This just popped up in my feed Mark, and its brilliant. Do you have a long edit version? I’m wondering whether we crossed paths somewhere along our jaunt from Bluff to Nelson. We should compare notes mate!
A pity you didnt start at Kahurangi N.P. then you would meet the geological source of it in Fiordland. Well done. Ive done similarly, and rate it highly. I really appreciated your location captions. Hakataramea Pass to Kurow is fun but Danseys Pass is a grind.
Thanks. Mixture of camping and cabins (I like every 3rd night in a cabin if I can because I get a better sleep and don't have to setup or pack down (more time for eating)!
Yep and I found it a great choice. Many people rode hardtails and a few full suspension. There were a couple of descents that would have been nice but on balance I felt there was more time suspension would have slowed me down unnecessarily.
I’m planning on doing this in the second wave. I also got a gravel bike with 50mm tires. What tires did you use? Any tips? I’m just starting to plan it now
I had Schwable G One tyres in 700x50 and thought they were plenty enough. There were a couple of sections I would have liked suspension but as that only totaled maybe an hour of the journey I think on balance the gravel bike was the right choice for me.
Nice work!! Well done on a great ride.
You got me,I’m sold on it!I have/need to do this…👍
Highly recommended (just like all the Kennett Bros routes) 👌🏼
I like it. I like it a lot!
Nice! Joe Nation must be a beast
Really nice video, thanks! You must have blasted past us at some point.
Not sure there was much blasting going on unless the brakes were off on some of the downhills!

No long edit yet, but it is something I want to do as I narrated it a bit for my family 👍🏼

Maybe I'll plan a route to start at Kahurangi 👌🏼
Brilliant. Great idea no talking, which invariably becomes boring. Looked beautiful. Did you camp along the way ?

Are you using your Scott speedster gravel 20?

@@FutureMark809 will buy this bike then if it's a good investment. I'm looking for bike for tarmac and gravel roads, few actually off road type.
I use it for commuting, audax riding, bike packing and it is happy both on and off road.
