A girl who only dream to have a normal life. A love story from childhood to adult hood. When they finally be together and fulfill their promises.... I guess that "happy end" sad me more than any bad end...
@@sinnerwrath he's definitely not he's become completely emotionally numb after losing aiko the only person who he felt understood him. he confuses emotionally numbness with toughness by saying he's become so strong he gave up everything for her just like she asked of him and they got their 5 minutes in heaven til they realize they can't live like this and she kills herself. Even Asano said this is the worst possible ending for him maybe he can find happiness with saichi but the events of his life are engraved into his mind for as long as he lives
the manga showed me how shit the lives of some people actually are and that some people just want to be normal and how living a depressing life is worse than death, because in the end nothing really matters.
I think that it's because nothing really matters that you, as a human being, deserve to have a good life regardless to other people's expectations and desires. No matter your past or how much pain you had to endure you, too, deserve love (whether it comes from yourself or other people).
works of fiction and even mindsets of people of such a depressing nature, often rely on the assumption that nihilism is a truthful idea and an intentionally negative outlook on their situations. Some people have genuinely painful lives because of natural, mental or social reasons and others perceive it as painful to treat their life as a punching bag. If one tries to see if something beyond a nihilistic is potentially true, one could hope to find meaning. I only type this comment to try to help people identify the ideas at play through the underlying themes and to not assume such seemingly sensible ideas are actually true.
That's one of the reason why Punpun is so great. The protagonist is not a funky bird, but millions of people that see themselves in him. Punpun is all of us, and it makes each think about their life.
He didnt. Punpun just bring the last spark of happines to aiko when "they" killed the past of aiko (her mother). The consecuence is the final of Oyasumi punpun. But aiko died with no remordiment
Aiko é uma garota normal e gentil presa à um universo doentio criado por um Japonês Problemático. Todos os outros personagens são depravados e pervertidos. Mas a Aiko sempre foi Inocente.
This video touch me so much ;w; i really love this manga and i want to say THIS IS AWESOME you make really so good work i mean the music and the manga scenes is just prefect really so amazing work♥
Punpun is a despicable person , but can you really blame him ? He was just too dumb for this world , he got terrible childhood , terrible mother , he got raped by someone who he thought was a decent person (Midori is a piece of shit) , his uncle didn't do shit when he find out , same story with Aiko , got raped by punpun after having a terrible abusive childhood with her mother , I despise every single character in this manga , except for Seki , he's a good kid
He deserves peace and I think near the end of the manga he manages to achieve it, near all of his loved ones. Most people in his childhood failed him, but now he is in a good place.
Just want to tell everyone who’s going through a tough time and leaving dark comments that even Punpun had a light at the end of the tunnel, it just doesn’t appear to him in the state he’s in, but like his Uncle, there’s always hope. Just never take for granted moments of love. Life isn’t cruel, it’s just people that make it hard.
I'm here almost two years later, and everything turned worse. I'm gonna kms in the course of this week and I'm reading punpun again. I relate to Aiko a lot and it hurts to see that no matter how much we try some of us are simply not destined to have a happy ending. It breaks you and mangles every finer of yiur being but eventually you just have ti accept it. I already accepted it and like Aiko herself, I accept my fate.

A truly existentialist manga, one of the best that i've read. The anguish is the condition of existence.
This feeling of sadness feels sort of nice.
You can get addicted to a certain kind of sadness

I just finished the manga and I can't explain how it made me feel- it makes me question myself. Its very depressing-
