These are my thoughts on Semi Final 2 :)
01 Norway - I’m happy that Alexander Rybak gets to open the show. A good bit of light hearted fun to open proceedings. I do think Norway are probably going to qualify.
02 Romania - I honestly feel Romania’s 100% qualification record is done. This song just doesn’t stand out enough. They really need some killer staging to save this.
03 Serbia - Like Romania, I think this isn’t going anywhere. In the recap they just blend into the background. Second non-qualification in a row for Serbia I think.
04 San Marino - I personally quite like San Marino but it’s quite obvious that they aren’t going through. They don’t seem to have any support amongst fans and the songs that come up after this one completely erase it from memory for me.
05 Denmark - Easily qualifying. This stands out so much sandwiched between San Marino and Russia. I think Denmark is heading for top 3 in the semi with this position.
06 Russia - Not a bad draw for Russia. Could be worse. I think they are a safe qualifier.
07 Moldova - It’s fun but overall the juries will rank it down and next to four quite obvious qualifiers in Denmark, Russia, Netherlands and Australia, I don’t think Moldova will do well.
08 Netherlands - Good slot following Moldova. I think this is a safe qualifier if Waylon can nail it live.
09 Australia - I can already hear all the complaints about Australia getting the best possible slot but where else would you put this song. It was the obvious choice to close the first half. Definite qualifier.
10 Georgia - This is going nowhere. Sorry to Georgia but they will just get forgotten about performing directly in the middle of the show in-between Australia and Poland. This is dead in the water sadly.
11 Poland - Not a hugely bad draw for Poland. I think there is a slim chance they may not make it but overall, I think it should qualify.
12 Malta - Like Poland, I think there is a chance Malta won’t qualify but I think in the end Malta will probably qualify. Christabelle is a great live performer and probably will captivate audiences.
13 Hungary - Hungary will go one of two ways. They will either qualify with ease or they will flop. I personally hope for the latter because I am not keen on the song but I wouldn’t be surprised either way.
14 Latvia - Like Hungary, this could go either way. It could stand out for being the first ballad on since Georgia, but it may also get lost in-between Hungary and Sweden.
15 Sweden - This is hands down winning this semi-final. This is a prime spot for Sweden to shine. I predict top 5 at least for Benjamin.
16 Montenegro - Montenegro could just about make it through. It’s the only Balkan ballad in the semi-final and it’s the last ballad of the semi. I feel Montenegro is 50/50 at the moment.
17 Slovenia - If this qualifies I will be very surprised. I honestly don’t feel Slovenia does enough here. I think this is a contender with San Marino, Moldova and Georgia for last place in the semi.
18 Ukraine - Unexpected but good choice to close the show. Melovin has bags of charisma and I think he will put on a good show. I think he is a definite qualifier.
These are my predicted qualifiers based on studio versions:
1. Norway
2. Denmark
3. Russia
4. Netherlands
5. Australia
6. Poland
7. Malta
8. Hungary
9. Sweden
10. Ukraine
I also think Montenegro or Latvia could very well make it through and I think if they were to get through it would be Malta and Hungary who drop out.
My prediction is in random order : Norway, Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine , Sweden, Australia , Denmark @@@@ I have still 3 spaces to cover - and I think it could be any of these songs ..... maybe it will be somebody less predicted ... ????
We're doing so well the past few years (Netherlands) so I hope we'll fly through this year again :)

Really happy with this running order for my favourites - Denmark, Netherlands and Hungary
I think the qualifiers will be: Norway, Denmark, Netherlands, Australia, Hungary, Sweden and Ukraine. The last three spots are really difficult to pick. Possible last three spots to Moldova, Montenegro and I think it'll be a fight between Latvia and Malta (assuming Russia doesn't get their spot).I did consider Slovenia for the final spot but between Montenegro and Ukraine I think the song will look cheap in comparison.
Not as excited for this semi. There's a lot of songs in this one that I just don't really care about. Not to say they're bad, I'm just not really invested in whether or not they qualify.

Malta and Latvia are screwed I think. Hungary will overshadow them both. Poland will overshadow Malta and Sweden will overshadow Latvia. I hope Malta and Latvia both qualify.
This will be the first time since I started watching ESC that I will miss the beginning of the show... On purpose! 😆

Romania will stand out ,that girl can sing and Europe will vote for her,yes the song might sound 80,s but there are alot of people who will vote for the song. ..Vocally the girl is just great .Denmark,Norway,The Netherlands,Sweden,Ukraine,Poland,Russia,Hungary,Australia. this will be my 10 finalist from the second -semi.Good luck to all.
Yea vocal is good but georgia last year had great vocal but song is not good so maybe next year. Also i dont know much people that think romania is good

It depends ,each year is different,but i do really think Romania will do well ,its just my personal opinion and like you maybe next year ,but i strongly believe once live on Tv alot of people who love music from the 80,s will vote for it.

I think Denmark probably got the best position out of them all, which I'm happy with. I think Norway got position number 1 purely because of Alexander - I mean, who else could kick off the show better? Not convinced he'll qualify though, the song itself is just not strong enough. I feel bad mostly for Latvia as it's one of the better songs in the line-up. I kind-of wish Netherlands and Australia were swapped as I think going last in the first half would actually be the better position and I'm not fond of Australia at all. I'm very happy that you think Montenegro has a good chance as it remains my favourite out of the entire competition! Ukraine will sweep through - good song to close things out even though I'm personally on the fence about it. Everything else I don't care much for, except maybe Malta. My fingers are crossed for Denmark, Latvia and my soul, Montenegro!!
Svartr As a huge Alexander Rybak fan, I feel very optimistic with him going first. His song is very fun and enjoyable and of course he's bringing the violin so it really should get the party started, so to speak. Plus, he's Eurovision royalty. Additionally, he's very popular in Russia and Ukraine so he's sure to get a lot of points from them. And of course Sweden and Denmark should give him points too. And this is simply a weaker semi. He also has a lot of heart when he performs and you can tell he is having a lot of fun, which actually will affect some voters. Maybe he won't be the top qualifier, but he should be around 5th. Well, that's my hope, anyway, since I love him and his song.
Serbia is great song and they are one of the best live song also if aong is good running order wont mean nothing. Serbia to the final
Also Serbia wasnt popular at all and was lower in 2015 but when live came she killed it. So nothing can be said before may
I think Ukraine, Slovenia and Denmark are going trough because of running order.
I'm wishing Denmark, Slovenia and Moldova for qualifying... I don't care about the other ones at this point.

