In New York, mysterious radioactive ooze has mutated four sewer turtles into talking, upright-walking, crime-fighting ninjas. The intrepid heroes -- Michelangelo (Robbie Rist), Donatello (Corey Feldman), Raphael (Josh Pais) and Leonardo (Brian Tochi) -- are trained in the Ninjutsu arts by their rat sensei, Splinter. When a villainous rogue ninja, who is a former pupil of Splinter, arrives and spreads lawlessness throughout the city, it's up to the plucky turtles to stop him.

I do hope your doing all 3 from the 90s. And not just this 1st one.
TMNT 2- Shredder revenge
@Gamer97704 Depends who you ask. I personaly really enjoyed it. Always have, partially due to its setting. I still have a Leo figure in his time period outfit for that movie. I can see why people dislike ot though, they thought it would be just as hype as the 1st and have the music of the 2nd, But had a different feel. But anyone whos watched all of the 1987 cartoon should be able to appreciate it, since there were way worse storylines and settings in some of those episodes. (and yes I do own the entire series, all 3 90s love actuon movies, various figures, the collector dvd/cd carrying case, and a light up ooze container) Though admittidly have only read a few of the comics, but they are in my must read list. But as with all movies i think it will depend on the person and perspective. I personally cant stand any movies past the animated TMNT and it took a long time to even kinda like that one. I just feel that for him to be able to truly judge the newer films he should watch ALL of them. And instead of asking me if it sucked why not watch rewatch for yourself? Then you can have your own opinion based on your own experience.
I know ive seen reactors react to the 1st one and hate it but love the second. While other people swear that only the 1st one is good. Ive also seen family, freinds, and reactors watch movies I love and they fislike for whatever reasons and vice versa. Though if theres a a movie or show I personally cant stand (such as GOT) I simply skip those reactions and watch the ones I do like.
But like I said I was just hoping hed do all 3 for the full experience, plus havent seen any reactors do the 3rd one sadly. Just as ive never or rarely seen rea tors do Better Off Dead, Surf Ninjas, Twin Sitters, Heavyweights, Good Burger, etc...
Anyway I hope you have a wonderful day.
@Gamer97704 Absolutely
No one cares about the sequels after two...
Unless they have shit taste. Especially the "michael.Bay" ones.
It's amazing how well this movie holds up. It's probably more well regarded now than it was back in the 90's. Also, the suits and puppetry in the first two movies are unmatched, in my opinion. The tech and skill that went into this is incredible. The Jim Henson Company went above and beyond for the Turtle movies.
That's because in the 3rd movie the puppetry was done by another company.
Ironically Jim Henson did not wanna work on this film because he thought it was too violent despite him making Wilkon's Coffee Commercials that are ultra violent with the main puppet killing his "friend" over and over again.
It’s incredible how well this movie still holds up after all these years
I still consider this to be THE defacto Ninja Turtles movie, even to this day.
Way better than the newer ones!
I’m a little biased because I’m a 90’s guy, but the later TMNT films do pale in comparison to the older ones.
Rise of the tmnt movie was fantastic I don’t know what you’re talking about
I wonder how Mutant Mayhem will compare? But until then, I do agree. (Note: I haven't seen the Rise movie)
@@loginyes3745Rise of tmnt was trash
@@ethenstokes7608 are you saying that because it wasn’t what you grew up with and is different? or do you think it was wholeheartedly bad
To this day, this TMNT film has a special place in my nostalgic memories from the 90’s! It’s still entertaining to me as an adult.😁 I’ve always found it remarkable to see Jim Henson’s work with the turtle costumes and Splinter.
13:08 The reason the dude in the background is holding his arm was in a deleted versiion of this scene where the Foot attacks a sitting Shredder and he cuts the dude's arm in one of his moves.
You can watch part of that scene here:

This movie will always be a part of me...
