Hope for the Dying is a name I haven’t heard since I was in high school. They are from my area and I got to see them after their the released their self titled. Was pretty cool to have a band like that in an area where we don’t have much of a music scene.

I like a lil bit of Trivium,feel like they have more substance than your average 'core band.
A friend shown me BFMV and i kinda dug em.
The vocals were not annoying and the songs were decent.
But my fave Metalcore band is Zao,which im glad got a shout-out.

the problem with metalcore is it needs to be more categorized
i mean hatebreed, as i lay dying, architects, attack attack, all of them are considered metalcore but none of them sound similar

BTBAM are just on a different level. Glad you included them. There are many great bands in so many genres and there's a lot of overlap in those genres. People get obsessed with genres and should just appreciate the music for what it is.

Duuude HFTD was the shit. My local band got to play a small show with them in 2011 for that album. They were awesome dudes.
And their music is peak! I don’t listen to them that often cause I wanna keep it sounding special to me.

A big problem is the fact we just call every 'core band "metalcore" without really making the distinction between something like Earth Crisis to that of Architects or even Killswitch Engage

I was going to include them, in fact I learned and recorded “Meddler”, but for some reason that part got corrupted and I didn’t have time to do it again so I ended up cutting it out sadly :[

metalcore is the best. because its the best to show people that say they hate metal. and you notice they bopping their head a bit. some dont go beyond, thats fine, some do. but for people that say metal all sounds the same and is muh devil stuff, metalcore is great to dispel that.
also some songs with a nice transistion between cleans and screams is nice.
dont get me wrong, slaughter to prevail is nice. but some metal like like some bands in death or black metal. where its just the same gutterals or some growls the entire time, without any change in pitch or cadence really just sucks. I say this as a guy that lists to stuff like darko us or lorna shore. I dont find the piggs and goblins
