Yes he’s the most exciting humble guy I’ve watched since Chrome. I could litchrally watch him talk about mushrooms all day, even tried out one of his recipes. He’s just a decent fellow!
@@harrypottah8889 he is your right, wether your into fishing mushrooms or travel you can just connect. I really hope this channel gives him what he is seeking in life.
I think your explanation of the joy of fine dining at approximately 9.00 was the best i have heard. Also taking photos and keeping a journal of your adventures ensures you will never forget
Alex is a truly incredible person. Alex made me motivated and made me explore nature and start fishing . Love the videos Alex and keep up the amazing work xx
Honestly when you and your brother decided to go different ways, I thought it was a bad decision. Clearly I was wrong. I’m glad to see you doing what you really want to and having success from it still, as for Carl. Didn’t think I’d like your new content but every video you put out is very entertaining. Btw it was very nice to see you catch a couple carp 😄😄 best of luck mate, looking forward to what the future brings you.
I love your storytelling. It`s cool how you start telling a story and then show clips of it instead of just a vlog where things happen in order. It creates a nice time warp.
This is without a doubt, my favorite youtube channel ive come across. You are such an enjoyable person and its been a pleasure to watch you and catch up on your old videos. God Bless you, Alex. Much love.
Well done Alex, your smashing this. So cool you're meeting lots of new people, this is the only way to really travel, we would love to meet some of these people too, through your vlogging. So happy you are getting a bit of income from the channel and its viable... at some point the algorithm will catch on and increase recommendations and the channel will go to the moon. Its very watchable, entertaining and its awesome to watch you growing and developing through the experience of travelling. Happy to see you enjoying fishing as a casual activity, its so much more fun when it's a thing you do for fun than an obsession you just do.... I've been there! Keep up the good work, and enjoy living!! Thank You for sharing it with us!
Another incredible episode Alex. I’m truly loving your channel - from bee-keeping, to fishing, to travel, to fine-dining (you’ve inspired me to give that a go!!) to foraging. You make ALL of it fascinating, with your down-to-earth attitude and honesty. Cannot wait for the next episode! Thanks so much for sharing! xx
You are such a down to earth and likable guy. Even sharing some of your "stupid" mistakes with us and being so honest about it. Mistakes are never stupid though Alex, life is all about learning and growing and that isn't possible without challenges and mistakes along the way. So instead of calling it a stupid mistake you can rephase it saying " I had a learning experience yesterday" and this is what I learned about it. I 'm in my 50's now and if there is one thing I have learned is that it is really important about how we talk to and about ourselves. Give yourself a break and just enjoy the wonderful journey you are on Alex !! And if you would mind, I would like to make a few suggestions... 1) Use affiliate marketing to make more money by placing product links in the description of your videos. Maybe promoting products that you use in your van. Anything from blankets, non-electric coffee makers, pans , computer equipment to healthy vitamins and food that you are eating , like the mushrooms you so enjoy. And as your channel gets more popular, some companies will send you free products or gear for you to keep and mention (promote) on your channel. 2) If you could find a way to drop down your desk/counter at night so you could unfold a bigger cushion/mattress to lay over the top of that counter that would give you way more space to stretch out, being as tall as you are you need that extra space. Then in the morning, pull that counter back up to be your work space. Could be as easy as a lock in place method. Maybe there are some viewers out there willing to help you accomplish that. 3) Make videos about the food you're making. Foraging in the woods for plants and mushrooms or whatever you find and then sharing the wonderful recipes you make with them. And just a little secret, recipes are super popular with millions of views. Check some of them out and you will see !! 4) And last but not least. If you would like to have more time for adventures instead of video editing (unless you enjoy that too) you could hire someone on Fiver.com to do the editing for you. Sometimes you can find someone reasonably priced too ! Also you could ask people watching your videos if they know of anyone they have used on Fiver , so that at least you would have recommendations to go by. Whatever you decide to do, whatever path you take, I hope you enjoy every moment of your journey Alex !!
