Avallac'h is my favourite character(closely followed by Regis). He is smart, most powerful sorcerer we ever meet, knowledgeable, tragic, a morally grey character(which is basically an essential characteristic for me) but most of all, one of Ciri's greatest allies and mentors. Despite our mistrust, Eredin's poisonous words and most importantly his own hatred he never fails her. Thank you for this! Amazing!
Jaykinsy Yeah, and he had to kill sacrifice his life's work to do it. Sadly the main cast doesn't understand the magnitude of effort he's put to stopping Eredin.

Even less reason to trust him is by words of the elf 'companion' in Avallac'h's.

I'm glad Cdpred made him a positive character, a friend of Geralt and Ciri. In the books he was the opposite. But i liked him there a lot too. I don't understand why so many people don't like him, he is a good character

I love this tribute. I've only played the Witcher 3 and I instantly fell in love with Avallac'h. He is such an intriguing characters right from when he's first mentioned. I wish we got to see more of him, especially interactions with Ciri. I truly believe he had feelings for her, even if he didn't openly say it, and she possibly in return (listen to the way she talks about him and how upset she gets by what the elf in his lab says). I can't thank you enough for editing this video. I've watched it over and over again. The bgm, the scenes, his low and sexy voicelines, his feelings, his thoughts…I can totally feel all of them toward this video! Avallac'h is my favourite character of all. He is a less defined, complex, conflicted and elusive grey hero. He help Geralt find Ciri in the book, but then forced Ciri to have children with his king, a relatively antagonistic "enemy", which was why most people don't like him or never trust him. But anyway, at least in the game, he didn't betray us, he's our comrade this time. He is intelligent, calm, proud and capable, but in many situations he is still "weak", hesitant and struggling. His reluctance to reveal his feelings nevertheless made me very interested in guessing what he was thinking. I think the game hints at some subtle changes in his feelings with Ciri, which is something I really enjoyed exploring. Anyway, he's a special hero in the Witcher universe. No matter he's good or evil, he deserved to be loved and thank you so much for editing him such an amazing video.

I really enjoyed this tribute. Avallac'h is a character who will always intrigue me and I hope if there is ever a Witcher 4 that follows Ciri that he plays a large roll in it. His choices in the book and his attempt at redemption/ trying again in the games needs more room to grow.

Nice tribute :) I hate and love Avallac'h at the same time; He's interesting and fascinating - as is Eredin, though game-Eredin is just a flat villain - but I wish CDproject gave him more screen-time, some backstory to explain why Ciri started to trust him and how he suddenly redeemed and changed his mind about Cirilla.
Legendary hereos: Deattlaff please!!! He's the savior of many villagers, hes a true hero!! And the most, he get bretayed from the one he loved and he wanted to protect, hes a true hero no one mortal can handle that. Nice videos btw very good!

Wow! Another grate video the music and scene timing is perfect. I really love Avallac'h and I find it sad when people keep asking what is real motives are? Every character of the Witcher are not black or white, all good or all evil, they all have different facets. Like Iorveth said of the world :«...It's more shade of greys I would say» and it go with everyone of them including Geralt and Ciri themselves.

Jaykinsy I just bought w3 recently and regret for waiting until I can get discount. RPG is not the type of game I prefer as almost all of them have low quality story and characters. I should have bought w3 with full price 2 years ago. Anyway I'm going for 3rd round.
Better late than never ^^. The Witcher 3 is probably the only RPG of these days that combine great gameplay and good story, at least for me. There were great RPG with good stories and characters in the past. Today, there are pretty rare indeed. Enjoy your 3rd round :).
Jaykinsy thanks. This third round is to kill Radovid as his action seems enough to put him into grave. Another thing I also just bought Skyrim ender scroll special edition yesterday with discount price and I feel I was right to wait. I have no idea why some people argue Skyrim is better than W3. Main story is vital for every RPG and secondly combat system and graphic quality which Skyrim failed to compete with W3. Definitely Skyrim graphic worth not more than $30 and characters seem so dead unlike W3 characters. Skyrim has only one weather condition. Always dark yet can see the environment clearly. So what's the point my companion using torch. When some kids say Skyrim is better than W3 I just roll my eyes. Duhhh
I agree with you even if I love Skyrim. Skyrim was great at its time but TW3 beat it in almost every way putting the open rpg to an another level. I don't see the point to compare these two games though. They are both RPG but the feels when you play them are pretty different.

