    Great video. I’ve used shrimp style flies on both the Russian, Kasilof and Kenai rivers with great success and highly recommend them. I’ve also found that using small hooks with very small amount of yarn can work as well.

      In September in Kodiak, you'll likely be targeting coho salmon (an absolute blast)- be sure to check out the "Coho Salmon Fishing" forum, which will give you an even better idea of what to expect. If bait is open in the water you are thinking of going, check out our "How to fish for coho salmon at Campbell Creek" video as that method would work VERY well.
