Apricot/pineapple jam with chopped pecans is how my grandpa liked his pancakes dressed.
I put the jam and butter in a bowl and warm it up in the microwave together. It deliciously sweet butter.

My mom taught me when I was young how to make homemade pancake batter ,my father taught how to make syrup on stove with brown sugar & water ,never thought of doing with the jam or jelly on stove you learn something old every day lol 😆 new to me though ! I saw this video the other day. I tried using my apricot preserves for syrup! It came in a glass mug with a lid. I microwaved it without the lid. IT WORKED! I couldn’t believe it! Sometimes I just want syrup on some buttered toast. Well, I’ve done it several times now. 😋😋😋

Ive always made my pancakes with Self Raising flour. With milk & eggs.
Love that tip with jam or preserve in a syrup. I always put jam on my pancakes but your was is going to be delicious. I cook my bacon crispy always.
I make cottage cheese pancakes 1 cup cottage cheese 4 eggs mix add cinnamon and a little vanilla tastes like pancakes low calories and carbs. Will have to try the jam syrup 😊

my sister and I forage wild raspberries and make lots of jelly. when I want raspberry syrup, I add 1/4 cup water to a pint of jelly and heat it until the jelly is melted. it's perfect every time.
