I wanna know what the compost and the top shit layer is from? What are its constituents, and where does it all go afterwards? You also did not state how the mycelium was introduced to the compost or top shit. Please explain. Thanks much.
Well I was looking for directions and walked into their office side of the farm, it reeked so bad inside I had to run out before I puked. Was Continental mushroom in Ontario. You could also smell it half a mile down the road. The entire facility reeked. Not saying it was dirty it just smelled worse than anything I have smelled before and that includes drains plugged with hair. Don't get me wrong I love mushrooms and this is a good video I thumbs up it. I'm just thank full I can pick up a nice clean tray at the store and not have to work in that kind of stench.

That top shit is peat moss mixed with lime and water. Mycelium was introduced when they were spawning after compost pasteurized.

I think you are referring to a compost yard.. Mushroom farms where the growing takes place are actually quite clean
