7:06 I’m not sure if you already knew this or not, but the reason Shugabush Island sounds so much like a real song is because it’s actually a cover of a real song. Shugabush as a monster is also based on a real person- the artist of said real song ^^
Aw man, Fire Oasis is probably my favorite island song-wise in the main game, so its ranking was a bit disappointing. I appreciate all the positive aspects you see in each island though!
My top 5 1- Amber island (i still have much hope for this island and with all the predictions and official stuff, i can't get bored by hearing this island, and i also think this island is quite special and really creative) 2- Seasonal shanty (hella underrated island, the melody is good, altough it isn't as much impactful as other islands, the simple melody and the vibes this island gives to me makes this island the only one to give me chills, i will never get bored of this island and i think more people should appreciate this island, who Cares for drums if we got monculous?) 3- Fire haven (nostalgic, good, have a great concept and floogul is my baby) 4- Faerie island (i really Love this island, it quite fits the "magical" vibe and it's a really energetic song) 5- Light Island (All of the monsters are perfect, and it's a really great song, the instrumental is calm and melodic.) (Also i like islands like the sanctum, plant and ethereal, i Just got bored of them)

Light Island - I don't know why people think that this island sucks (I've seen a lot of comments saying it sucks), but the island stands out the most in my opinion and the beautiful melodic sound is a literal CHEF'S KISS. It's amazing, I absolutely LOVE IT. 2. Mythical Island - Mythical Island is literally the epitome of gorgeous, ESPECIALLY the end. The Bleatnik and the Cherubble are the monsters that you need to bring this island together. The fact it's not even done and it doesn't even feel empty is something that surprises me, as it isn't the same with a lot of the islands in this game. 3. Bone Island - The monster designs are the monsters that I have always wanted to see, which are creepy lil' monsters who do lil' cute sounds that end up bringing an island together. That's what I've got. This island is perfect in so many ways and the creepy vibe is just another CHEF'S KISS. This is just my personal opinion to be honest, and I don't know if these are even valid reasons to like an island but these are MY reasons and it's something I resonate with.

In my opinion i think light island is much more repetitive than psychic (i in general hate lullaby themes and they've pretty much always annoyed me even back when i was a child)

Magical Sanctum (Never heard a song like this one, thanks to Enchantling, I had the will to have it's collection complete, it's a perfect song to me) 2. Ethereal Island (This was already my favorite until Sanctum came along, that's why is here) 3. Plant Island (The song that brought me into the game couldn't be missing, this song is in its best right now) 4. Bone Island (This song is a banger) 5. Seasonal Shanty (I believe this song is unappreciated somehow, but I actually believe it has a good song) BONUS!!! 6. Gold Island (I just love it)

This probably won't be seen but I think it would be cool to see what people think, if anyone does see it, haha :) I think my top 5 would be: 1: Ethereal island - Ethereal Island is freaking awesome :) I listened to it on loop just recently and I'm STILL not bored of it haha! I love Whisp's ghostly singing and Fung Pray's strings :) or.. er.. arms...? 2: Plant island - super catchy and every part is so cool! I find the werdos mostly fine (apart from a couple) in the other main islands but on this one they're the one of the best things for me personally :D 3: Air island - maybe I'm a bit of an oddball but I love this one so much! the bit just at the start where every monster is just going for it hypes me up to no end haha! I guess I'm even stranger because the epic Wubbox is also one of my favourites here :) its a short track but I feel it makes up for it in just how cool it is! also Yawstritch does immensely suck on this one, but honestly I can hardly hear her, even when I try and focus on their part 😅 also also, letting out ALL the controversial opinions here, but I like the Dippsters, I think they add a nice bit of background to every song :) 4: Water island - though its a little slow for my tastes at the start, it gets really good really fast! :) the two Werdos are great and their lyrics are very chill :), the epic Wubbox is er... epic! and the song has a really wholesome vibe to it in general :) 5: Bone island - this one is super calming for me and i vibe with it so hard, apart from two monsters on it, Peckidna and Denchuhs. I think I'm starting to like Peckidna more but there's something about the tone of her "yatta yatta yaa"'s that hurts my brain a bit, and Denchuhs (or the Denchuhs?) ruin the chorus and Phangler's awesome singing for me, personally. I actually like Shanty a lot, it’s very charming and it’s simplicity works for it in my opinion. The other new islands have gotten simpler but I feel like it’s more fitting for shanty and works with all the vocalists. I don’t like light/faerie as much
Something I noticed is that Psychic Island and Ethereal Island have similarly repetitive verses that start and finish almost the same way, but the reason why Ethereal is so much better in almost every aspect is because it not only flows better, but it has a bit more variety to it and the monsters are honestly so much better. Psychic Island does, what? Add Flowah to the next verse? Ethereal has a whole new verse before getting to the final verse, which also sounds distinctly different from the verse it’s repeating via Jelibilly. Though I do have minor gripes with Ethereal (shafting Humbug, Dragong, and Boodoo after their verse ends) mind boggling how they took a simple setup that worked on Ethereal and made it lame on Psychic. Would’ve been my least favorite island in the game until Amber showed up