I was just a little kid when I first started collecting turtle stuff, Comics, figures, and trade cards, as well as many other things.. I remember one day I came home to find that my mother had thrown out every action figure and card I had, as well as most of my comics.. She replaced them with a phone and a fish tank.. She said I was getting too old for kid toys, and that I would grow out of them any way.. I was about 9... So when the movie was released I was the first one there on the first day it was released to theaters.. I collected some of the figures later on, but I never had a collection that was even close to my first.. I have almost every cartoon movie made on tape, several copies of all three live action movies, and this one on DVD... I never grew out of the turtles, and I know I never will.. I know all three movies word for word... When every one grows up, a part of them, a big part dies, and we forget what we loved so much as children.. Our Imagination dies, and an adult is born.. I simply refuse to let my heros go.. While the years pass and the turtles are forgotten, they will forever be a reminder to me of the times I could spend hours on end with nothing but myself and my action figures that came to life right in front of me with nothing more than my imagination....
Did you know? The muppet creater Jim Henson help TMNT 1990 movie to bring the animatronic puppet to life. And year later TMNT 2 The Secret of Ooze came, the opening shows in memory of Jim Henson.
My brother passed away unexpectedly in 2021 and its been very hard. And I was thinking of him today, and this pops up in my subscriptions and I feel like it was him checking in on me. This was our FAVORITE film to watch together growing up. Thank you Tim for the reaction. ❤ I immediately smiled. Keep up the great work! ❤
Whoa...that's a heavy loss there
I'm very sorry for your loss.
My sister died THIS year.
Does it ever get any easier?
Fun Facts: The turtle suits are made by the Jim Henson Company, the guys that made the Muppets and Sesame Street
Splinter's puppeteer was Kavin Clash the original voice of Elmo from Sesame Street
Also Jim Henson himself didn't like this movie due to being violent and I gotta say he's kind of a hypocrite since back then he had Muppets being shot at, crushed, eaten, and blown up
First movie I ever saw in theaters, my grandma took me and my cousins to go see it and I was just 4 years old, but a massive TMNT fan!
The Turtles are named what they are because the creators, Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, couldn't think of any authentic Japanese names. So they decided to go with Renaissance artists instead.
To clarify as to why April was fired, her boss' son was just arrested and he agreed to get her to stop criticizing the police response in return for them going easy on him. When she didn't do this, he was forced to fire her. At the end of the movie when it all came out, he re-hired her probably to save face and also to not look like an ass since they helped to find his son.
Well, actually after the 90-s live-action Trilogy. There is a animated movie called TMNT (2007) Consider to check it out. Because it has some connection from the previous movie.
I really wish we had these kind of Ninja Turtles movies again. The look of the practical costumes still hold up really well, and it's genuinely impressive how the stunt performers are able to do those types of martial arts moves in such bulky suits. I also like that although there's humor, the tone is still dark enough to keep things from getting too silly.
I couldn't disagree more
@@Therealones745Nobody cares.
Both the stunt performers and the actors in the suits are real.martial artists.
In fact- Keno from 2 is the non stunt actor in the Donatello suit throughout this first film.
Corey Feldman only does the voice.
30+ years later and I'm still reciting lines along with the movie. 😂
This movie is pure late 80's early 90's cheesiness & I love it. So much nostalgia. I was 11 & my brother was 9 when this movie came out & we were obsessed with the 80's TMNT cartoon. We watched it all the time. So much that I'm amazed we didn't wear-out the VHS tape.
Gotta add, Jim Henson's costume/puppets for the Turtles & Splinter was amazing. No CGI. I love that. Practical effects have something you can't get with CGI.
Oh please most practical effects are outdated for a reason old man, those suits were like torture for the actors.
@@Therealones745ok zoomer all modern CGI still looks faker than any practical effects
@@Therealones745 You can use that same reasoning with CGI. Like companies trying to put actors out of a job by replacing them with CGI characters.
I also don't like the term 'outdated'. I would say 'dated' is more appropriate.
One thing you need to remember, especially when watching older movies(before CGI was available &/or affordable) is that, it was all that existed. There was nothing else. All of those effects had to be figured out & physically created.
So when you watch older movies or tv shows, you can't compare them with what we have available today. You have to always keep in mind what they could do back then. & judge it by those standards.
1 last thing. Something most younger people seem to forget when they see older technology(practical effects, black & white) and start to criticizing it for being 'outdated' is that, without that 'older technology', you wouldn't have the technology you have today. In 20 or so years,, kids will look at 'Your Technology' & say the exact same thing. That it's 'Old/Outdated. So please, try to remember that.
