Superb animation by Studio MIR as always
He maxed out his Aard skill tree
Meet Vesemir: The Obi-Wan of the Witcher Universe appearantly
that leshen almost sounds like its saying a curse
Here Leshy looks like some kind of lich from classic MMORPG games like Warcraft, and with Japanese tentacles. When I saw the trailer, it didn’t even occur to me that it was Leshy. And this is bad - after all, the design of this spirit in the game was more refined.
Vesemir actually looks like a hybrid of Trevor Balmont and Levi Ackerman, flying on his chain between the trees.
0:34 Does anyone know how they made the sound effect of the medallion here?!!!
this is an old comment, but sounds like a Tibetan singing bowl to me. probably lower in octaves.
Lore: Witchers are called "witchers" because the mages who created them saw their magical ineptitude and figured they were only good for parlor tricks, and petty witchcraft. Hence "Witchers"
Netflix: 2:00
Witcher is translation of wiedzman. What you are saying is partly true because witches call them witcher with disdain. But witchers can be decent with their magic
Witchers: The Medieval Jedi
There is so much wrong with this, I just can't...
Not only does Vesemir not look even remotely like Vesemir, he looks like a dude from the 21st century. No way that kind of hair style would work without daily access to modern fashion products and daily care. The kid has the same issue of not only looking like he does not belong in such a place and time, but also not acting like he was almost killed by a giant monster.
And then you have the "leshen" which is more akin to a lesser vampire. Humanoid, fleshy features, high physical agillity, beast-like intelligence and behaviour, and of course, bats. You know, typical for a Leshen...
The leshens are meant to be forest spirits who makes physical bodies from matirial found around their teretory (wood, bones, grass etc), which is why they all look different and unique from one another. This one just straight up looked like a monster and not like a leshen in the slightest, and not a spirit either. he might have burned the body but unless he banishes the spirit it would just come back... Had it been a real Leshen that is.
Did you see the movie? If you did, you would know why this one looks like this and why it actually spoke before it died
@@greekjohn1998 they still shouldnt call it a leshen when it isnt one
@@bluntlyhonest6803 K dude
@@bluntlyhonest6803 Watch the movie
@@emilienndofula8679 im sticking to cannon spurve materiel or things that represent it correctly.

This was an amazing fight. Lucky kid to come across a Witcher while being hunted by a Leshen. The face at 2:15 has me hollering. 😂
That kid must be very lost considering this are the northern realms and nor Zarakania.
Not really. Ofiri & Zangvebari regularly interact with the northern realms through trade. Just say what your actual problem is rather than pretend geography is your issue.
@@miraafloyd So merchants took a little kid to do what? Sell him as a slave? If it was a grown mercenary, mercenary or foreign ambassador It would be more believable If you wanna call people racist just say so. Don't pretend like you actually know anything about the franchise. Especially when Ofiri are more Persian/Middle Eastern and not Nigerian like.
"Forest hobo" lol
Calling them that from now on
@@-Gilver same
A talking leshen? Interesting
A bewitched leshen
@@mobkun8724 mutant leshen
Damn vesemir really just used a rasengan
Meanwhile in Monster Hunter World
Hunter is being swarmed by crows and jagras while bleeding by ancient Leshen.
Hunter: how does Geralt makes this look easy!!!!?
Proceeds to have horrific flashbacks of Ancient Leshen and Extremoth...
Proceeds to have Rathalos flashbacks
The music, sound effects are so great
Kinda of disappointed that we don’t see more from the other skills (cat, snake, bear, griffon) but it looks good so far
To be fair, only "canon" Schools are Wolf, Cat, and Griffin.
Griffin arguably has the least show time. Only Coen really is mentioned if i remember and the guy went and got himself killed in a battlefield.
And I thought they fooked things up with netflix "adaptation".
It`s like they couldn`t decide between naruto-style fighting and dragon ball style fighting.
When one cartoon movie proved better than an entire season of The Witcher.
Animation will always be better than live action
@@pleatedcargos true, animated tales have a few advantages over live action. Animation will have better action as it's not confined by the physics of the real world. It can also have far more fantastical locations. However, those advantages do not extend to storytelling and acting. In those two areas Nightmare of the Wolf has The Witcher TV series beat.
Your opinion is unqualified and irrelevant.
@@phoenixj1299 and you add absolutely nothing to the conversation...except taking up line space.
@@pleatedcargos better action...possibly, though that depends on the studio handling the animation. However, animated movies don't automatically have a leg up in acting, mood, or quality of story over live action.
If that's how young Vesemir looked, then damn do I need a piece.
Now that it’s dead pick up the random sword in its sternum.
2:47 "QUICK, YOUR STAMINA IS RECHARGED,DO IT AGAIN !"
Damn, this movie is just Castlevania, but The Witcher. I mean, I like both of those things, I'm game.
Seeing Vesermir in his golden ages just brings me joy
м-да, негры в Польше в 12 веке, сюда
I look forward to when Vesemir rocks his hat that Lambert wore during the bender session with the boys at Kaer Morhen😂😂😂
This is so fucking cool i absolutely love this i wish we had more of it. I wish we had more but like with even better animation this show deserves all of the budget
netflix : "lets butcher everý franchise we possiblý can.. wich one is next..?"
A Witcher taking on a leshen:
-only takes several minutes
-kills it with just one igni
-doesn't need help
The fifth's Saphire Star taking on a leshen:
-takes half a day
-igni only fliches at best
-still struggle's even with the help of a venomous wyvern and a suicidal cat

2:14 Sokka face.
Always gets me everytime 😂
Vesimir out here throwing Resigans
Learn Eskel, LEARN!
For the whole swarm sequence i was like "Man just use Igni and burn them"
Was wondering why henry cavills eyes were black in the first episode of the Witcher until I watched this and can recognize thunderbolt potion anywhere
yea i always forget vesemir is a badass old witcher, in the game he is the goofy serious uncle