My top 5 >:) 1. Magical Sanctum Like you said, the song fits the theme of magical sanctum perfectly. The song is just so powerful. Every single monster contributes to the island, and it would sound empty even if you had only one monster missing. The teleporting gimmick is annoying, but it is worth it for this island. Favourite monster: Xyster Least favourite monster: Déjà-Jin 2. Cold Island Another song that fits the theme perfectly. This could have topped magical sanctum, but there are a few monsters who don’t contribute positively to the island, the main example being the common wubbox. It’s vibe is eerie and i just love the whole song. With common wubbox on mute of course. Favourite monster: Strombonin Least favourite monster: Common Wubbox 3. Bone Island Bone Island just slaps. There are so many good monsters on the island, but it’s a lot more quiet than i expected. There are so many iconic monsters on the island though, and every single one contributes to the song. Favourite monster: Peckidna Least favourite monster: Fwog 4. Earth Island A great island, but youre right in saying the Werdo’s do not fit into the island. The best drop is insane though, and almost all the monsters feel like they belong in the song. Favourite monster: Epic Wubbox/Quarrister Least favourite monster: Hoola 5. Mythical Island THIS SONG IS SO GOOD! For it being incomplete it already sounds amazing, though it doesn’t quite top the other 4 because it’s incomplete. I will admit that the melody the Dipsters produce is very much needed; The problem is that it's produced by the Dipsters. It's just "dip dip dip". They're so annoying. At least the other vocal monsters have at least a bit of character, the Dipsters are just a voice plug-in made with FL Studio.
@@littleawesomeapple No. Then the dooping would be annoying. If executed with some sort of instrument, there'd be a better result. It's hard to say which instrument, as each song has a unique feel to it, but I'd argue anything is better than a vocal role (with a few exceptions).

Here are some of my takes: Bottom three: 3. Fire Oasis. Partially because of Gobblygourd and how they ruined Wynq and partially because I forget about it’s existence. 2. Light Island. Insanely repetitive and it doesn’t help that nearly every monster is reusing another’s track. Fiddlement keeps it from the bottom for me. 1. Amber Island. Only a few monsters left and it still feel completely empty for half of the song with the other half being completely disorganized? Like, there are some amazing monster sounds in here, but it also has the highest density of monsters I actively dislike and the ones that are good don’t mesh well with the others playing with them. Top 5 favorites: 5. Seasonal Shanty. I know, hot take. But I love the calm but happy feel this island has going on. And the duet between Fydil and the castle is one of my favorite parts of any song. 4. Earth Island. Excluding dipsters and weirdos (as I would for most islands) this song has a really good operatic sound unlike any other. 3. Wublin Island. Extremely strange in one of the best ways possible. Also possibly the only island that Wubbox actually fits on. 2. Magical Island. A fittingly mystical tone with amazing highs and build up. Though, Ostax did have to grow on me. 1. Fairy Island. Sounds great all the way through but the thing I love the most is how well it fits the theme of the island. Every monster is clearly fae and the music! This is the only island I feel comfortable saying that you could walk up to someone who has never played this game and they could guess the theme of the island!

Earth island should have been put a little higher up because of the great beat amazing monsters drumpler quarister reedling mammoth and more. Both wubboxs aren’t that bad on this island and the island itself is decorated very well the only bad part is that some monsters like thumpies you can’t hear that well. But that’s just my opinion. None the less good video
My favourite island is air island because I like how it’s got lots of mechanical monsters 2nd is ethereal island cause the song is amazing it’s like in space 3rd tribal island cause it’s like a teamwork thing where you feed your monsters as high as possible and it’s kinda fun
I feel the biggest problem with this tier list is simply that you don’t give unfinished islands a chance or anything, even when future updates (like boqewurm or what their name was) fix issues that you mention.

