    Poor Vanessa. To be a sole survivor of a horrific crime which left her in a broken state, physicallly, emotionally, and mentally. That would be an enormous thing for anyone to cope with. She was just a young child. I'm sure the taunting of her school mates was like having people stick their fingers in her fresh wounds.

      It took them way to long to track him down for sure. Unfortunately, if we start prosecuting people who are mentally incompetent and unable to defend themselves, it won't stop with the guilty. A short history lesson in US law will show you that and it will anger you more, from cops framing disabled people to DAs seeking any conviction at all costs and so on. It's not a perfect system by a longshot, but giving DAs the right to put people with dementia on trial would hurt a lot more than it would help.
      Sometimes there is no right answer, only the lesser of two evils. In those cases, we have to trust in something bigger than ourselves and our flawed legal system to make the guilty pay. Mabel deserves justice, and I firmly believe she will ultimately have it.

    • @VioletJoy
      @VioletJoy 2 роки тому

      Well, to be fair, everyone has to make a living and DNA testing is very expensive. I just wish there was a simple way to collect money from citizens who wish to donate, but that would also be very complex and expensive to organize and run. Again, more money. 😢

    • @tetabug3320
      @tetabug3320 2 роки тому

      @@VioletJoy I totally agree that everyone has to make a living. I just don't understand why something so imperative needs to be so expensive. Even the "materials" used to extract DNA are costly. It's absolutely absurd how backlogged DNA testing is most places, if not everywhere, due to lack of money. How many cases could be resolved if DNA testing were cheaper and more readily available? Unfortunately it's not going to get less expensive...but we can hope and dream 😏😏😏

Ewing continues to say his trial wasn’t “fair.” It’s absolutely disgusting that murderous monsters are allowed “life in prison” when their victims are no longer with us. People like Vossen are proof that “Peeping Tom’s” are neither harmless or incapable of committing heinous acts of violence, shame he got classified as mentally unstable and now is free.

    That first story: While this girl may have been as sweet as pie, she wasn't all that innocent if she accepted an invitation into this person's home at that time in the morning to smoke some weed or whatever. There is always danger of something going wrong in that type of situation and she should have known it.

      I have to agree. I am in no way saying this girl deserved what happened to her. She did not. I am only saying that I would not put myself in such dangerous situations.

    Look I know these are bad people committing terrible offenses against their own kind. However it’s a bit unprofessional to call these killers or killer names like “piece of shit” or calling them “cowards” ect. I know there evil people. However you never speak ill of the dead. No matter what they did. They will get there punishment.

      @@candi0826 ex: what if your parents killed someone? Even in a drunk driving accident. Manslaughter. But still a murderer. Would you call them those things? Or what about 2 people love and killed their spouse allegedly. So those 2 could be married. Since divorce in those times were considered in heard of. What about the kids those parents raised and the grand kids? Would they call there family member something like that?This stuff actually happens. And the family is the ones who suffer. The family should be the ones who really get the time on here. Justice for the family.
