- The Top 10 in the Impossible Levels List contains some of the best impossible levels ever made, and depending on your taste, some of the best levels ever made, period. After Tax Evasion topped CYCLOLCYC as the hardest impossible level, the ILL has received a rapid influx of new top levels - so much so, that 3 new levels have been added to the Top 10 in just the past 2 weeks.
People choose to make these incredibly hard impossible levels as a way to express creative freedom, or get their creations shown to the world without the necessity of a verifier, or simply, to test the game's limits. 1. Tax Evasion by skubb - An incredibly unique rebirth to Mute Evasion by Aeqing1, being the first major introduction of some of today's most famous gameplay mechanics - mainly, the infamous desynced dual set-up. Botted by @Locked101.
2. CYCLOLCYC by eightos - An incredible XXL level, sequel to Ballistic Wistfully, that takes you on a journey through an alien world. CYCLOLCYC features unorthodox decoration and gameplay mechanics, and unprecedented difficulty for the time of its creation. Botted by @Locked101.
3. Lunar Empress by TenDart - An elegant yet extremely difficult show of TenDart's hosting and creating skills. This is the easiest Top 5 to bot, by far. Botted by @tendart7339.
4. Domba by adaf - The final entry to the Sweet Rush series, composed of two 6-star levels made by the same creator, and Domba. A testament to the limits of difficulty in a Geometry Dash level. Macro by @adaf3003.
5. Formosa by eightos - Formosa presents the viewer with unmatched atmosphere for its minimalistic decoration, and for this reason, it is many people's favorite level ever made. Botted by @Locked101.
6. Ballistic Wistfully by eightos - Ballistic Wistfully's amateurish visuals only help to build its atmosphere - as you watch this level, you can tell something is off. Reigned the list for a quite long time. Botted by @Locked101.
7. METH DEATH X by AuraXalaiv and Erzor - Prevalent Nine Circles styled 2.0 level by Aura and Erzor, that uses pulses to its advantage in a way never seen before in a Nine Circles level. METH DEATH X evolves as you play it, and represents the song in ways previously unseen for old Nine Circles styled levels. Botted by @yawdx.
8. arcturus unnerfed by maxfs - Widely known for its possible version, Arcturus once was a well-known impossible level. Its unnerfed version is orders of magnitude more difficult, being only possible with FPS values in the thousands. This version captures Arcturus' ideal atmosphere even better, due to its menacing gameplay. Botted by @Locked101.
9. RAIN by Skyee - Skye's most famous level, and even though it's definitely not one of her best, it is still an amazing level that introduced some never before gameplay mechanics for an impossible level. Originally meant to be Top 1 difficulty. Botted by @Locked101.
10. Singularity by 070 - At first, Singularity might seem like an extremely easy level. However, as you play it, it exponentially gets harder and harder - up to inhuman levels, at around 60%, and some of the hardest impossible gameplay by the end. This level is themed around technological singularity. Botted by Zodiac.

For those wondering where Wistfully is, it was removed due to the creator's request. As for Schafs II/Schafs II Ging's Cut, it's been removed due to quality standards. And finally, TRUE SCHAFS is not added yet, as it's still being playtested.

Ballistic wistfully is one of my favorite impossible levels because it actually feels like you’re trying to escape like an endless loop
While tax evasion is my favorite because it perfectly encapsulates the difficulty of evading the irs