Ethereal island is super underrated! Every monster sounds beautiful and nothing ruins the song. Except the normal wubbox but it’s pretty ignorable. Even the rare wubbox sounds amazing and his part is comparable to his part in the earth island.
I actually love amber island because it has such a "me and the boys" vibe to it. I love the beat drop because krillby made it smoother. I also like the ominous vibe to it. Sneyser and woolabee are great examples. The song would be nothing without ziggurab. One of the things I hate about it though, is pongping's verse because it ruins the mysterious vibe of the beat drop. Negatives aside, amber is the best island in both game in my opinion.
When I was 7 2014 I listened to ethereal all the time I love tge sound jeeode makes fits with the theme and I love ghazt . Your list is a W but i personally think oasis is super underrated I love the beat and even gobblegourd sounds good in that song. And respect for not overrrating earth or amber

as classic as they are i’d rank the natural islands lower due to the werdos & epic wubbox (the dipsters arent that bad ok), as well as psychic as even tho there’s some great monsters the overall sound is kinda messy. ethereal, celestial, bone & wublin might be my favorites since there’s no monsters bringin them down. light & magical r up there too but they sound better to me when some monsters r muted & slowed down w/ the time machine. seasonal & amber r startin to have potential but other islands that gradually added monsters clicked w/ me faster

I believe I would let shanty remain in the last spot of the list unfortionetly, though in terms of amber island I think I would move it right in front of celestial island.
You should an updated video on this with Epic Wubbox on Water and Earth Islands. Earth Island Epic Wubbox fills the song even FURTHER than it was originally.

I absolutely love ethereal island too! because it just has a good vibe to it, and it just sounds good! and mainly The Sox's. I FRICKING LOVE SAXOPHONE WITH A PASSION I CANNOT EXPRESS!!! thats why i play sax, it has a nice tune and just AHgydsbkjxn "ya like jazz?"
Its also because celestial island is the oldest island in MSM and people have to figure out that MSM changes alot and how it changed, its so nice to see the old and the new at the same time.

I just don't agree how you can find psychic island boring and repetitive yet enjoy light island more. Almost half of the monsters on light island play the whole time and in the same way.
I think the reason i like light island even though it’s repeditive while I don’t like psychic island as much is simply due to light island being designed by choice to be repeditive. Because it was meant to be repeditive they slowly made it build up with different kinds of monsters which creates the i feeling of the song changing even though kayna plays the same sound throughout the entire song. Psychic island on the other hand was not supposed to be repeditive, it simply has too few verses and is in general too short, which instead creates the feeling of it being choppy, and incomplete.

All islands have different fluctuations in flaws and positives, some are more even and some have many impactful positives as well as many impactful flaws. Just because i didnt see that many flaws in celestial islands doesnt mean that its positives outweigh the positives on the other islands I said alot of great things about psychic island and the first thing i said about it wasnt negative, i praised it for its banger of a start.
Light island is a lot more repetitive than psychic island. The whole song is the same with a little more monsters appearing as the song goes. Not entire shifting of tracks or beat drops, just the same thing over and over again

I actually like Shanty a lot, it’s very charming and it’s simplicity works for it in my opinion. The other new islands have gotten simpler but I feel like it’s more fitting for shanty and works with all the vocalists. I don’t like light/faerie as much

Something I noticed is that Psychic Island and Ethereal Island have similarly repetitive verses that start and finish almost the same way, but the reason why Ethereal is so much better in almost every aspect is because it not only flows better, but it has a bit more variety to it and the monsters are honestly so much better. Psychic Island does, what? Add Flowah to the next verse? Ethereal has a whole new verse before getting to the final verse, which also sounds distinctly different from the verse it’s repeating via Jelibilly. Though I do have minor gripes with Ethereal (shafting Humbug, Dragong, and Boodoo after their verse ends) mind boggling how they took a simple setup that worked on Ethereal and made it lame on Psychic. Would’ve been my least favorite island in the game until Amber showed up

Like you said, the song fits the theme of magical sanctum perfectly. The song is just so powerful. Every single monster contributes to the island, and it would sound empty even if you had only one monster missing. The teleporting gimmick is annoying, but it is worth it for this island.

2. Cold Island
Another song that fits the theme perfectly. This could have topped magical sanctum, but there are a few monsters who don’t contribute positively to the island, the main example being the common wubbox. It’s vibe is eerie and i just love the whole song.

3. Bone Island
Bone Island just slaps. There are so many good monsters on the island, but it’s a lot more quiet than i expected. There are so many iconic monsters on the island though, and every single one contributes to the song.

