The booth should definitely be named “Tornado Alley”.
@megvanani...or simply harry tornadoe's.
I thought the same thing.
I was thinking the very same thing!! I am so sorry because I'm not sure how to spell your pups name but what about Moe's Place? If you have a vote though, I'd be in for Tornado Alley!!
100%
Came to say that too! 😀
Just a suggestion I would move the gumball machine to the front corner just inside your lines so that it's visible for all foot traffic, I used to have a vending machine and placement makes all the difference.
Yes, and definitely put a sign on it or something that says "Works" only 25cents - or something like that. Someone might think it is just old, old candy and in there for display only.
Did you check that your latest spheres actually fit through the machine ?
Suggestion, add a large rug , not for sale. It will make your booth cozy covering the cold concrete floor.
@@beckypetersen2680so true, I’d think the same if I passed by it.
@@pmsbetty1I’d like the idea of the rug under that table. 😃
Besides the plushie, Mose doesn't have a huge part! Call it "Mose Market"! Then he is part of the family business and gets promoted from New Goods Inspector!
I was thinking the same thing, we all know him ‼️
" Mose Market " sounds amazing ‼️
Hahaaa I love it!! Yall should at least give him a space for the animal items!
As much as I love them (I have 3 currently) it's hard after their time with us is done to have constant reminders :(
Yes and Mose would look good on a little sign, I think it would draw people in.
BE SURE TO PLACE THE GUM BALL MACINE IN THE AISLE SO EVERYONE SEES IT!!! Also be sure to put the mug rack on a lazy Susan!! They need to add antiques to the end of the name of the business so people know it’s not just restock. Tornado Alley is thee perfect name for the booth!!
Tornado Alley sounds like a great name
Just call it Mose Corner and have a picture of him up. Great video as always
Have some business cards with all your platforms listed on them and put them by the sign-in book. That way they can just pick up a card and look up all the different ones at their leisure. Definitely move the gum ball machine toward the front of the booth. Bring in some of your Mose stuffed animals to sell. Love your channel.
You should find some used rugs to put down. It would make the place look a lot better.
A tip to get people to sign your guest book. Leave it open with a pen ready to use & you sign & date it 1st so it shows others what to do. Also a basket with hard candy is nice by the book, so they get a treat for doing something for you.
Also a sign in a small frame or just a folded sandwich type of table sign, like folks use at a formal dinner table to direct guest to their seat. Have your sign say "Please sign our guest book & have a piece of candy as a thank you."
I used signs all the time when selling houses at Open House. Also they work to point out things of interest in an empty house for sale, especially if I was not there or in another room. The signs did some work for me & noted areas of interest.
I like the table sign and the idea of signing the book first so folks know what it's there for. If you do the candy thing, PLEASE have a trash receptacle as people won't know what to do with the wrappers and they WILL end up in other people's booths or on the floor....
If u would go over that end table with old English scratch remover 4 dark wood it would look like new! I'm not kidding. Give it a go.
Tornado Alley sounds like a good name
You need to move that gumball machine out to the corner or the edge of the aisle so people can buy from it without stepping into your booth. I think you'd sell more that way!
You may be right! ... or use the gumball machine to lure people into the space but still near the aisle is good, along with a large readable sign so people understand "Hey people! These gumballs are here for you and the kids..."GUMBALLS & TOYS only 10¢!!"
Awesome booth....as far as a guest book....you can design your own book on your computer...this way you can personalize it with your name and picture on the cover. Also what ever info you want the person to sign in the book. Then take the design to Staples they can print and bind the book for you. Also grab one of those sticky ball and chain pens like the banks used to have.... a personalized Hairy Tornado guest sign in book!!
That vintage end table brought back so many memories. My parents had those in our living room over 50 years ago! ❤
Thanks for showing the real booth (as it starts and develops). No one starts with a perfect booth- fully stocked!
I think that you can get an inexpensive rug would really make you booth look more appealing!
You just want to make sure people don’t trip on the corner of the rug!!
@@embro2.0 I did that in my own shop TWICE! So the rug went out the door!!
You two crack me up 😂 Josh- “I’m upset”. Hayley “Are you going to put them in one at a time?”
Ps- I love Temu!
I was just going to say the same thing. Such a wife to husband comment. Made me laugh. I heard my wife at that exact moment 😂
Is Temu legit? I've been so bombarded with ads I've just been assuming it can't be legitimate.