I cracked up when Chuck left the message on April's machine and Casey responded with "You could say that again, Chuck".😂
Even tho Ninja Turtles had tons of cartoons and merchandise everywhere, apparently no major production company would agree to make this movie. So this was an independent group and thus this was the highest grossing independent film until The Blair Witch Project
My two favorite parts where Mikey ordering the pizza on the phone and demanding no anchovies and Raph running after Casey in the street.
My favorite is Raphael vs Casey Jones I love when Casey Jones says:Cricket
Raphael:Cricket?Nobody understands cricket
@@SilasOsterwalder-yx3tj was he not wrong though?
The sequels were toned down because of parents complaints. This is by far the best Turtle movie. Closer to the comics, really well acted and pretty dark. I was lucky enough to have seen this in the theatre as a kid. Corey Feldman was great as Donny, and one of the reasons he's my favourite Turtle. Giving the staff to April, and dummying dudes on the skateboard are total G moves.
Master Tatsu: "Never lower your eyes to an enemy!". Mr. Miyagi: "Eye, always look eye!". Martial Arts teaching at its finest. Also, Sam Rockwell in this...classic!
The comics that started the franchise were a parody of several 80s comic book trends, especially of Daredevil (which had industrial-waste-provided superpowers and a ninja crime syndicate). But it wasn't the comics that made TMNT wildly popular among kids, since the comics were quite violent and very much targeted at edgy teens. Instead, they licensed a cartoon series that took the characters and story in a much more lighthearted, kid-friendly direction; there was also an arcade video game based on it, which was extremely popular at the time. This movie was significantly grittier than the cartoon, so there was some initial resistance from kids like me who had been watching the cartoon for two seasons and playing the video game. But it turned out to be very good, even if it wasn't what we expected.
There’s an animated TMNT movie that was made in 2007, so don’t forget to check that one out too.
And it has Chris Evans is in it.
He is the voiced of Casey Jones,
so I think this was his very first voice acting.
@@miguelalonso9460Yup
This movie is pretty good. For the first movie based on the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, this movie sure did deliver what we wanted to see. Cowabunga! 😆🐢🍕
Grew up with this one in the 90s, definitely a nostalgic movie for me
Dude, I’m so happy that you’re gonna react to one of my favorite franchises. Grew up watching the 2003 cartoons and they were amazing. With good action, storyline, and characters.
The reason Aprils boss fired her was because he feared for her safety, since her working on the story is drawing the foots attention to her.
Didn't he fire her because she ragged on the cops incompetent investigation when he promised the chief that he would get her to lay off?
He fired her because the Chief had leverage on his son who was just arrested, not because he feared for her safety. Firing her probably brought more public attention to the story, since one of his best reporters who was covering it was silenced.
I saw this in theaters when I was 8 and was so hooked! I used to collect the trading cards for this movie that came out around the same time as well. Great video, Tim!
There’s also another animated movie called TMNT made 2007 you should check that one out too I love that one from my childhood
The turtle costumes were created by Jim Henson's Creature Shop in London, Jim Henson said that the creatures were the most advanced that he ever worked with, the Puppeteers who worked on this movie their names are David Rudman, David Forman, Martin P Robinson, Kevin Clash and Mark Wilson they work with the muppets on Sesame Street
This movie follows the story of the original comics, which was pretty gritty, but obviously they made some changes.
The original comics where also kinda/basically parodying Daredevil - There's a ninja clan called The Hand, here it's The Foot. Matt Murdock's trainer is named Stick, here it's Splinter.
"Sid" as in he's wearing a Sid Vicious-shirt (he was the bass player of the punk band Sex Pistols). The word you're looking for is "snitch" =P
The guy offering cigarettes is Sam Rockwell in an early role. The 2nd movie is more cheesy and light-hearted, but it's still a fun watch. The 3rd movie is not worth watching, but you can still watch it If you want. I love this movie, I still prefer it than the Michael Bay-movies (I know you're gonna watch them, but let me tell you, they suck!) and it still looks better than the upcoming Seth Rogen-version!