4. Earth Island
A great island, but youre right in saying the Werdo’s do not fit into the island. The best drop is insane though, and almost all the monsters feel like they belong in the song.

I will admit that the melody the Dipsters produce is very much needed; The problem is that it's produced by the Dipsters. It's just "dip dip dip". They're so annoying. At least the other vocal monsters have at least a bit of character, the Dipsters are just a voice plug-in made with FL Studio.

@@littleawesomeapple No. Then the dooping would be annoying. If executed with some sort of instrument, there'd be a better result. It's hard to say which instrument, as each song has a unique feel to it, but I'd argue anything is better than a vocal role (with a few exceptions).

Here are some of my takes:
Bottom three:
3. Fire Oasis. Partially because of Gobblygourd and how they ruined Wynq and partially because I forget about it’s existence.
2. Light Island. Insanely repetitive and it doesn’t help that nearly every monster is reusing another’s track. Fiddlement keeps it from the bottom for me.
1. Amber Island. Only a few monsters left and it still feel completely empty for half of the song with the other half being completely disorganized? Like, there are some amazing monster sounds in here, but it also has the highest density of monsters I actively dislike and the ones that are good don’t mesh well with the others playing with them.
Top 5 favorites:
5. Seasonal Shanty. I know, hot take. But I love the calm but happy feel this island has going on. And the duet between Fydil and the castle is one of my favorite parts of any song.
4. Earth Island. Excluding dipsters and weirdos (as I would for most islands) this song has a really good operatic sound unlike any other.
3. Wublin Island. Extremely strange in one of the best ways possible. Also possibly the only island that Wubbox actually fits on.
2. Magical Island. A fittingly mystical tone with amazing highs and build up. Though, Ostax did have to grow on me.
1. Fairy Island. Sounds great all the way through but the thing I love the most is how well it fits the theme of the island. Every monster is clearly fae and the music! This is the only island I feel comfortable saying that you could walk up to someone who has never played this game and they could guess the theme of the island!

I feel the biggest problem with this tier list is simply that you don’t give unfinished islands a chance or anything, even when future updates (like boqewurm or what their name was) fix issues that you mention.
I only judge by the moment, it would be unfair to not do that since I have no idea if unfinished islands are gonna trn out great or not.

Ethereal island is super underrated! Every monster sounds beautiful and nothing ruins the song. Except the normal wubbox but it’s pretty ignorable. Even the rare wubbox sounds amazing and his part is comparable to his part in the earth island.
I actually love amber island because it has such a "me and the boys" vibe to it. I love the beat drop because krillby made it smoother. I also like the ominous vibe to it. Sneyser and woolabee are great examples. The song would be nothing without ziggurab. One of the things I hate about it though, is pongping's verse because it ruins the mysterious vibe of the beat drop. Negatives aside, amber is the best island in both game in my opinion.

as classic as they are i’d rank the natural islands lower due to the werdos & epic wubbox (the dipsters arent that bad ok), as well as psychic as even tho there’s some great monsters the overall sound is kinda messy. ethereal, celestial, bone & wublin might be my favorites since there’s no monsters bringin them down. light & magical r up there too but they sound better to me when some monsters r muted & slowed down w/ the time machine. seasonal & amber r startin to have potential but other islands that gradually added monsters clicked w/ me faster

I just don't agree how you can find psychic island boring and repetitive yet enjoy light island more. Almost half of the monsters on light island play the whole time and in the same way.
I think the reason i like light island even though it’s repeditive while I don’t like psychic island as much is simply due to light island being designed by choice to be repeditive. Because it was meant to be repeditive they slowly made it build up with different kinds of monsters which creates the i feeling of the song changing even though kayna plays the same sound throughout the entire song. Psychic island on the other hand was not supposed to be repeditive, it simply has too few verses and is in general too short, which instead creates the feeling of it being choppy, and incomplete.

All islands have different fluctuations in flaws and positives, some are more even and some have many impactful positives as well as many impactful flaws. Just because i didnt see that many flaws in celestial islands doesnt mean that its positives outweigh the positives on the other islands
I said alot of great things about psychic island and the first thing i said about it wasnt negative, i praised it for its banger of a start.
The air and eater islands had both good impacts with the werdos because tawker isn't on them lmao

Light island is a lot more repetitive than psychic island. The whole song is the same with a little more monsters appearing as the song goes. Not entire shifting of tracks or beat drops, just the same thing over and over again
