    you have the bottles the wrong way round, when the bottle is down it only blows when the propellant is gone, so the bottle must be upside down

    Spray foam works best when can is upside down, in the location you are trying to do, might have to extend the hose on the can, and give it full beans when you spray! pedal to the metal, no half squeezin, full throttle the foam mixes better and expands more, but every day is a school day.... and it is looking ace, keep it up..

    Great work Laura and Dan, if we all knew everything there would be no learning and knowledge gained! As I have said before if homesteading was that easy everyone would be doing it. You are both working towards your own goals of having a homestead that “YOU” made!. “Keep the faith” and continue to look after each other.

    You guys should not used spray foam anyway, it is toxic and shitty to work with, expensive and just not the right kind of material to use when you work on a traditionally build house, always try to use things they are more simple to work with and sometimes you even find them in nature for free and it way more rewarding doing it this way, not criticizing you it is just a well meant comment to remind you why you living in the country, why you choosing a lifestyle you decided on , it is for your future projects a good start to do things in a natural way, it is also important for a healthy planet and healthy way of living, when I look at you and watching your videos you are the right kind of people with your gentle souls, and but love what you do and like you both a lot, greetings from the wilderness in Canada

    Good morning 🌅, Guys, you probably already sorted it, but when dividing your beam/wood, you deduct your thickness of your beans that you are going to insert, so what you do, you had all the thickness of your beams together, then you deduct the total amount of beams from the length of the long beam you’re going to set them in, so just say for sake there’s five beams deduct those five beams from the total length, and then that length what you come up with what is left you then divide that into any beams you push across, I hope you can understand this, France,

    Good morning 🌅, Guys, probably somebody has already mentioned it but the cans are supposed to be used upside down, 🙃, what you doing is actually releasing the gas out of it which propels the foam when it comes out, I know it’s difficult, but the result is only using the can upside down, I have made myself a extension many years ago so I could get the can upside down but away from the ceiling, it is very time-consuming trying to do it correctly, good luck carry on watching, 👀

    Well done on getting the roof on, as you said you wished to be IN and mezzanine up to avoid the higher temperatures in The van… in my experience it is hotter to sleep on a raise platform near the ceiling than on the floor. The heat beats down on the metal/composite roof panels and without ventilation can be hotter up there.

  • @Tumbleweed5150
    @Tumbleweed5150 20 днів тому +1

    I have found that you can't really re-use spray foam, as the foam fills the tube and stops more from coming out. One needs to use all of the foam once started or realize one will either need a new top, (which I'm not sure they sell seperately), or know you'll waste whatever is left in the bottle. Oh...someone else pointed out that one needs to tip the bottle upside down, though I hadn't heard that one before.