Good morning Alex. I love watching you talk about your new adventure and that you are continuing to learn and explore. You have been fearless in trying new things and sharing your learnings with us. As Bob said, you are very watchable!!! You have such a sweet innocence about life, and that is why others are attracted you your site. To any sponsors reading the comments, this wonderful young man is worth investing in.
There's something so endearing about you, Alex; I love your ingenuity. Your honesty and simplicity make you really special. Your spontaneity also makes me laugh. It makes me want to give you a big warm hug 🤗 I wish you all the good in this world, and beyond 🙏🏻
hey mate yr matress is foam i think you need to put a liner like a woolen blanket under the sheet it will breathe better and no more yellow sheets plus better sleep!
A good thing for heating would be an infrared panel, since the place is small the panel can be relatively small and you can mount it on a ceiling or the side wall. Great video as always!
Alex there is a frustrated Chef waiting to get out from inside you. I came to you and brothers joint channel quite late and suddenly you were parting to explore different dreams. I always believed from day one this was the right thing to do because challenging ourselves is how we grow as human beings. You have gone outside your comfort zone and taken us with you on this intimate self awakening within yourself. We as viewers have seen your growth with every new video you post. It’s a privilege to be a part of this special journey of enlightenment that you are on.
It's been few months since I started to follow, but watching your amazing beekeping video made me to watch a bit from your travels. Was nice to see, that you also visited a bit of our Czech country. :-)
As a child, in the early 80s', my family traveled around Europe in a VW camper van. My mother and father, my sister, and me. We took mini trips of 4-8 days to all sorts of places, much like you are. I am so grateful for having experienced the camping life while seeing so much history and beauty in Europe. I am sure that experiencing many different cultures made me a better person as well. At least I hope so. Cheers Alex!
Happy to see you learning and growing :) I'll leave you with a saying which I picked up many years ago. "Comfort zone is a beautiful place, but nothing ever grows there." Cheers, friend
Put clothes on the dashboard on in the cabin in sunshine. Will dry faster. Keep a window cracked slightly at night to prevent condensation and prevent damp. Get some solar lights and install them inside the van for free energy at night (put the solar panel on the dash to charge). Cover all glass with cheap foam at night to keep heat in. Wear two pairs of socks to keep blood warm in your lower legs. Never let your feet get wet. Keep your hands warm and dry. Wear many layers (trap air between the layers for warmth). Never let your drinking water get cold. And always keep a sticker of a snitzel on the back of your phone.
Really enjoying the videos mate. Followed you and Carl for years and didn't think i'd be as invested in what you're doing as I am. For me personally (23 y/o, also called Alex lol), since you made this channel, I moved out my house into a small container type thing, i'm travelling into Europe every month and will be heading off grid in snowdonia for a 5 days in a hut. Most likely subconsciously influenced by your adventures but what you said at the end is perfect - push your limits and you'll learn a lot, about yourself and otherwise. And I already feel so much better for it. Go as far as you can and I can't wait to see where life takes you :)
Just subscribed. Great content and attitude - you are enjoying life and we get to watch it. Your content is drama-free (no click baits) and shows us how great humanity is when you meet up with strangers. You make it look easy (I’d be worrying about everything) but most of all you appreciate it all. Keep making the content and get those sponsorships! 😊
I am looking to put a 5kw heater in my van so I can use it in winter. It is old and has just come out of van hospital after a very long stay, I think I am going to get all in one so most of work putting it together has already been done. Love your videos keep up the good work and I am learning more about mushrooms, Thank you. Michelle
Loving your adventure; It must be a most liberating, exciting, and scary experience living in the moment! The content is awesome and I can't wait for the next episode :)
I’d find living in a camper perfect. Im a avid hiker and wild camper and live out of my backpack for multiple days and I find that nice enough. I started watching you and your brothers fishing videos years ago. And I too at the time was into fishing a lot but with my younger brother. But I always noticed you was always into more than just fishing. Like when you used to go bird watching. And as I’ve got older if found my self start showing less interest in fishing and fall in love with nature and the outdoors a lot more. I just kinda sore you in me a lot. It’s cool that you found your true passions in life a lot earlier than I did. Keep it up dude 🏴👍🏻
Tansporters are okay but you amy aswell drool over a van with a high roof, they are just as long, just as easy to park and drive but you can actually stand up inside!
