home mums". No, lol. If you actually watched the video, the mother taught the daughter that men are "providers and protectors". Since the dad of her classmates didn't fit that sexist ideals, she called him a bi###. Is it wrong? Yes, but that was not the mother's intention and it is definitely something that needs to be corrected.

10:07 hits close to me because I just became a manager and every shift I tell whoever I'm working with to go sit in the back and eat something multiple times because most of them are high schoolers that forget to eat. I also walked into work the other day and the MOD told me one of the workers wanted to go home early because she had some personal drama going on and I looked at the MOD and said " why are you asking, if she feels like she needs to go home she can go home we have enough people here to help I'm not going to force someone to stay" because of all the times I was forced to work through my depression and constantly being sick by my other managers. I want to be the one they can remember as actually caring about them as a human and not a machine.