I think Avallac'h interested in Ciri not only for her powers, if you understand what I mean. It's clearly seen during the game. His drawns (he draws her without scar because earlier Ciri says to Geralt, he did some ointment to get rid of her scar ) , then that elf in his lab, she says that Avallac'h talks about Ciri constantly what she can't understand. She also mentioned that he find a lot of Lara in Zirael (only in her). Geralt warns Ciri about Avallac'h. He said "do not be naive he will ask you something instead his help sooner or later" while Ciri said that he will give her choice.When Geralt tries to ask about his true intentions, Avallac'h only answers that he is not going to disclose his soul. What if after Eredin's death Avallac'h will be the king ? It's can be. About Zirael, at least she attracts him.I remembered how Geralt told him that Ciri would not need his help soon, and Avallac'h said he will not force her to do anything if she doesn''t want to. It's very funny actually how Geralt infuriates about Avallac'h and Ciri ))))

The thing is that we can only make suppositions since the game doesn't disclose Avallac'h's real intentions. We can have two points of view about Avallac'h's story arc. He doesn't have an hidden agenda for Ciri, end of the story or we can imagine that he's a schemer and planned a lot of things for the last of Lara Dorren's line. The second one lead us to imagine a whole new chapter in The Witcher Saga especially with Ciri. Thanks for your time :).
Yeah, I also think Avallac'h wants to be the king of Aen Elle after Auberon's death, thats one of the reasons he helped to defeat Eredin and the wild hunt. If he will be the king he would probably want Ciri beside him. In the past (in books) he wanted Cirilla and Auberon give a birth to a child with a great magic potencial. Now everything has changed. Auberon is dead, Avallac'h in his strange and enigmatic way admires Ciri. So its logical he could ask Cirilla one day about favor (for a child). At least he is the most poverful sage for now. After Auberon he is the best option for Ciri. Cirilla and her child - are power for anyone. Elves need a savior. They will go to great lengths to save their people. Her(Ciri's) child can become a savior, but they need a baby elf, not a human. So Avallac'h can offer Ciri to give a birth his child someday. If he had not thought about it, he would hardly have been so persistent in helping and protecting her.
I like this theory, especially when Ciri said "it will be a very very long time" (until Avallac'h asks her for a favour). Now thinking of reuiniting aen elle elves and humans, it could make sense. But Ciri can also become empress of her nation. Nilfgaard and Tir na Lia are both the biggest capitals of their worlds, no? Their child would connect all races and tribes. A very noble thought. What should Ciri talk with Galahad, he would hardly understand. And Hjalmar is a good guy shure, but doesn' t fit to Ciri, he would follow her like a little dog. AvallacH is like Geralt, cool, patient, collected and wise. Ciri would respect him more than other men. Ciri would not dare to dance around his nose.
Yes he was nice, but not a hero,not even close, I never trusted him, at first he was a asshole with geralt, now he was a little more neutral because he betrayed the wild hunt, to help his people, and bc we had a common enemy too (the White Frost)
I can understand why you don't trust him. His elven manners don't help him, do they ? ^^ Well, he was on the side of the heroes for a moment and for that I wanted to consider him as one even if it was just temporary.

He wasn’t that bad in the books. Ciri thought that he was a lighter shade of grey.

Yeah, I also think Avallac'h wants to be the king of Aen Elle after Auberon's death, thats one of the reasons he helped to defeat Eredin and the wild hunt. If he will be the king he would probably want Ciri beside him. In the past (in books) he wanted Cirilla and Auberon give a birth to a child with a great magic potencial. Now everything has changed. Auberon is dead, Avallac'h in his strange and enigmatic way admires Ciri. So its logical he could ask Cirilla one day about favor (for a child). At least he is the most poverful sage for now. After Auberon he is the best option for Ciri. Cirilla and her child - are power for anyone. Elves need a savior. They will go to great lengths to save their people. Her(Ciri's) child can become a savior,
but they need a baby elf, not a human. So Avallac'h can offer Ciri to give a birth his child someday. If he had not thought about it, he would hardly have been so persistent in helping and protecting her.

I like this theory, especially when Ciri said "it will be a very very long time" (until Avallac'h asks her for a favour). Now thinking of reuiniting aen elle elves and humans, it could make sense. But Ciri can also become empress of her nation. Nilfgaard and Tir na Lia are both the biggest capitals of their worlds, no? Their child would connect all races and tribes. A very noble thought. Yes he was nice, but not a hero,not even close, I never trusted him, at first he was a asshole with geralt, now he was a little more neutral because he betrayed the wild hunt, to help his people, and bc we had a common enemy too (the White Frost)
I can understand why you don't trust him. His elven manners don't help him, do they ? ^^ Well, he was on the side of the heroes for a moment and for that I wanted to consider him as one even if it was just temporary.
