Great work again, and the sound effects are really nice! :) In the 1970's many people thought that ABBA were only in the music business for making lots of "money, money, money". I never thought that to be true, and when you see how they actually lived back then, it was really down-to-earth and humble compared to the lifestyle of US celebrities, even Benny's and Frida's mansion.
That seems to be very true, and visiting these locations and combining it with what they did, and how efficiently they did it, makes you realize it even more. It's all so personal, and truthful. Very happy to read your feedback, and singling out the sound design. Thanks, Ro!

A wonderfully presented video, and so interesting, as always! I don’t think that the car Benny stands against is a Cadillac; Cadillacs tend to be longer and a bit wider, which is why they were viewed as so glamorous by the people of the day. I have absolutely loved this series!! I live in Malmö and I’ve walked through the park in Copenhagen where they filmed the promo for “love isn’t easy” so many times and it’s such a strange experience!! This must have been so interesting to document!!

The work you put into gathering all this informative ABBA related material is absolutely first class, your knowledge of ABBA is second to none. I have read a lot of books written about ABBA and I would love to hear your opinion on some of the books out there on the market.
While gazing into Frida's beautifully strange cat like eye color in the gatefold greatest hits album, I've been bewildered if that was just a museum, or her actual mansion behind her. I loved to pretend it was her's, and I was right!!! yes!! After all these years. :) Thank you!!! awesome job!!! I would be lost with out these video's! Not very far. It's a bridge, Lidingö-bron (Lidingö-bridge). I guess that by "central Stockholm" he meant Stockholm proper. Several places closely associated with the town Stockholm are still their own communes, with their own politicians. (Lidingö, Solna, Sundbyberg, and others.)

I was referring to Central Stockholm, because the district Södermalm (where you find the apartment complex) is a district in central Stockholm. I'm going to Stockholm at the end of August, and I'll be staying at the Pop House hotel where Abba the Museum is situated. Next door to Grona Lund, where they used to appear millions of times on stage in their early days. I'm also planning on visiting Skeppsholmen, where Benny has his Mono Studio.
And what about Benny and Christina Grönvall's place where they lived together and had two children. After all, it's thanks to her Benny could spread his wings and start a huge career while she raised their children.

Oh, so beautiful, isn't it?? I enjoy taking you around a lot, and I'm happy you like it. Yes, it is indeed a genuine demo of "If It Wasn't For The Nights". A snippet was broadcast in the 1999 documentary "The Winner Takes It All: The ABBA Story". It's played from a demo cassette tape by Anders Eljas, who did the string arrangements. However, as far as I discerned, later releases have this scene dubbed with the regular studio version, a pity! The photo session for "The Name Of The Game" was taken at Drottningholms slott. I think to remember you asked about it before - you seem to be possessed with it, haha :-) We'll go there, it's a location for another time!

He was very nice to us and especially my mom who has been a fan since '75 so it was one of her best days here on earth. Located at 873 2nd Ave. S in Tierra Verde, the waterfront home was built in 1982, and was designed in the Swedish Longhouse style, which means there's two identical wings with two bedrooms, two baths and shared rooms in the middle. Perfect for a band featuring two married couples. For years, the home has been known locally as the "ABBA House," and while there's no hard evidence that the disco supergroup ever actually owned it, or even stayed there for that matter, there are quite a few clues that suggest the rumors might actually be true. According to property records, the lot was initially purchased in 1982 by Andante Music, Ltd., which has ties to ABBA's former business manager John Spalding.

Yes. Viggso is the island. Both couples plus their manager Stig Anderson had Summer houses on the island and the little writing hut where many songs were written is still there too. There are boats from Central Stockholm that stop at many of these islands, including Viggso, probably once or twice a day in each direction. So while the houses are private, it is possible to spend a few hours on the island and see the writing hut and some places where ABBA were photographed.

Could anyone please tell me the 'name of the game' they are playing in the laser disc song of the same name? Drove my boyfriend crazy with curousity to know. He's past now. Looks like an American game named 'Sorry'. I've even asked people I've worked with from Sweden- nobody knows. 500 bed hospital. Any time I heard that they were going home for vacation to Sweden I would ask. That's 24years I worked there. I'm 67 now. My sister wants it So-o-o badly. It would be a great surprise to give it to her for christmas. Her birthday has already past.. Thank you in advance!! She was working for Western airlines, well all of the airlines in the kitchen making in- flight meals for everyone that flew through Anchorage, Alaska. She missed your concerts in the western states or california. Due to her work. I was in the Air Force and missed it as well.