I'm loving the people who suggested Tornado Alley before I could lol. Also, I think I would have to fight anyone who stole from Josh and Hayley grrrr. Love you both so much!
Nothing gets by you eh? lol@@adammonahan687
You might want to change the 'not for sale' sign on the cup rack to 'rack not for sale' or display not for sale or people might thin the mugs are for your personal use. Looking good.
I would put a dummy camera in your booth to scare away any theif from taking items... just a thought
LOVE THE BOOTH! You should absolutely advertise your youtube and whatnot pages at your booth, Stay Frosty Josh!
I have had a vtg booth for about 3 years. It truly is sustainable storage! I do like putting larger items that I dont want to ship in there. I suggest having a variety of price points. I sell a lot of smalls like $20 or under, but gradually started adding in higher ticket collectibles over time. Make the most of your pegboard wall hanging up as much as you can, you can always add in bookshelves along the sides to give your booth structure.
YES! Why have things in storage when you have potential to sell, sell, sell in your booth!
You should put all of your paintings on the walls for sure, which can help people visualize them in their own home.
I would also suggest a couple of rugs to add some color. So excited for you guys. This is the perfect set up for all of your stuff!
Absolutely a rug would bring it all together. Great job
The booth should be named “Hairy’s Tornado”!
honeslty the booth being 'support your friends' works really well i presumed the big sign you had up on the wall was the name of the booth aswell it it makes sense to support local companies ect
Suggestion from someone who has had booths for over 15 years: get some more shelving units to place on the back wall and get more small pieces of furniture for the middle of the booth. Or, small bookcases for the middle of the booth. PLace the gumball machine at the edge of the booth so folks won't walk by it. Good luck! you guys will do fine!
Looks like you’re already getting some great suggestions! I’ve had a booth for close to 20 years now….in various locations. I always say “when it’s not fun anymore, I’ll quit”! Unfortunately people do steal from booths. I’ve had a pedestal cake plate and an 8” green depression glass pitcher (to name a couple items) stolen. The store owner finally posted a sign that large bags will have to stay at the checkout counter. Your pretty pens will DEFINITELY walk off. Make a sign (please leave pens in our booth 😊)so it’s not quite as tempting. Tornado Alley is my vote as well.
You should definitely put up a QR code along with your guys merchandise. I agree Tornado Alley would be a great name for the booth. Awesome job guys!
I think you should give the shop the name :Tornado Hayley she deserves it she came so far❤❤❤greetings franny
7 gum balls🤣! Good eye catcher. It will draw folks in to see the Un!
Glad to see you utilizing an antique booth. I use an antique booth as well selling Pokemon mainly. My antique mall has glass showcases which cost $50 a month + 10% of sales. Great for security and don’t really have to deal with theft since they are locked cases.
I had a booth in PA for 5 years and have one suggestion. To add some warmth to your booth you could add a floor covering, like a throw rug of a vintage look. To prevent it from slipping you could put two-sided tape on the corners to secure it to the floor. I noticed other vendors have rugs.
Looks great otherwise, good luck!
Maybe put a throw rug down on the floor...make it cozy. I love it!
Suggest a different table cloth on table, something more eye catching that draws the buyer in
The both I got, in Dallas TX, is 8×8 and $90 a month. They don't take any of the profits. Best of luck to yall. It is a lot of fun.
“Mose Mercantile” would be super cute
Mu husband and I are planning a day trip from the upstate to just go in antique booths. Just saved the address and website! This is the kind of stores we love!
Probably shouldn’t have announced there wasn’t cameras at back of booth. lol! Maybe you could put one back there. Love your videos!
I don’t think thieves really care about cameras anyway.
I love the suggestion of “Tornado Alley”. Business cards are a must. The booth looks very nice and I wish you much luck.
I love browsing those types of antique malls! I would definitely come visit and buy some gum balls if I were near you guys! (Used to have a small vending business).😊
Move the gumball forward, unless you are worried about it breaking. Thy paid about .18 for their gumball in CAD
Antique booth pricing. THAT'S awesome! The 25 a month is a great idea.
Really like the comfort level of Hayley, the way she looks at Josh, her smile & Defiantly Loves this life as opposed to Managing the Water Department! My Vote For A Name Someone Came Up With Mose Corner! All The Best! Be Well Be Safe & Stay Blessed.