I saw the movie in theaters when I was a kid. We had so much fun.
So glad your finally watching TMNT love them your gonna love watching the series
I love the nunchuck showdown between Mikey and that Foot Ninja. But the scene that will always hit me in the heart is when the Turtles are sitting around a campfire and they get a spectral message from Master Splinter.
Fun fact about Master Splinter: He was puppeteered and voiced by the same man who originated Elmo on Sesame Street, Kevin Clash.
Ah, a fellow chucker I see.
Not so fun fact:
Kevin Clash got fired as Elmo for being a child predator, and he was also the puppeteer, not just the voice as is always the case in the Muppets.
They will quickly tell you they don't just do a voice. They will tell you they do the whole character and are actors.
Voice actors always insist that it is real acting and not just a funny voice.
The actors who either did the voice or were inside the suit actually make an appearance in the movies when they’re out of the suits. Now I can’t list all them but the only one that I can from the top of my head is when Raph was chasing Casey and the guy in cab was ask what was that, that was actually the one who played raph
The pizza delivery guy was Leonardo
No, the pizza delivery guy was Michelangelo. Raphael was in the backseat of the taxi, Donatello was the foot solider talking to April in the subway and Leonardo was the foot gangster who told the police chief to "Check out the East warehouse on Lairdman Island" at the end of the movie.
i grew up with the TV Show of 2012 and its one of my favourite alterations. soon enough i grew to like everything of those silly turtles, every Show and every movie. thank you for this reaction
Same! Me my dad and brother would sit down and watch the 2012 cartoon it’s my favorite and I have been a big fan of the TMNT since.
When I was a little girl there was a period where if you asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up I would say “A Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle!” And I was so serious. Pizza in the sewer with your bros, what more do you need? Lmao
Please watch the movie "Short Circuit". A 80's classic.
YES I'm not the only one Asking anymore
There is animated Turtles movie where they cross over with Batman called Batman vs the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
I’m a 2000s kid and this movie was my introduction to the TMNT thanks to my uncle and I loved them! The 2nd one is definitely my favorite
I loved these growing up 🥰 The scene with all the kids always made me think about the sin island in Pinocchio
Me too.
*Pleasure Island
9:42 there’s a story out that said they were hit with the same chemical that made Daredevil lose his eyesight. 24:31 gotta remember these guys are teenagers. Teenagers like showing off and having fun. 27:20 he probably could survive the machine crushing. Depends on what is in the truck to begin with. 27:42 I wonder who at the news station is loosing their corner office for April?
New Line gained their first big success with the Nightmare on Elm Street films.. the studio was called "The House That Freddy Built" this was their second massive hit.
Jointly oroduced by Hong Kong action studio Golden Harvest, most famous for making Jackie Chan a star, and they handled a lot of the action and stunts. Directed by Steve Barron who was maybe the biggest Music Video director at the height of MTVs first era... did some of the most famous music videos of all time. Jim Henson's studio designed the suits and puppets... and were maybe the only fx studio in the world that could have pulled it off in 1990.
This movie is a minor miracle.
It shouldnt work... it shouldnt be possible for the time.. but they did it. That was my thought as a 12 year old watching it.. "they pulled it off".. its a perfect mix of the kids cartoon and the grittier comics they were based on.
Parents complined about how dark and violent it was.. but its why kids loved it... it wasnt pandering... it made you feel like you were warching an "edgy" TMNT movie... it made it so much cooler. The sequel sadly gave in the parents and was Nerfed.
My brother and I saw this as kids together in theaters when it came out. When we left we were literally looking down the sewers on a rainy night to maybe see them. Then went together to see it again for the special 30 year anniversary re-release in 2020. It was a nostalgia overdose in the best way... We still do the pork rind joke to this day 🍕🐢🐢🐢🐢
Some fun facts....
The original TMNT VHS has a Pizza Hut Little League baseball commercial in the beginning, yet Domino's ended up with the greatest pizza product placement in movie history. AND the delivery guy was actually one of the turtles, out of costume. Also the guy in the cab was one of the turtles out of costume as well. And there are cut scenes and altered ones of Michelangelo. He was the one shouting from the top of the farm house yet they used Raph's voice. He was also the only Turtle to not have his drawing shown done by April

Didn't you know that radioactive ooze is always the best source for cool mutations and superpowers?