And for anyone that might need a little boost today. I am essentially homeless. Living and working in a small garden shed. Last month, a piece of my work was featured and pinned to TikTok's own profile. That didn't change my physical or finamcial situation, but mentally, it was an incredible boost to my confidence in myself and my abilities, and reassured me that although its not an ideal situation, with the right ethics and hard work, anything is possible.
Alex, I’m a new fan of your channel. Your videos are so pleasant to watch and I’m learning so many things from your journey! Wishing you safe travels. 🎉
Alex based on your talk about living life on the van, sounds like the adventure of meeting, doing and going is living life but the experiences or limitations of the van mean in that sense you are surviving as its a minmum. I'm thinking more the food, cleaning suitation. Amazing you are doing it and great to watch.... your life or survival is hung by the skills of your editing and video capture!
I lived in my Vauxhall combo for two years it was not converted insulated or anything it was cold and uncomfortable and I miss it that I’m going to it again but in a properly converted camper van
I would suggest getting a 12V heated blanket, it helps a lot with heating, doesn't use much electricity and can be programmed to only turn on for a few minutes each hour or two, all the best
hey alex maybe buy this Clear Vinyl Magnetic Curtain for your back door when open it will help stop the rain getting inside and gives you abit more shelter hope this helps pal 👍
you are so calm relaxing person, so your content is also same. unlike many who make such a videos, but you can feel agresivnes in them. Great edit aalso
If you simmered the mushrooms in water for a bit, allowing them to cook and then the water to boil down, off then adding the water for the soup etc, you would get a much more mushroom-y tasting broth. :) It takes a bit longer, but it's much more flavourful and you're guaranteed your mushrooms are cooked through.
Enjoy the time. It will be memories to tell your kids an grandkids about hopefully!!!! I would have loved to seen some of the wwll sites along the way...
Oh, I have the ecoflow river pro and 2 x 110 panels on the roof. I was able to easily charge my little foldable city electric bike, tablet, ereader, phone and fridge. Is nice as you say not all the time driving. It can be an option, just be sure you can charge it, shouldn't be more than 750watt. I am gonna add the extra lithium battery and use it for my house off grid. Park 4 night awesome app, is how I found great free parking everywhere. River baths, amazing! People always say oh my gosh how do you go in mountain water it is so cold. But trust me nothing like it in the world! In midi Pyrenee looking at all the mountains around with mist and crystal clear water. I am always asked how I have such long beautiful hair, river water is the best!!
Hey Alex when you drive turn on your heater and put your clothes on the dash board or around the front they will dry pretty quick . Vienna travel card 17 euro for a week what a deal gotta love vienna 🙂
Brilliant video again Alex, I think you do need a bit bigger van but your doing ok at the moment that could come later, look forward to the next video, Thank you, 👍👍
I’m glad that you are having a fun time on your travels and meeting interesting people. The fine dining experience looked interesting, but I don’t think it’s for me. I like the way you interact with strangers and trust them, but I’m sure at some point you will have a bad experience. Keep doing what you enjoy and stay safe. Oh, and also, try rolling your clothes up instead of folding, less creases 😊
Having watched most of your fishing videos with your bro and enjoying every moment, its great to see you doing your own thing and putting out great content 😁 your going to be such a inspiration to many so keep up the good work!!!! i wish you all the best for the future and cant wait for your next upload
It's comes down to what you need. I am a truck (lorry) driver in the states. I am in the middle of a 3 day sort, cover your needs before your wants. Also yes on a bike. Love what you are doing kid. Stay safe and happy trails. Videos are getting better as well.
im glad that i joined your story from early on, Alex. its been really cool to see you grow and get you where you are today (in terms of physical location and life lol)! love watching your content!