I’m an OG and have been following since before you went full time. I’ve watched every video except for a few lives. You have to name the booth, “Tornado’s Alley”!!! Nothing else will do! 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤❤❤
I'm definitely loving headband Hayley she's rocking them and is too cute
“UA-camr’s Alley” sounds interesting and will bring customers and subscribers 😉
Great booth. Ya'll should put up a nice big family photo of you Hailey and Moes. Adds Booth recognition and people could take selfies with you.
Hayley at start of vid looked like a Majestic Unicorn with her head band and Mose's Tornado Alley would be the way to go which includes all three of the Hairy Tornado Crew 👍🇦🇺🦘
Fur coat at the bins is a vintage faux fur.
I love it@
Yes! Absolutely should name it Tornado Alley! 😊❤
Love your videos! I am retired and your videos have motivated me to get off the sofa and start selling the many things I have collected! I also love thrifting, so why not do something I enjoy!
Try pulling your gumball machine out towards the edge. Which will draw kids attention, which will bring parents in as well. Love you guys.❤
Scratch cover works well on walnut tables
The booth is great. I would advertise for myself. Thats a great opportunity! The name?
Haley's Hidden Secrets! ❤❤❤
Congrats on the booth. Kinda sucks tho they don't give you two sidewalls as well as the back wall. We have 3 booths at 3 different places and they all come with 3 walls with peg holes which helps alot, can hang so much more stuff and utilize all your space.
I think you mean “We’re going to show you the LOW DOWN son our booth”, not down low! Haha made me laugh.
Josh and Haley, I am sure that you send a "thank you" card with each item a person orders. I personally think that if you say something like this it will add more of a personal touch to your " thank you card " Thank you for your order, Haley and I I realize you have many choices to choose from when ordering items from Ebay but we are so happy that you chose items from our store. We will never take your business for granted and we will do everything to make you satisfied with your purchase. Again, thank you, Haley and Josh. P.S. Oh, by the way, Mose sends his love too. This is only a suggestion, you can personalize your "Thank you" anyway you choose but in my humble opinion, the person spending their hard-earned money deserves more than just a mere "thank you."
I like the name "Tornado Shelter" 😂
We can name the booth Hairy Tornado's Treasure Trove. 🐾
This is great. It gives you an outlet for stuff that doesn't fit in other categories, especially stuff you get dirt cheap. Expect a big learning curve:)
Fun! We love our booth space and it's so fun!
Hey bro keep the gum ball in front cause it looks cool and it's easy but it's up to you what you think have fun loved it😘
Tornado Alley is perfect!! Kudos to whomever came up with that first, that's brilliant.
Great business model for the person leasing the space and great way to offload some inventory or sell stuff you dont want to sell online. Thats what you call a win win!
Thanks for coming by! We have some new things coming soon!
"Hailey and Hairy Tornado" and make a sign so the people that come to sign your guest book can take a picture with it :) Love the booth!!
I loved having a booth! Sadly, the establishment we were at closed and I haven't sought another location. Bad experience with not getting our last month pay out...kinda put me in a funk about doing all that work over...ugh, but my booth did so well. It was so much fun! Thank you for showing us one of yours. Looks good! -Amy
The coffee table you showed, bought one just like this new in early 60's to furnish a home in Arlington, VA
LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! Your booth! I want to do this and am procrastinating about doing it.😂🤪
Thanks Josh I’ve been waiting for this Video 🎉🎉
10: 41 I didn't expect to be so happy to see some of those Gumballs being sold😁😄
I was thrilled 😆
If the shop has WiFi, you can get Blink or Ring cameras. I did this. Caught a shoplifter who stole a $900.00 collectors pack of some sci-fi series from another vendor. The store you are in looks awesome. All the antique malls near me don't a lot of the merchandise that you have. The mall I WAS in for several years was marketed as a second hand store. I paid $165.00 for an 8x8 plus 6%. Unfortunately it is a big metal uninsulated building with no heat or A/C. The hot spell we had in central California forced them to shut down when the temp hit 95°, so it was closing around noon everyday for almost 6 weeks. Customers quit coming. The set up you are in is great.
My kids just said, "Is that the Tornado guy? It sounds like him." Then they proceeded to have a whole conversation about what your real name night be...
My kids know your voice. 😂
Wish nothing but the best for you guys!
That's a really good price on a booth as long as this location gets high volume of traffic. I see you do multiple cash flow that's how you grow the business by not relying on one income since.
