It's sad because they never mention her when it comes to female hip hop pioneer. She was definitely the first female gangsta rapper and her album is definitely a classic
Yes!
This chick’s whole tape was lit. It’s one of those tapes that keep “disappearing “ around your friends!
The Brotherhood of Sleep haha I feel u 😉😂
Lol.....LOL....LOL FUCKIN FOREAL!!!!
Oh my God I can't believe you said that that shit was funny as hell but it's so goddamn funny because it's so fucking true because that's the error on from laughing out loud for real on that one

You know shit hot when people just start bobbing their heads.😉
Wit da Ewww face😂😂😂
Man, I feel old now. I had that on tape when it came out. Still hits hard. Beats was bananas and her lyrics were raw.
What female rapper can do that in 2023?
The production on this track still hits 2021
All the samples were stitched together so brilliantly, no one does that anymore
Check out TRAKASSO..... CHITOWN
Your uncle and dad heard this song back in the 90’s. We all did, it was all over the radio nationwide.
I remember when this track came out. I was like... This chick hard AF. The production was DOPE. The Barry White scratch / samples were rough as hell. Her lyrics and "delivery" of them were so real and convincing to me also. I was like... But this chick don't play.
A little unknown fact. The sample "This is deep.. I'm goin' deep" is a sample of Eddie Murphy from Beverly Hills Cop.
Her entire album “Born Gangstaz” is a hip hop gem. You guys reacted to the clean version. The dirty version was even better.
MY MOM(rip💐🌹💐) had this whole "tape" but played this song to life!!! She Loved this chick!!! I was still young/green @the time. Side Bar: a grp named Main Source sampled this beat 1st on a song called 🎶Just Hangin' Out 🎶. It was nice!!✔️🎶🎶🎶
the OG's faces are priceless ! one !
That beat is cold as hell! And her flow was icing on the cake!
Here name spoke for itself! R.I.P. Boss🌹
1 of my favorite female artists and song of all times, I remember when she was here in Dallas doing radio with Co Co Butta,R.I.P
Fake gangsta or not, Boss had skills. A lot of these "mushmouth" rappers today could take a lesson from her, because at least you can UNDERSTAND what she's saying 😅
Funny and true
This. This right here. Boss took a lot of shit back on the day, but there wasn't a female rapper on this planet that didn't wanna be her. That "don't ring the alarm" cut she did with Spice 1 still gets mad play in my Cadillac.
The whole album was incredible
One of Detroit's finest!! Def Jef was just the producer of the track. He also produced Shaq's "You know I got skillz". Boss was actually discovered by DJ Quik and he put her on a track with AMG which made its way to Russell Simmons who liked it and signed her to Def Jam West.
Facts!
Good info bro! Thanks
People thought she was a West Coast artist until we learned she was from Detroit. DJ Quik & Def Jef were instrumental getting her out there. Her LP was dope 🔥🔥 RIP 🕊🙏🏾
Good music will have all heads bobbing no matter the age group this was my joint love the video
RIP Boss. She passed on March 11th, 2024.
this song went hard AF. so much stuff going on throughout the beat!
Boss was a school teacher when she dropped this track so some called her a fake gangsta ... strong educated woman with this linguistic talent don't get more gangsta than that homie 🎶☯️
The Boss was the hardest female rapper out there
Loved Boss! Didn't know she was from the D. Use to keep this on rotation on Videos The Box!