About the visa stuff, you can actually come to Romania, is not in Schengen area and you will definitely love to spent allot of weeks here, allot of rural areas filled with tradition + mountains and cabbins everywhere. Pretty much the discount Switzerland. Safe travels!
....As for van deco, you have been to eat art, transfer your fave and happiest experiences in a montage-collage style on the wood....perhaps not the food. Ps, many thanks, great vid, stay healthy, happy and wise.
Non-Schengen countries in the EU are Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. Non-EU and non-Schengen countries include Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. This should be enough to stay on the European mainland and comply with the 90/180 day restriction.
Life isn't about having a big house and lots of "stuff" the last 2 years have taught us life is short go out and experience the world I came across your channel completely by accident no I love your videos not sure how long your trip is will you be able to go to a Christmas market in any of the country's u r visiting, get a washing line for the back of the van small length of string and 2 hooks hanging things will go the dry quicker
That is a big bin for such a small van! :) So exciting times meeting up with all those people Alex. Really enjoying watching your European adventures! :)
Stick some hooks up from side to side then get some sort of cordage, maybe have a go at making your own out of some natural materials, so as when your driving you can hang your clothes up to dry while your going from destination to destination. Great work tho and really interesting content. What an amazing adventure
It doesn’t matter what content you put out, your just such a great watchable guy. Wish you all the best of luck and look forward to the next video!

Definitely Alex cannot fail, he could talk about paint drying and l would want to watch it! 👌🏽
Since the van build and being on the road, your confidence has grown massively :)

Alexism of the Episode: “Look, I just found a piece of pasta” -> Proceeds to bite the clearly uncooked pasta -> “Oh”. 😂😂😂
I love how you call it an Alexism 😂
I was actually laughing out loud 😂 And I thought!! Lol o would've done the same!!!
😂😂😂😂
Watching you from your early days, you really did have a good nack for film making and now you truly have mastered it. Great video
Really enjoying the videos mate. Followed you and Carl for years and didn't think i'd be as invested in what you're doing as I am. Go as far as you can and I can't wait to see where life takes you :)
Best of luck with everything Alex :)
Don't think anyone else could make a vid like that and make it so watchable!! Keep doing what ya do
Sounds like your having an amazing time in your vanlife journey , your living my dream have an amazing time :) exploring and being you Alex
Just subscribed. Great content and attitude - you are enjoying life and we get to watch it. The way you discribed the restaurant experience was very telling. There is a chef hiding in you for sure!
Or it became a commercial when he had a 30% discount😝😏

I’d find living in a camper perfect. Im a avid hiker and wild camper and live out of my backpack for multiple days and I find that nice enough.
I started watching you and your brothers fishing videos years ago. And I too at the time was into fishing a lot but with my younger brother.

I just kinda sore you in me a lot. It’s cool that you found your true passions in life a lot earlier than I did. Keep it up dude 🏴👍🏻
Im loving these longer videos. Thanks for the entertainment
Always a good day when you post Alex!
Tansporters are okay but you amy aswell drool over a van with a high roof, they are just as long, just as easy to park and drive but you can actually stand up inside!
I live and work in a garden shed. Its definitely possible 😊
Thank you! :)
whilst in Europe you should try and get yourself some wild boar and make yourself a hearty stew with mushrooms!!
That sounds good. Maybe I’ll do that when I’m in Croatia!
Alex based on your talk about living life on the van, sounds like the adventure of meeting, doing and going is living life but the experiences or limitations of the van mean in that sense you are surviving as its a minmum. Yay ! It's 2 a.m. here... couldn't sleep...turned on my tablet... seen the notification for your newest video. 🙋♀️🇨🇦💗
👏 living the dream and taking us with you, love it
I would suggest getting a 12V heated blanket, it helps a lot with heating, doesn't use much electricity and can be programmed to only turn on for a few minutes each hour or two, all the best
instead of taking notes, you should make a daily diary to keep better track. and when u are old you can read it
I discovered your channel today, and I wanna say that I really like the content. I really wanna do that trip too oneday. Keep up the great work ❤️🥰
Thanks for watching!
