It was free to stay in the field at Whithorn, they just ask that you use the pub. Nice meal and we stayed a couple of nights and shot the lighthouse with the Milky Way behind
thats cool and a meal
Nice shots 👍🏻 nice sky's and compositions
Thanks for visiting
nice shhots paul. Another good video
Thanks 👍
Awesome job mate. Some stunning images there including the IR shots which usually aren't my thing but they worked really well 📷👏👏
Glad you like them! Thanks
Get some lovley rainbows in Scotland Paul, but to hit your van must be a sign. Had a good few through Glencoe. Nice vlog mate some cracking images, thought the infer red of the lighthouse were fantastic and I always thought why bother a messing a camera up.👍👍👍👍😉😉
Absolutely, it was a spare camera
Yep got told off for being there myself one time, but the shot I got was worth it!!
thats mad.. lol
I enjoyed the video as usual Paul.
Like you i enjoy photographing lighthouses, there's something about them.
That was a nice touch with the stone remembering your dog.
Great image's as usual mate.
Look forward to seeing your next video.
Glad you enjoyed it, and the stone was for my Cockatiel my bird of 24 years haha
Great images mate
Glad you enjoyed
That was a very chilled vlog and some beautiful images as well. I've been planning a run down the Ayrshire coast for the last couple of years. Something always seems to hold me up. It's just far enough to be inconvenient. I'll wait 'til we've got longer daylight hours to try to get as many 'sights' done in one day as possible, and fit in an ice cream at Largs.
Ailsa Craig is known as 'Paddy's Milestone', due to the number of immigrants from Ireland to Scotland came in that way, including my own Great, Great, Grandfather.
no ways thats some info
I've been away for a while and it looks like I have some catching up to do on YT 🙂
you sure do
Just to say, the lighthouse is a landmark and stunning in its own right but it was built on the site of Turnberry Castle (Robert the Bruce birth place).. You can still make out the shape etc.
Wow thats cool to know thanks.. please keep me posted in other videos
Great images like the look ofthe infrered images. A lovely idea for pets memorial stones
Thank you! Cheers!
Another great video Paul. Some stunning shots. The rainbow was good. The cave looked quite eerie. Well done.
the cave was haha
Thank you Paul, another great video, cheered me up massively, through the seriously bad situation I'm going through at the moment, please keep it up.
wow i hope all is ok.
@PaulComptonPDphotography thanks Paul, I'm OK at the moment, but I'm not sure about my future yet.
Thanks for your concern Paul, I've now got a house to move into, which is great because it's in the village and that means I can keep my job. Because I'm still in Lochinver, I can keep up with photography in this incredible place. If you come up here again, please let me know and I can show you some of the lesser known places and I'll have a spare bedroom if you want to use it. Thank you so much for your concern.
Best
Steve