I wore an ABBA shirt to a supermarket years ago and some old guy stopped me to tell me that he worked on the house in the early 80's and met them. Said how nice they were. I've know about they house for 15+ years know...my brother told me about it. Never knew where it was until I joined Reddit a year ago and asked the locals. Got several responses. Even got a response from the son of the people who own(ed) the house. Went to see it and took some pics too. lol

May be the photo with Benny sitting on a car that looks like a Cadillac is arranged. One of the greatest hits of the mentioned Hep Stars band was "Cadillac".
Was trying to figure out which of theses houses was the one pictured with the Mickey Mouse image on its gable and with a swimming pool. Might possibly have been Bjorn & Agnetha's third house on Lidingo. The house had previously been owned by a clothing company that had a image rights deal with Disney.

A lovely and informative video of the ABBA members residence’s in the early years I do love the large Villa Frida and Benny once owned very grand and gracious 😀 I think the pink colour you mentioned is in fact the colour of Frida and Prince Ruzzo formal home in Mallorca overlooking the sea in Port Andraxt as I have seen it and it’s colour was a coral with pastel pink predominantly 😉 I’m really enjoying these videos your doing brill thanks 😊

Oh, so beautiful, isn't it?? I enjoy taking you around a lot, and I'm happy you like it. Yes, it is indeed a genuine demo of "If It Wasn't For The Nights". A snippet was broadcast in the 1999 documentary "The Winner Takes It All: The ABBA Story". It's played from a demo cassette tape by Anders Eljas, who did the string arrangements. However, as far as I discerned, later releases have this scene dubbed with the regular studio version, a pity! The photo session for "The Name Of The Game" was taken at Drottningholms slott. I think to remember you asked about it before - you seem to be possessed with it, haha :-) We'll go there, it's a location for another time!

As for T NOTG photo session,truth is iam lil 'obsessed' cause it's so shiny beautiful and i can't help it.I remember me being a child first time i saw this pic printed in a teenage magazine cover i got stunned by their happy sunny smiles and the kindness they reflected.I couldn't stop looking at it lol!Also i liked that GHV2 inner sleeve.It was the first time i listened to SNC.It was a double pleasure having GGG too.1979.Didn't like the cover photo,though.I would have chosen something more 'festive' maybe from the Wembley shots....Just saying...

Tuesday the 16th of August i met Björn Ulvaeus in Tivoli Copenhagen. He was very nice to us and especially my mom who has been a fan since '75 so it was one of her best days here on earth.
He asked us questions about our Holiday there and talked to us while he is world famous, he also asked us about 'Voyage'.

A home that in St Petersburg, Florida is on the market owned by Andante Music Ltd between 1982-1986.
Located at 873 2nd Ave. S in Tierra Verde, the waterfront home was built in 1982, and was designed in the Swedish Longhouse style, which means there's two identical wings with two bedrooms, two baths and shared rooms in the middle. Perfect for a band featuring two married couples.
For years, the home has been known locally as the "ABBA House," and while there's no hard evidence that the disco supergroup ever actually owned it, or even stayed there for that matter, there are quite a few clues that suggest the rumors might actually be true.
According to property records, the lot was initially purchased in 1982 by Andante Music, Ltd., which has ties to ABBA's former business manager John Spalding.

Yes. Viggso is the island. Both couples plus their manager Stig Anderson had Summer houses on the island and the little writing hut where many songs were written is still there too. There are boats from Central Stockholm that stop at many of these islands, including Viggso, probably once or twice a day in each direction. So while the houses are private, it is possible to spend a few hours on the island and see the writing hut and some places where ABBA were photographed.

I wore an ABBA shirt to a supermarket years ago and some old guy stopped me to tell me that he worked on the house in the early 80's and met them. Said how nice they were. I've know about they house for 15+ years know...my brother told me about it. Never knew where it was until I joined Reddit a year ago and asked the locals. Got several responses. Even got a response from the son of the people who own(ed) the house. Went to see it and took some pics too. lol

May be the photo with Benny sitting on a car that looks like a Cadillac is arranged. One of the greatest hits of the mentioned Hep Stars band was "Cadillac".
Was trying to figure out which of theses houses was the one pictured with the Mickey Mouse image on its gable and with a swimming pool. Might possibly have been Bjorn & Agnetha's third house on Lidingo. The house had previously been owned by a clothing company that had a image rights deal with Disney.