The Netherlands and first half feels like a warm blanket, but on the other side, only time we had 2nd half, we finish 2nd xD I was really convinced they would let NL open the show. So i'm very glad with position 8 and also after Moldova which is meh. I think Romania and Serbia will fight for the last ticket, just like Austria and Macedonia last year.

I really can't see Julia getting points from Ukraine. Maybe 1 or 2 at the most, but I'm sure it will be all over Ukrainian TV (if it isn't already) that she performed in Crimea after it was annexed and how she was banned from entering Ukraine and therefore Eurovision last year. I think most Ukrainians would be very sour seeing her perform. And with the song not really standing out in any way, I just don't see them giving her any points.
I don't think Ukraine gave many (if any) points to Russia in 2014. They weren't around in 2015 to give points of course and Russia wasn't last year, so I'm going off 2014's record more than 2016 since Russia weren't too remarkable that year and Sergey in 2016 had a fun, well-staged song that genuinely appealed to Ukrainians who were probably all familiar with his music as he's very popular there.
Åsa S Yeah, Ukraine and Russia used to be best friends and always gave each other 12 points, so I'm not surprised that they've given more points to Russia than any other country, but of course things are a lot more sour. Still, you're right that they have so many Russian people living there, so I suppose they could give Russia some points. But, I still believe they won't give them many...but I guess we'll see.

I’m happy with were serbia is sandwiched between 2 mehh songs it may be the best out of romania and san marino that are after norway and before Denmark. I’m gonna have to brace myself that denmark and hungry are gonna qualify :(

Rebeka Kollarics yeah.... I do know that.... But Hungary usually qualifies from the 6-10th slots rather than the 1-5th slots and this is a whole new genre for esc! I would like to see Hungary in the final and do as well as last year but this song has me on the fence
Exactly. People should stop with the death slot 2-myth. In the final, yes. In the semi finals, not.
Slot 19 has a 100% qualification rate in the first semi final. Both times it was Greece that finished 1st both times.
*Norway* as the opening song. Yass! I always thought that would be great, but then Goodbye from *Romania* right after that 😂 Sorry I find that quite funny. It's a tough spot for sure.
The *Netherlands* and *Australia.* Again (my) highlight of the night like in the first semi (end of 1st half) They actually offsets each other a little. Both lyricly and musically, but not to worry Australia, of course you will pull through.
Another thing I wish to point out. *Latvia* and *Sweden.* Laura:"I'm just a funny girl to you". Benjamin: "I just wanna da, da, dance you off"😂
Why exactly do we worry about Latvia ? The song is unique enough to stand on her own. Plus Laura is a great singer/performer, with class and character. Also having a funny name may help her in the end. Have I said too much ? 🤗 *Hungary* going before her won't matter, having a completely different appeal.
*Ukraine* to close the curtains is quite good.
I think Romania will surprise the audience.
The only times Sweden was in the second half of 2 semifinal was in 2012 and 2015! 🤔

I don't really care about the running order. The songs have been known for a long time, so everyone already has their own favorites anyway
i should swap moldova and russia because russia is better before the netherlands and moldova better after the slow dark song from denmark soyeah mmmm also not really happy that ukraine is ending the show because i should pick a more dancy song like cyprus in sf1🤔 (maybe poland or hungary because its unique)
The producer should put Hungary and Sweden head to head in the row! And weird but true, Moldova and Montenegro pop out with this running order!
Serbia is destroyed with running position
Hope Slovenia,Malta and Latvia will qualify. I think that all of them won't qualify but I hope at least one of them
The order only makes a very slight difference. If it’s position matters in its selection then it’s not much of a song.
However I will say that producers clearly put strong songs in key locations to keep interest and for better flow. That’s why you see patterns over the years.
I think the order definitely matters actually, if you for example put Hungary between Georgia and Lithuania it would definitely stand out but if you put it between Czechia and Israel it would stand less out. Might not mean no qualification, but might influence a couple of votes which could be crucial. (Just hypothetical, I know these are not in the same semis.)
It has a larger impact with the televotes, less with the juries.
I don't understand why Latvia is left alone in last few years. Nobody will vote for Latvia again. of course song is not good enough, but still. Not fair. .Greece and Cyprus again together, will vote for each other. Romania and Moldova together, again will exchange points. Sweden and Norway. Slovenia, Poland, Ukraine and probably Montenegro will give a points to each other. Russia will have a lot of points from Moldova, Ukraine, Georgia, Latvia. Latvia always gives very high points to Russia while Russia usually gives a few points to Latvia. Estonia with Finland also together. Even Lithuania is in better position, despite they don't have Latvia and Poland in their semi, but They will have votes from Ireland and UK. Latvia will have nothing. Probably last place again this year.

Funny. You must be joking :D It is almost the same song they had 2018. Weird wanna be MJ which he is not and odd staging sadly Finnish jury will kiss Swedish ass Again and give 12 points for the worst Swedish represantive for ever durin Eurovision. :D
