In our big RC Boats Engines (running high rpm's 33000+) we did the opposite, we took out the roller bearings and put in oil bronze bushings. Roller bearings can fail, bronze bushing can't. They just need more maintenance. But great video, thanks
The question I have for you is... what keeps the bearings from walking out of the case? The stock bushings are held in place by that little indexing tab. Is it just the clamping pressure of the case that holds them in place?
sce1011p is a slightly wider version of that needle bearing singled sealed, also a fix for the case leaking from the countershaft on the open end countershaft case, instead of using the single sided seal bearing, the m10121 needle bearings sealed end may work based on manufactures bearing specs
i have a transmission just like this it has no trans axel in it only issue now is i burn through the ropes used from the motor when i put it in 3'rd and gun it the rope usually burns

I know you said the reverse chain can break, what exactly breaks on it? Is it a master link usually or can it be anything? Eventually when I do this, I want to have reverse, so I was thinking of installing a heavier gauge chain and not using a master link, but pressing out the pin and making one solid chain.
how much of a difference did the needle bearing make on the turning of the shafts? did you just take your case to a machinist to have the case bored for the needle bearings? Do the needle bearing leak oil?
Do you know where I can get one of these for cheap? I got a free cub cadet 1315 from a friend and it has a 12.5 that i got running and I want to build a fast mower for fun as cheap as possible. It has a peerless 920 transaxle in it but I don’t think it will hold up.

So what needle bearings to you replace the old bushings with? Did you go from bushing only - to a "needle bearing bushing" ?
Do you have anymore info on the bearings and is there a splined shaft out each side of the trans on all 700s?
