@@jenswilke3600 It's absolutely the case that this is just a re-arrangement of Shibolet. I like this version better, but it is just a variation on a theme, not an original composition.
We can tell you are from the USA. Because when we played Master of Magic on our NTSC C64, the music was sped up by about 13%. And that's the pace you are playing here. Just how I remember. ❤❤❤
please..Wow this is so cool, you're so cool brother...This is note perfect...Lots of love and best wishes to you from Southampton UK...God bless you all...2022 wake up people....
Just began to learn piano and this one is on my to-play list... eventually, but dude, what's the hurry? The Minotaur isn't going to go away, no need to rush the music, needs more chill and mellow. 👍 😁 Great play by the way.
Dude, this is so nice. I had never heard this tune before (we didnt have this game) but it's really interesting with this intricate melody and rhythm patterns. And your rendition of it gives the original a run for its money I'd say :).
Seriously stunned. The ending fade played on multiple keys is just nuts, Dude, and I know all those notes off by heart in my head! Brilliant! So glad I found your channel!
Yes indeed! You can hear similar melodies for sure. I didn't get the same vibe, though. Rob has a way of creating a whole new mood and I did my best to capture that
The first game I bought that let my Commodore's SID really shine (Koronis Rift's tune was a bit short and the Rocky Horror Show's Time Warp version wasn't bad, but technically boring) - an unforgettable memory, thanks for doing this!
You gotta do more of these sessions. I know you can download note sheets for many C64 classics, which would be helpful to a talented pianist like yourself.
i would literally load up the game just to listen to this piece of music. besides you being insanely good player, what a treat to hear it on piano!!! THANK YOU so much for sharing this with the rest of us. do you have sheet music you can point us towards?
Didn know harrison ford could play the piano so good 👍
At last. People who realise this is a masterpiece.
or is it Shibolet by Synergy that is the masterpiece?
@@gonz808 but that is the piece.?

Ace rendition, *+1*
One of my favorite C64 tunes!

Well...that made me cry....thanks dude - so beautiiful...my favorite game song of all time
Someone should share this to Rob Hubbard. A great version that captures much of the original.
Rob Hubbard's wasn't the original. That would be Larry Fast aka Synergy.
Here's the original:

I prefer Hubbard's version.
You, Sir. Are a master
You’re playing this from memory. I LOVE it.
I have met Rob, and he would be FUCKING PROUD AS PUNCH! Brilliant!
Just amazing. You have a great talent. I played this game 40 years ago and have never forgotten the tune.
This arrangement really conveys the magical message.
That was goddamn genius! ;-)

Great play by the way.
Yep, I'm planning to re-do this one a bit slower, freshly tuned piano, and possibly some improv.
Fantastic.
Incredible arrangement! What a joy to listen to.

Very good sir! 👌
I bet you would rock out with Racing Destruction Set music on that piano too!

wow so wonderful ! one of my favorite game too ! and your cover is fantastic !
Amazing!! I played in this game many years ago :) Music is awesome for 8bits :)
This is exceptional and a joy to watch / listen. Thanks for sharing!
Master of Music
Fantastic!
Have you ever heard the original inspiration for this composition? It was called "Shibolet" by Larry Fast, under the artist name Synergy.
Yes indeed! You can hear similar melodies for sure. I didn't get the same vibe, though. Rob has a way of creating a whole new mood and I did my best to capture that
Thanks for this.

Superb
DUDE!!!!!!
Really impressive
Awesome! Respect!
3:10 onwards ARE YOU F’ING KIDDING ME?!!!?
Gosh.
You gotta do more of these sessions. I know you can download note sheets for many C64 classics, which would be helpful to a talented pianist like yourself.
Dr. Abuze, Paul is actually creating his own arrangements, and I believe his arrangements are available.
I’m on it! Next one will be Paperboy.
Shit a brick 2:00 - 2:30.
Master Perfect :)

Oh shit. Not even heard it yet.
Sounds like a Bartok piece somehow ... neat!
🎹🔥🎼
👍
It's good but it doesn't share that same slower melodic pace of the original. Just a little too fast. Buy great job none the less.
Sounds great. But for my PAL ears the tempo seems too fast.
Steinway O?
Steinway B. The fallboard was badly scratched, but I’ve refinished it now 😊
That song looks insanely difficult to play.