PUT YOUR UA-cam NAME UP! If there are subscribers running into your booth- they’ll buy just because you two are so likable! Plus you can get subscribers! Also add a picture of you two together letting people know more about other channels that you do! Makes the place your in more “ Upscale” feeling. Because you have a lot of followers! Gives it that “ NAME BRAND FEELING” …..❤😂
I thought the name of the booth was Support your friends. The monogram you had on the wall of the booth was perfect! Then your followers also know they're in the right place
Booth is lookin good. Big photo of you, Haley, and Mose, call it the Cozy Corner.😊 God bless stay safe until the next video 💓 😍
this is all so fun! I love y'all's passion in what you do ❤ best of luck to you always!
I LOVED this video! A little bit of everything ❤
I didn't think of the "Tornado Alley" that is cute. I was thinking "Hairy Tornado Shelter" with your info on a safety card like they have at a shelter. New stock could be "new debris" or listed as just blown in stock.
So glad to see you selling items that aren’t actually antiques or vintage. I was in that Goodwill on Sunset a few weeks ago and their prices are ridiculously high. Definitely put a name and all your social media info in your booth. I’ve had an “artisan” and repurposed booth in Little Mountain for five years, have had 38 items stolen in that time frame. I take it personal when someone feels they can help themselves to my hard work without paying for it…..but it’s so much fun thrifting and making things. Good luck with all your ventures and thanks for sharing.
The excitement when you guys saw those quarters... 😆
Like a little kid lol
For your booth just get like a comment or suggestion box kinda like a mailbox or soemthing that can be locked. Just make sure there's a slot. Leave like a few ink pens with blank index cards or blank business cards for people to fill out and drop in the box for you guys. That way it keeps their information private going to you guys only and nobody else can see. File them in an index card holder or buisness card holder and organize whether they're just from fans or friends and sort out some that might be used for resourcefulness etc. Just an idea guys.
Its a small, presentation suggestion but I would hang your clothes on nice hangers that are all the same. This is a store not a garage sale The booth is a good option for you. Its priceless not having to deal with the end part of making a sale.
Thanks for the video and information
HHTT Hairy, Hailey Tornado Thrifts. I have 2 spaces at 2 different locations I resell in. Love it. ☮💜
A couple of more names for two of my favorite UA-camrs; Beyond the Beyond, Beyond the Pleasures of Life, Beyond the Norm, Beyond the Gifts of Love, Beyond the Gifts of Life, Your Pleasure My Pleasure, Where Gifts Collide, Today is the Dream you Dreamed of Yesterday
Like the booth - good luck with it. Stay safe.
i laughed at the Canadian quarter part! lol im in Winnipeg. GOD bless you Josh and Hayley!
Absolutely post a sign directing folks to your UA-cam & Whatnot & any other social media.
Yes..name it Hairy Tornado!!!!
You need a planner type notebook with rings so it will stay open...
Love that you guys are trying a booth to sell your picks. I manage an antique and collectibles mall, Hidden Treasures Mall and Antiques in Loves Park, IL. You should stop in if you’re in the are the area, it’s huge! A lot of our vendors put vinyl flooring that looks like wood in their booths. It helps to pull the whole look of booth together. Good luck with new venture!
Booth is coming along nicely! Also, just sold my third pair of Hokas, which is a brand you guys convinced me to try flipping. Thanks!
Love you and Hailey !!❤
I agree with a lot of people here: Tornado Alley should be the name of your booth! Look for Tasmanian Devil plushies at the bins, and decorate your booth with Taz on a tornado backdrop.
I live in Michigan, and Canadian coins are generally treated like US coins, except for Loonies and Toonies, since we don’t use $1.00 and $2.00 coins. I actually collect Canadian coins, so I’m thrilled when one turns up in my change. Of course, any I don’t need are saved for my next trip to Canada! Last month, I went to Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and rode the Agawa Canyon train. The scenery was beautiful! I love Canada!
I completed that blank, lined coloring book in your booth. Sorry, used ALL your ink from the pens. Seriously AWESOME idea! Hope to visit one day. Great video! Life is like a Hairy Tornado video... Thank you.
Name the booth tornado alley
Always enjoy your content!
I agree… my husband just said “ tornado alley”. Lol
I haven't won anything yet on your Whatnot shows but they are so much fun! I have only been on a couple but have enjoyed them so much! I love the booth! I definitely will come sign your book if I make it back to Columbia anytime soon!
A Canadian quarter is worth .18 US cents ... love to Mose!!
