What a cracking character Bev Baker was, probably one of the darkest in the shows history. Compelling performance from Maggie Dence and a shame 'The Butcher' didn't get a bit more time to develop....but the producers apparently got twictched.
She was like jeffery dhamer apart from eating them 😮 it was good to have her tho because she was different than any other prisoner and it was a different and unusual storyline I loved it!!
In a case of history repeating itself. The Actress who played Marlene "Rabbit" Warren in Prisoner was in Neighbour's at the same time as Maggie Dence around 1992. Their two characters were friends from what I remember. Brenda Carpenter (Lou's sister?) and Dorothy Burke. 😀
This is their only scene together as Joan is suspended soon after. The character Bev was written out sooner than planned because of how terrifying she was so had that not happened, I imagine Bev and Joan would have had more scenes.
@col227t8 tbh even characters like myra, reb and bea have scared joan at some point so I feel like bev would actually terrify her, all of the women where scared of her
Lol the freak would be dead and not in Prisoner until the last episode. Would have been more exciting if the freak and Bev Baker had more scenes together
Meggie Dence is a fantastic, talented actress, all credit to her on playing such a dark, villainous character. But I didn't like how writer's went about her storyline. She came in to fast and aggressive, then back out again. I would had liked if Bev had initially came in and made friends with the women and showed more of her dry sense of humour towards Ferguson's when supporting the women against her strict regime. Then over time see her urges to conflict pain on to others in a more secretive underhanded way.
I’m trying to watch the old prisoner cell block h we’re Ferguson is in them all in bea has to win her reputation and the storylines are the same so anyone help me we’re I can get season 1 series 1 upto the end please help there’s all the series but do u buy them ???thanks for any advice on the proper prisoner cell block H I’ve watched the 2 seasons of prisoner but it’s not the same please help or any links that can put me to season 1 to the end of this season thanks 🙏 🎉🎉🎉😅😅😅😅

Maggie's still working/acting. Right now in 2024 (40 years after Bev Baker in '84) I'm watching Maggie in the second Season of ABC series "Frayed" 👍

Shame the Freak Ferguson and the Beast Bev had no real interaction with one another. Would've been interesting to say the least
