Excellent episode Christy and Baylee. Thank you to Pat for coming on the show and giving some insight into knocking off the rust. Keep up the excellent work. Safe skies my friends 🇺🇸🛩️
Have you considered the Army, Bayley? In 1969 I became the first Army ROTC Cadet to get the 36 hours (only for PPL at that time) in the ROTC Flight program for CPL as I had 180 hours at the time. DA didn't approve this until June. I flew the 36 hours in the C-140 and got my CPL. I graduated and was commissioned on the 24th of that month.
Would definitely not recommend my approach: Bought an airplane, first time flying in 40 years, hopped in with an instructor, took off and then he just drilled out, 'steep turns" then "demonstrate power off stall" power on stall, then came back demonstrated landings. After about an hour and a half. He said, "OK, you're good to go" Then I flew the airplane back to my new home base airport a couple of hours away.
How do I get something like this started in my local High School???? How can I get in touch with someone like Mr Brown to further this dream I have with getting more of the youth involved in Aviation.

Couldn’t have found a better guest. Pat Brown is the best. And a great ambassador for aviation

Anyone ever just go sit in their airplane and pretend to fly while wishing you had the money for gas?
Need to quiz the Rustys on reading Sequence Reports
I quit flying in late 1972 to transition to some Big Iron and didn't get back to GA until 2005.
I would tell you to have a check list as you close out the show. All the sponsorships.
👍✅ Tks girls, interesting episode👏

She needs to get her priorities straight! 😂
Where can I find the airspace and chart refresher?
Any programs for low income to get training for sports pilot? I live in the SW Adirondacks in NY.
I'm 12 min north of DTO, what is your flying clubs name? I'm currently studying ground school stuff bc of budget but want to get more involved. Thx!