Also, Splinter is the best dad.
“You are here because the outside world rejects you”- the shredder
The Secret Of The Ooze will always be my introduction to the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and the 1st film will always be my 2nd favorite movie of the franshise.
In some continuities the same accident that created the ninja turtles also blinded Matt Murdoch and gave home his Daredevil abilities. Also the Turtles fight the Foot clan and daredevils enemy is the Hand.
This movie is the definitive Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. I would also recommend the cg animated film "TMNT". It takes place after the 3 original movies. It's REALLY good.
I love this movie. Thanks for watching 👍
This was actually a Hong Kong movie produced by Golden Harvest. It was so hard for it to get screened in the US, until New Line Cinema picked it up. This is the best TMNT movie.
"How Are You Guys Supposed To Beat Me?" That's actually a reference to both the comics and cartoons, seeing as Raphael was the most durable of the bunch. Don was the smartest, Leo was the most tactical, Mikey was the most creative, and Raph was always the strongest & most durable. While mostly known for his anger issues, this early movies did a decent job in pointing out how Raph was in fact the best fighter (taking out well over twenty fighters before being overwhelmed) while his brothers struggled with half the amount. In the later movies, they did a decent job in explaining that Raph could've easily beaten his brothers if his anger had not regularly gotten the better of him.
These OG TMNT movies are much better than the newer ones, but I’ve heard the recent one is much better than people think!
She was fired because the Chief of Police was angry that she kept claiming that they were useless and he complained. So basically since he didn’t like being criticized or held accountable he decided to have this reporter silenced by demanding she be fired.
HOLD ON!!!
After you finish the Original 3 movies, there is an ANIMATED MOVIE FROM 2007 CALLED “TMNT” THAT YOU MUST WATCH
I'm somewhat of a big fan of the tmnt and this happens to be one my favourite movies ever
If you're going to watch all the movies, then you've got to watch the animated movie TMNT (2004), which is a sequel to the first trilogy movies. It's one of my favorite Ninja Turtles movie and I'm eager to watch you to react to it, so I hope you don't skip it.
I loved Judith Hoag in this movie! She was perfect as April O'Neil! I honestly wish that she had come back for the two sequels.
I wasn't really into the cartoon when this movie hit, but dammit, it sucked me into it when I saw it. The animatronics were SO well done! I could actually relate to the story, as well. And no, I wasn't a "teenage criminal".... but I was a "teenage outcast". '
Even though it's not huge on visual effects, this movie DOES hold up pretty well. Are you going to do the sequels? I should warn you, though, Timothee.... this is the best of the three. So, lower your expectations a bit, and you should still enjoy them.
I agree. While this movie has the darker tone of the comics, the sequels have the lightheartedness of the cartoons (especially part 2)
I have the 5-film box set containing all 3 90s live-action films, the 2007 CG film, and the Batman crossover from 2017.
I grew up on the 2002 series (and the 80s cartoon on video) and wasted most of my tokens at Chuck E. Cheese on the arcade game over the years.
I believe Danny is wearing a Sid Vicious WWF T-Shirt, as Toy Story wouldn't be released for another 5 years.
This is such a Nostalgic Movie with impressive Visuals and Special Effects for the 90s.
Love these 3 movies. And Ernie Reyes Jr in one of the suits in this one, playing one of thekr freimds/sidekicks in the second one secret of the ooze. And many people dont like the 3rd Turtles in Time but I love it especially cause of my love of Japanese culture.
The animated show from the 80s had a different backstory. Hamoto Yoshi was part of a ninja clan back in Japan but he was framed by his rival Oroku Saki, for attempted murder on the Sensei of the Clan and he was banished, so Hamoto Yoshi went to New York and lived in the severs, having rats as friends. One day he found four pet turtles that was accidently got through a sever grid after a boy dropped their case. He took care of them as his own pets but one day he found them in a glowing mutagen called Ooze. Yoshi dried the Ooze from them but then the turtles mutated into almost human-sized anthropomorphic turtles, while Hamato Yoshi himself got mutated into a giant humanoid rat. Yoshi got nicknamed Splinter while he named the turtles after the four renaissiance painters/artists (as Yoshi/Splinter was interested in art) Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo and Raphael.