21:36 For those who do not understand what is being done here, the top player is teleported to the top where he must hold down, the mechanics that work there are that there are inclined steps, so to speak, and D blocks that do not allow you to kill character, after which the top character moves in front and the second behind him, this is probably a similar situation as in Arcturus, this is a desynchronization of the dual according to x Cardinate, there is also a minuswave in this level, this is a wave in which there are many gravity portals like in Arcturus, I hope this is all correct
Remember guys, there will come a time where CYCLOLCYC will be placed at #50 on the list
FU-
1. 11% frame alignment. (One wrong move, and you're toast later on)
2. Click counter at 58% (You need EXACTLY 2230 clicks to pass)
3. 14% and 37% dual ship. (These invisible gaps are so tight, you only have around 5 frames to execute the timing)
4. First part. (You have to click and release 3 TIMES on a frame)
5. Ball part at 31%. (Yes, all of those clicks are FPs)
6. Wave part at 23-25. (A lot of FPs)
7. 20% mirror portal transition. (One click has equal to 8 FPs)
8. Ball timing at 83% and cube part at 84%. (These will kill you if you don't align correctly at 11%)
9. A lot of Minuswaves. (Putting a spike, portal, and orbs on a tight wave gap)
10. Random scroll speed bug that make you either click earlier or later than you should. (Commonly found at the 2nd half of the level)
11. Dual part at 89-99%. (Not only it has invisible buffs, but there's also a spike box that only follow one player)
12. Click counter at the end. (You need EXACTLY 3870 clicks to pass)
13. This level is 6 minutes long.
All of these things contribute to the difficulty of CYCLOLCYC.

Idk wtf is going on with Tax Evasion
Tax Evasion is basically a 2-player duel with one player in a really tight ship or tight wave section (with 1440 fps frame perfects) while the other is doing some really complex tight gameplay
I think this is the only list that isn't flooded with hell levels
The sneaky little Unnerfed Arcturus did manage to sneak in the Top 10 tho.

Tax Evation has been placed on #3, below nessus and above Quardentinalis. This pushes Lunar Empress to extended list, Silent Circles to Legacy list.
I am surprised that CYCLOLCYC lost the 1st place position, but Tax Evasion got on it. I also didn't know about Lunar Empress, at a very relevant time you posted this video, I wish you success in showcasing!

Random ranking that nobody asked for:
10: Meth Death X. This level is really bad
9: Donna. The result of wearing down quality control until they eventually cave in. At least it has some deco though
8: Singularity. Big step up from the last 2, but I gotta say, this level just doesn’t look very good
7: Arcturus. Sorry, I’ve just never liked this level very much
6: Rain. It was cool on release, but this level has not aged very well, and the drop kinda doesn’t have anything happening
5/4: Tax Evasion/Lunar Empress. These levels are kinda the same thing, just unpolished purple design levels with a few standout parts. Didn’t feel like expending the brain power to decide which one is better, so this is what you got
3: Formosa. Cool Eightos level. Lightmare is just the better version imo, but Formosa is still pretty good
2: Ballistic Wistfully. I can’t really say anything that hasn’t already been said, so I’m just not going to.
1: Cyclolcyc (duh). Blehh

Some thoughts from someone unfamiliar with the list’s inner workings:
What happened to wistfully and joke (re?)submission?
What changed for cyclolcyc and tax evasion to swap?
Wistfully got removed by the creator's request
Joke Resubmission got removed due to a quality standards revote which it lost (ppl vote whether a level gets to be on the ILL or not)
Tax Evasion got a bugfix update that accidentally added 80 extra frame perfects and raised its difficulty above cyclolcyc
Imagine someone verifies them💀

Ballistic Wistfully is holding top 1 impos but in a day, something happen, top 1 belong to “Pablo Demise” in just a day or a few day but after I check (three days later) Ballistic Wistfully is now top 1 and I never seen “Pablo Demise” agian

average clicks to dash orb face down can make you drop to 2 block very quickly. this makes it harder because it must be release very quickly
Because using orbs is a great way to make something that is already humanly impossible even harder! There are a ton of interesting ways to use orbs in impossible levels

Pretty much micro clicks
Not all dash orbs are used like this, but if you click and release a dash orb on the same frame it behaves differently than if you were to hold it for longer. Clicking and releasing on the same frame on really high frame rates is extremely difficult and makes levels much harder.
Does my verification of silent circles count if I was on a tablet so laggy that 4x speed was 3x slower than the slowest available or is that considered hack/glitch verification