Why did I wait until now,75 ish ,to see Alex's adventures ? What fun he is having !
did you take a tent? surely sometimes you could throw up a tent might shake things up a bit at certain stops
hey alex maybe buy this Clear Vinyl Magnetic Curtain for your back door when open it will help stop the rain getting inside and gives you abit more shelter hope this helps pal 👍
Good to see you fishing again good luck with your channel and travels
Thumbs up for bike and bike rack👍 Also, maybe set up a little washing line in the van for drying on the go!😂👍
you are so calm relaxing person, so your content is also same. unlike many who make such a videos, but you can feel agresivnes in them. Great edit aalso
You can get a small deisel heater.for not a lot of money, tuck it under a cupboard or bed, will plumb into your fuel tank

I really miss you and Carls fishing videos, I literally grew up watching you both. Love the episode
I’m really looking forward to all of your videos about this journey.
Could perhaps get some hooks up in the back, can use them to hang washing on a line or just hook a coat up

Oh just as I finish my night shift.. Nice and early today Alex..
Hey Alex when you drive turn on your heater and put your clothes on the dash board or around the front they will dry pretty quick . Vienna travel card 17 euro for a week what a deal gotta love vienna 🙂
Alex is re introducing the concept of the grand tour of Europe from the 18th century, loving it.
Thanks!!! :)
It's comes down to what you need. I am a truck (lorry) driver in the states. I am in the middle of a 3 day sort, cover your needs before your wants. Also yes on a bike. Love what you are doing kid. Stay safe and happy trails. Videos are getting better as well.
you can go to Poland. We have a lot of special foods that you can try
im glad that i joined your story from early on, Alex. its been really cool to see you grow and get you where you are today (in terms of physical location and life lol)! love watching your content!
Go on alex !!! Your doing incredibly well looking after yourself out there good look on your next chapter lad
The Michelin restaurant food, wow!
As a decoration i could recomend buying something alike polaroid go and stick photos from nice places to the wall. Looks stunning after a while
Genuinely love your videos - very soothing. Great editing and directing. Keep them coming.
Great video Alex, keep living life.
There’s not mush-room in that van!
You need a 12v diesel heater in your van
Lovely times darl, what an adventure 😊
Non-Schengen countries in the EU are Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, and Cyprus. Non-EU and non-Schengen countries include Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro, and Serbia. This should be enough to stay on the European mainland and comply with the 90/180 day restriction.
Enjoy living your dream.. We enjoy watching it for some reason...😊👌..
Splendid as always Alex
Thumbs up for the Schnitzel and fox sticker! I totally get it :D! And that's not just any river, that's the legendary Vltava :)
Great update Alex 👍🏻 you should get a night heater fitted they have them in trucks very safe and they use a small amount of diesel
Living the dream ... Good work
Life isn't about having a big house and lots of "stuff" the last 2 years have taught us life is short go out and experience the world I came across your channel completely by accident no I love your videos not sure how long your trip is will you be able to go to a Christmas market in any of the country's u r visiting, get a washing line for the back of the van small length of string and 2 hooks hanging things will go the dry quicker
Fit a diesel heater for approx £90 off eBay or 8-900 fitted from planar either one will be the best money you spend on your van :)
Sturm is called Bourru in France and for obvious reasons is only available for a short time during the fermentation process.
That is a big bin for such a small van! :) So exciting times meeting up with all those people Alex. Really enjoying watching your European adventures! :)
Go to Slovenia. You will find so many green/blueish rivers flowing through the Slovenian alps. So Beautiful.
A lid for your saucepan will save gas
Stick some hooks up from side to side then get some sort of cordage, maybe have a go at making your own out of some natural materials, so as when your driving you can hang your clothes up to dry while your going from destination to destination. Great work tho and really interesting content. What an amazing adventure
