Got out on our boat on the river last Saturday. Drove around and found some life dropped some lines in ended up catching 3 fish. Biggest was a 25lber. Like ya said just got to get out and put some time in and it'll happen. The bank fishing wasn't working out so good. We did get a 15lb channel though and all the turtle bites. Thanks for the inspiration and advice.
That's awesome to hear!!! Keep on em. They should be biting real good the next few weeks as the water temps drop. The daytime bite should be on fire soon
@@hammer-downcatfishingwithj7223 Yeah we are going to keep heading out on the weekends as long as the weather holds up all through October. Got archery coming in so got to put my time in there during the weekdays to get some meat in the cooler. But catching them fish is my favorite for sure. Can't get enough fishing lol.
Hell yeah guys! Watched the video last night of yourself using the Mooneye. Got one more day of work today then out tomorrow (Friday).... gonna try and get closer to the dams because we only had an hour or so of rain today and there's probably still not much current on the river here near Fayette County. Im guessing you guys found some good current in this video?
You guys were putting it on them ,I was waiting for the arrow on that last fish takedown , do you think the approaching cold front will affect the bite this weekend?
Whats up Bret. I think it might slow them down briefly but once we are in a consistent weather pattern again it'll be fire. I can't prove this but I go by the rule of 3, typically 3 days after a major front event they eat heavy.
Love watching your videos would like to know dates and water conditions. I think it would be great information to let viewers know. Thanks for the vdeos.
Thanks for watching! I'll start updating conditions at the start of the videos. I was doing that in my earlier videos but for some reason got away from it...This video was filmed 2 weeks ago on the Ohio River in Pittsburgh, water temp was 78°
I mainly fish the top of the ohio river in Pennsylvania. Just flatheads and channels. The fish commission is scheduled to reintroduce blue cats to our area, they are starting to stock them this fall