The original comics by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird was more violent, somewhat gory and dark and the Turtles enjoyed beer, plus they were indistinguisable from one of the other. This didn't bare well when the comics were going to be an animated series so the violence were toned down, humor was added, the Turtles instead liked pizza and they got different colored masks and bandanas to tell them apart (aside from their weaponds and in Leo and Don's case different weapon belts compaired to Mike and Raph). The Turtles personalities were altered, like Leo is the de facto leader aside from Splinter, Don was a mechanical genius who builds vehicles such as their Party Van and The Turtle Blimp, Raph is a sacrastic wise guy and Mike is party loving carefree dude (who tends to refer his friend as "dudes" after the surfer slang). The Foot Clan, leaded by Oroku Saki in his alter ego as Shredder, are based inside an underground moving fortress called The Technodrome, bent on taking over the world through different means in each episode, starting with New York but always thwarted by The Turtles. Shredder himself have several goons and allies (aside from the numerous Foot Soilders who are Storm Trooper-like robots, instead of humans to make the show less violent) such as Bebop and Rocksteady (a mutated warthog and rhino respectively, who are brutish but not particularly smart) , Krang (who's a brain-like creature with tentacles, according to a season one episode he was from Dimension X, in which he ruled over Stone Warriors, humaoids made out of stone, but for some reason he turned into a body-less brain when he got to our dimension, though in a later season one episode Shredder made him a robot exoskeleton body looking like a seven foot tall muscular human), Baxter Stockman (mad scientist who in season 2 gets mutated into a fly, teams up with Shredder but in later season becomes a seperate enemy to both The Turtles and The Foot Clan), Leatherhead a mutated aligator, to name few.
This is one of my all time favorite movies. To this day, it's still the best TMNT movie.🐢🐢🐢🐢🐀
I would hope any future live action ninja turtles movie will use the animatronics instead of cgi. It really adds a tinge of realism and charm to the turtles.
Even though TMNT takes place in NYC, most of it was shot in Wilmington North Carolina which unfortunately with the combination of the heavy 60 pound animatronic turtle suits and hot summer weather made all the actors lose about 20 pounds by the end of production.
"Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles. Hero in a half shell turtle power". 🎵🎶. More importantly...I WANT PIZZA
Ahh a classic. Cheesy jokes but still badass.
I love these three films. I used to have them on VHS back in the day, now I have them on a dvd collection with the animated film TMNT.
I think I forgot how many times I watched this movie when I was a kid. I remember so many lines.
Shredder is the main antagonist. He’s the guy with the shiny metal armor.
I'm a huge TMNT fan (since 2012 when that year's series dropped on Nickelodeon), and last year was my first time watching this OG classic. I admire all the practical effects used to bring the Turtles and Splinter to life. Also, props to Josh Pais for being both the suit and voice actor for Raphael.
And random fun fact, but Donnie in this movie was voiced by Corey Feldman, and he returned to TMNT by voicing Slash in the 2012 series. I jokingly call his debut episode the "Goonies Reunion", because Sean Astin, who was Feldman's costar in the 1985 film, was a series regular on TMNT 2012 (as he was the voice of Raphael).
Nun chucks are very dangerous and can be deadly. Showing off their moves to one another takes skill.
As a heads up Timothee, after this movie a lot of mothers got very upset and complained about it being too violent. So the sequel movie they don’t use their weapons if you notice it and wonder why.
This is still one of my all time favorite movies! I could probably quote entire lines of dialogue from it. Especially the moment that Shredder is revealed, the music choice they used. And it only got better with the sequel! I can still watch those movies today, and still enjoy every moment.
Given the long history of TMNT since the 80s, this is a wonderful way to kick things off before the newest TMNT movie releases! The 1990 classic with the help of Jim Henson!
