This is my very first G-SHOCK watch which I bought on my birthday two years ago. I love its robust design. Today I have 6 G-SHOCK watches already. But I'm still keeping this one because of some kind of "attachment" to it. :)
The analog hand set is not quite as bad as you stated. If you hold down the bottom right button until the hands start advancing at high speed you can then press the top right button. This locks the high speed movement so you can then release the two buttons. You can stop it with any button press when you get close. Not great, but better than holding it and waiting for 11 hours to pass like the G-100 models.
Got mine as a 25th birthday present. Still works amazingly to this day, the only problem you didn't mention is, that the minute hand completely covers the right display. Meaning if you (like i do) have the date on the right, you can't see it when it's at quarter past.
My dad got this around 2008 and gave it to me later. It's still functioning well to this day even after all the water and beating it has been getting over the years, and only had a batter replacement once if I remember correctly. The only downside is the button being mushier over the years and the strap not looking as great as it used to. All in all, I'd definitely get another G-shock whenever this one dies
As a “mature” female l find most baby g’s stupid looking too big to pink or lavender and generally silly looking plus who want to walk around with BABY G plastered on your watch this model you are reviewing was a godsend to me l wanted a g shock a REAL one and if you can’t see how beautiful and functional this lovely little watch is l suggest you read some of the Amazon customer reviews on the AW-590 since l baught this watch l also now have the solar model AWG-M100 but l still prefer the original l kow have the AW-591GBX-19 and that watch is STUNNIG !!better looking than bloody baby g plus l love the seconds graph at 12 o’clock and this g shock looks more like a traditional chronograph lm surprised you can’t see this model is special among g shocks Robyn from sydney
Thank you for your review of this watch, I am looking at the all black version of this watch which I like very much. How does this watch compare in size to the "Casioak" GA-2100?
Hey Watch Geek, I have a tough question for you! I bought the AW-591 from a private seller in unworn condition, so don't know how long it's been sitting unused (battery life). I noticed that the LED works in a weird way. When I push the button for the first time, it lights up the analog hands just like in your video. When pushing the light for the second time and onwards, it gets weaker and weaker each time (plus it seems to light up normal for the first second then dim to a weaker light) until at fifth push it almost doesn't illuminate anything anymore. Is the LED broken on my watch, or is this a sign of weak battery ? Does the watch have any dedicated End of life indicator for the battery ? Other than the light issues it seems to work just fine.
I've had this watch for about 12 months now and, although it isn't flawless, I really like it. Not all G-Shocks are "pretty" and some are downright ugly... but this watch is well proportioned and subtle... for a G-Shock anyway. Mine gets a lot of wrist time.
*-My largest Casios are the GD-100-3263 & GR-8900-3269. My diminutive Casios are the G-2310R-3192, its daddy, GW-2310-1(being shipped), & a non-G-Shock F-91W-593. I’m a man of small hands & wrists but the straps on my G-2310R are just too short. They should be deemed defective. The epitome of a design flaw.*-

Awww mannn this is my watch :) I like it. But I don't love it. One of the mini-dial should have displayed the date while the other one display the time in digital numbers. They do that on the solar version I assume, which costs $30 more. But solar means no battery change in a longgg time. So I won't recommend this one. Get a solar G-shock.
What do you think of the G9000 Mudman for smaller wrists? It is much better specced in my opinion. I've been eagerly waiting to see your review and tutorial of the G9000. Maybe sometime soon ;) As always, another honest review, keep up the excellent work mate! Love from India
Too bad there is not the solar and atomic function. Are there other analog or analog/ digital gshock without the physical seconds and with those two functions? Ps congrats for your video I never was a watch enthusiast but I am starting to appreciate this world also through your video. So thanks for what you do
@@WatchGeek ima na amazonu 360 crna varijanta meni je on nekako lepsi od svakog g shocka jednistavno prelep sat, nema osvetljenje i malo funkcija ali sat je odlican pozdrav.
If Casio ever slimmed down the bezel and button area _a bit more_ and added Seiko-like lume to simple models like this, watch geeks the world over would lose their collective shit.
I have mine for almost 8 years now. Would recommend 100%.

Same.😄

Didn't know that, thanks for letting me know 👍👍

my first gshock.. 11yrs.. and still looking oh so fine..
Is it normal for the outer resin case of the watch to be loose? Will it affect the water resistance and shock resistance of the watch?
No, u easily can buy and install new bezel
4 years later.. Torn between this one and G7710 (I know both these models are discontinued and rare, but I like the subtle looks of these watches)
Are they actually rare? and how rare? because I have like 2 laying around
@@MessiXRonaldoEditsIn India they’re not available widely. Currently there’s only one site which lists these models.
Got from this series this model with solar and multiband 6. Cool watches :)
Good review! The GWM500 is another nice, relatively small gshock. It can be had for around the same price, but it’s non-analog and solar atomic.
Bless you sir.
Thank you for your review of this watch, I am looking at the all black version of this watch which I like very much. How does this watch compare in size to the "Casioak" GA-2100?
There's the awgm100 which is solar atomic with a similar case size, but i think it's a USA only model
You can get the aegis-m100 in Sydney australia through amazon
It's June 2022 and I still have this watch in my rotation. What is the outside ring in the seconds window show?

Yes, most likely a weak battery
Are the hands aligned perfectly?

Are there any square model that has solar and low temperature display function????
It is too small for my taste, but I would still rock it.

Hi what camera and lens do you use for your videos?
Panasonic Lumix G85 and the lenses are Panasonic 12-35 f2.8 and Olympus Zuiko Digital 60mm Macro

It's a great little watch, and I think it also wears slightly smaller, but I've never had the chance to handle it in real life
@@WatchGeek Well hope you do soon, can't wait for your review. Been considering buying one for some time now

I'm glad to hear I helped fuel the passion!!
There are G-STEEL models without the seconds hand as well as some older analog digital gshocks
Is this watch the same size as gas 100b
Nope, much smaller
Because I'm batman
i thought this was a watchfinder.co video from the thumbnail
I find that comment to be a compliment so thank you!!
To me Whatchfinder.co is THE BEST watch channel on UA-cam, followed by Horology House
i have this g shock. I love this watch
I got mine in 2014 and it's battery just died last month.
Oceli li biti review casio amw 320 ili 360 pozdrav.
Volio bih ga naći za recenziju, zanimljiv je
