So as for as the debate between eq or comp I use a dynamic eq, since I already somewhat evened it out a little bit already with the automation since I usually automate the vocals/vocal rider first before pitch correction. And yeah a bunch of saturation and sidechaining.
So but other than that our chain is pretty similar !

First off, thank you for the video. Awesome job! I'm just trying to break it down so I can understand it fully.
I've gathered that you record into the antares auto tune for pitch purposes...
Now, is the antares plugin placed directly on the hot mic input? or on the channel that is receiving the mic input?
Following that you build your Vocal chain within StudioRack:
1. Noise supressor (NS1 by Waves / Bertom Denoiser) 'remove noise for cleaner sound'
2. Compression (RComp or Vocal Rider by Waves) 'barbershop analogy / even out the vocals for consistency/evenness'
3. Subtractive EQ (waves) 'cut out muddy, boxy, and nasally frequencies'
4. Addative EQ (waves) 'clarity and sparkle'
5. De-Esser (waves) 'squish harsh sibilance'
6. Compression (RVOX waves) 'has nice fullness and noise gate'
7. Limiter (L1 Limiter by Waves) 'for loudness?'
8. De-Esser (waves) 'to control sibilance in vocals'
Modulation effects for sonic preference:
1. Doubler4 / any widener / delay plugin with widening effect (mesh in vocals well with instrumental)
2. Delay (give it life)
3. Reverb

-12db pre plug ins is what i do but as long as the signal is loud enough and consistent when going into the plug ins

A car is a good alternative as well. Some songs from my last album were recorded in my car
