What is missing is Auto Gain. That would simplify the workflow that much more without having to manually adjust the output after the plugin amplified the signal dB increase. If nothing more, provide the option to engage Auto Gain or not.
I have only tried the Magma channel strip a little bit but I'm impressed by how its functionality is often enough because of the great sound without needing more surgical EQ etc.
Would've been solid with a Mix knob for the compressor and no single switch or limitation on the HPF..Still sounds great especially on the drums and vocals!
Would love to see some auto gain and mix options along with re-ordering of modules and some form of expansion tab that allows you more control of each section should you need it. Great plugin for simplicity but not a surgical tool by any means. 👍🏻
Can't wait to hear his frustration about companies making hardware features exist on software that's based on a hardware product that doesn't actually exist. LMAOOO
Hi there, Magma Channel Strip features extra-accurate processing at fixed 2x oversampling. This is mentioned on the product page: www.waves.com/plugins/magma-tube-channel-strip
OMG, my favorite channel strip has been Scheps Omni Channel (extremely powerful) -- but I love how Magma Channel streamlines the process. It's almost two extremes of complexity, which will be really nice to have. I loved BB Tubes so I'm especially excited about this offering! I already know it'll sound great, but I'm looking forward to the minimal settings. It looks very fast to operate.
@@waves Ha! I had some time with it last night and it's OUTSTANDING! I posted a particularly glowing review in the thread for it in the New Product Alerts section of Gearspace. The streamlined controls are really well designed, and hats off to your UI artist/designer. I know looks don't matter but the attractive visuals make this tool approachable and extra fun to use.

The attack on the compressor is a bit too fast, I hope Waves adds a button to give us a slow attack as well. The compressor is great but it can squash a track's transients too much. Otherwise it looks like another winner for Waves!!
Will this “rich analog tone” make me rich enough to afford a subscription to your service? After I’ve, you know, already bought your plugins? RIP Waves, and goodbye
I mean, this can get all the hate and bad reviews. But when this plugin gets used by legendary mix engineers and win Grammys, it just changes everything.

I agree those would have been great features to add. I think Dan's explanation in the last 30 secs of the vid was the driver behind those decisions.
Waves plugins is the best in the world 🌎 live a like if u a using waves plugins 🔥🔥🔥
Cool. And thanks for level matching! 👍
i really appreciate simplicity
Its sick!
Love Magma! Haven't had to push far for how I've been using it, very little tweaking for pretty decent results 🔥🔥

Hello! I am Korean. Doing music is very helpful and fun thanks to the kind videos you and your company posted. Thank you always ! !
I was just about to buy that plug-in as a one time purchase. Due to the new subscription model of waves I will need to find an alternative
Really great tone, and the workflow seems so much more on point than half the other channel strips out there
This sounds clean. This is what I was lacking.
Magma is the G
You put a control on an actual _screw_ just to piss off White Sea Studio, didn't you? 😅

te amo, saludos de Argentina!
Lack of oversampling option makes this a no-go for me in 23'

Appreciate you! Keep enjoying it :)
Stoked to try this when I get home! Hope it's good on cpu and has the oversampling options the magma tubes has

Loved it on bass and elec guitars but hated it on drums and acc guit. 🤷♂️
It looks stunning, though 😍

Waves has done it again.

Somebody go get Dan Warrell
Dan Cooper !
HAHAHHAHA
🧐
get rid of the second "m" and ill buy just for the name. maga rap is going strong 2023
Strange no oversampling option which the tubes has. If you are pushing saturation you don't want aliasing. Surprising that its omitted here
@@Drfresh1402 the BB Tubes has a selection box in the menu bar so you could choose the various levels of oversampling. This doesn't have that