A classic version that was Both Independent and the one Jim Henson worked on too. All the creature puppetry done by Jim Henson’s creature shop, even Kevin Clash did the performance puppetry for Master Splinter
The physics in this movie are unreal because Splinter only had like 3% of the spear but he had time for a medium sized monologue?
The turtle actors also play other characters Mikey plays the pizza guy
Donatello plays the Foot Ninja that talks to April in there subway
Raph plays the passenger in the taxi after Raph and Casey fight
Leo also plays a Foot Ninja
too get the full experience you have to watch the pizza hut commercial ad before this movie starts on VHS that shit slaps
I actually love every single TMNT movie
Don't heart this comment! 😡
The Michael Bay involved films are terrible!
@@GarytongueBetz-vl1fu I still like the Bay movies and I recently watched the new TMNT: Mutant Mayhem and it was excellent
This movie is based on the comic origin. In the cartoon Splinter is Homoto Yoshi is a human that gets mutated into a half man half rat because the last animal he had contact with was a rat. The Turtles are mutated the way they are because they had contact with Yoshi. In this movie Splinter is a pet rat who mutated half rat half man.
There is also the 2007 TMNT animated movie
Let's go! '90s is the golden age of Ninja Turtles, after a lot was built up in the '80s animated series. As a '90s kid I watched this trilogy so many times!
"Oops" is best casual one liner when committing homicide. Foot and Splinter are poking at Daredevil comics. There was organization Hand and Daredevil's sensei name was Stick. So the Duo that made TMNT, loved the Daredevil and poked it in TMNT.
the REAL Turtles movie!!
Newer ones can't hold a candle to this one.
Fun fact: The four actors playing the turtles each have a small appearence: Josh Pais, who plays Raphael, plays a passenger in the back of a taxicab right after Raphael hops on the cab's hood. Michelan Sisti, who plays Michaelangelo, plays the pizza delivery man who delivers the pizza to the Turtles' sewer. Leif Tilden, who plays Donatello, plays the Foot messenger that meets April in the subway station. and David Forman, who plays Leonardo, plays a gang member in the warehouse during Casey's fight with Tatsu.
Amazing reaction to TMNT!!! I can’t wait for the next reactions!!! If you love TMNT, then you’d love this other iconic franchise which I highly recommend, the 3 Ninjas tetralogy.

Way before upgrading computer with special effects and other technology to make special effects. The outfit for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are almost the same Jim Henson’s “Dinosaurs” tv show in 1991
Grew up watching it and love it
Omfg Tim I got so damn excited seeing this!!!! The 90s turtles are so cursed but such classics
Always loved Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
Not too fond of the newer films. But hope you'll check out Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze
2:06 Don't forget as well for a very long time A Nightmare on Elm Street was Newline Cinemas flagship franchise, Like that's still the first thing I think of when thinking about Newline. Also at least they didn't have a weird Turtle Mutant/ Human romance angle lol
The teenage mutant ninja turtles movie is amazing. I love it.
My brother and I watched The 2nd one (secret of the ooze) so many times and was good. I do like the 2 new films and how big and strong the turtles are.
You should see the movie of 2009 Turtles Forever, for me it's a lot of nostalgia. Of course the movie of 2007 TMNT is good to
Also the movie of 2020 of The Teenage Muntant Ninja Turles and Batman uwu
Grew up with this, this was absolutely amazing when it first came out, because we all watched the cartoon series then this came out and did the series justice 😊
I love this movie. Jim Henson Creature Shop did the effects on Splinter and the Turtles. I met the April actress, Judith Hoag, at Comic con. This is the first movie where Sam Rockwell appears. He is in the Foot Clan hideout selling cigarettes.
fun fact: Since you've seen the movie already, the actor who played Billy, Skeet Ulrich in Scream has a noticeable extra role in this movie :P
The TMNT franchise begin
The Daredevil parodies that a lot of us didn't recognize as kids. The mutation from a chemical. A master named Spliter instead of Stick. They fight The Foot instead of The Hand. 😆
I really hope he watches the 2007 TMNT movie after the original movies. Its definitely my and some many others fav. tmnt movie.
I wish to apologize in advance for 3 :)
Edit: I make this comment regardless of whether you have watched it yet at the time of this upload and will make no further explanation
