I discovered Mega bass in the mid 90's. The only place I could find them was from Northern Bass Supply. They offered a Pop-X. The original Dog-X and the Leviathan. I also heard George Cochran talk at a seminar after his retirement. He said he could say what he wanted to now. He said every pro has this lure in in their boat no matter what is on their hat. He then held up a 110.
@@jddarby007 you know what they say, if you spend more than 2 minutes looking for your golf ball you probably are buying balls that are too expensive for you. Same with fishing lures. If I have to buy a lure retriever when I buy a bait there is a hint in there somewhere that I probably should be buying cheaper baits ...

I started fishing Megabass jerk baits last year after watching one of your videos. I had never fished a jerk bait but I decided to try the Vision 110 and I was very impressed with the performance. The way the lures how their position in the water column is amazing. Highly recommend them!
Your one of my favorite fishing channels and I am a saltwater fisherman. I noticed that a lot of lures are interchangeable in both waters. For example I use a lot of Flatbaits for Redfish and Speckled trout because they school in very shallow water. You should consider having a guest who can compare the lures that can be used for both fresh and saltwater fishing?
Make a video on some lesser known megabass lures like the Gong, Funky Flipper, Over Rev Crank, Pivot, Rat X, Tiny Xlayer, TK twister, I- Wing and the Pony Frog. Especially how that Gong works.
Great company! I own quite a bit of their products, and I love their Rods! I own a bunch of P5 destroyers, Orochi, and Levante rods. Great video. They think their products out, and the quality is unmatched. I see a lot of rip-offs of their products. I live close to the biggest showroom of their products.
Mega bass baits are top tier, no doubt. And I fully understand your explanation of why they are so expensive. The issue is not with their quality, but cost. I would love to see a Maga Bass lure with a 6th Sense paint scheme. You rightfully pitch MB as top notch lures, but many of their paint schemes just don’t catch my eye. They have priced themselves out of a majority of anglers price range. Just wish they could do something about the price. They are good, but not that much better as to justify the price, even when the dollar is worth more than the Yen.
I spend my bass fishing money on gas so I can be on the water every week, not every new bait that comes along, most of which are just hype. The Hula Popper, Jitter Bug and Senko catch as many bass today as they did 30 years ago, particularly since the advent of YT where everyone is just hawking new lures with every video ...
@@astrophysicistguy absolute facts. I use super pop rs that are 25 years old. Rods that are just as old, and I still hammer em! Bass don’t care about finely painted Japanese lures, anglers do!

Great baits but not very durable, can’t tell you how many Megabass crank baits and jerk baits I’ve broken. I keep buying more though because of how good they are.

I’ve caught my most “Megabass” fish on the Jamaican Boa, such a killer buzzbait!! I’ve caught a lot of the SV3 spinnerbait too!!
I love all JDM baits but Megabass is tops for me. I’m jealous, Randy.
I bought my first Megabass lure in France this summer. Incredible quality...Yozuri is best quality for price IMO.

I just bought there pop x or pop max which ever one is smallest. And one of the first fish I caught one of the hooks broke off
I would say Duo Realis is on par with MB
