Hello, I'm struggling to determine how to set up my 5.1.2 system. The placement of the two in ceiling speakers is not clear after watching a few of your videos. Do I keep the 55 Degree out in front, so with an 8ft ceiling, 3.5ft forward and 35 Degrees outward?
Hi there. Hope you can help me. I have a totally unrelated question. I’m building a cinema room 18x 18 x 8.5 foot ceiling. I was wandering. With regards center speaker. Is it possible to run a centre channel above screen and below screen ( 2 centre channels) to create centre channel imaging , sort of like stereo imaging but going in the up to down direction? I’m trying to create a feeling that the voice is coming from the centre where the characters are actually on the screen. I’m aware of perforated screens where the centre can be placed in the middle behind the speaker but I’m hearing negative things about this and also it reduces the room size. Is it likely that putting speakers in this configuration would cancel each other out ? Also would splitting the RCA cable into 2 channels work ? I’m worried the input signal might somehow be affected. Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated. Great channel BTW
Those are sweet seats. I have the Seatcraft Monterey seats in my theater. The salesman I worked with suggested them over a more expensive seat I was looking at because of the construction of the seat and thicker memory foam, they also have power headrest. They have been holding up.
@@hometheatergurus yeah I am the same height as you so they would work. The seats I currently have are about the same size. I may look into them when I add another row to my theater.
Wouldn't a theater seat that has head support automatically be bad for clean sound reproduction? The head rest would block sound from rear surrounds, possibly side surrounds depending on the seat arrangement and skew the LCR / front wide sound due to bouncing on the head rest no?

They are good for taller guys. I mentioned that near the end of the video. They're a very large chair.
